I must apologize for the times between my posts. It is becoming quite difficult lately to find free time (and energy) with my job changing as drastically as it is. I do intend on "picking up the pace" here shortly as things should be calming down more in the next couple weeks.
This being said, I will be out of country next week (Aug 1 - Aug 18) and seeing Germany for business. I don't believe I will be able to post much during that time.
Male Human XP: 3150 Fighter 2 HPs 24/24 AC 17/T12/FF15
Apologies, have been working at our local music festival since last Thursday, I didn't warn this game. However if I go missing I always try to put something on Deevor's page. Always a good place to look, if you miss Gorax.
Andrei's supposed to go where that gigantic question mark is now, but beyond the fact that he's towing a mule, I've got almost no idea what he looks like. And yes, Stellan looks like Elan in a scarf. That's what his description said to me.
The link is working for me. Nice rift on OotS. And Stellan does have Elan like appearance and even personality. He's less charismatic and smarter though. I'm not sure if you missed my link to my effort with Hero machine3 to make my character's appearance.
Here's an improved version, which includes Andrei. Speaking of which, I don't know what you mean about seeing a gray box, Andrei, but it should be fixed now.
Thanks! I wasn't sure what colors to associate with Andrei, and I'm still not totally happy with his design. Any advice?
That goes for everybody, by the way, though I'm much happier with all the other characters' designs. I've edited Stellan to make it look more like the HM3 workup, for instance.
Looks good indeed, Anwel. We've got an interesting little party, eh?
So it would seem. Also, thanks.

The colours are good for now, I think he'll switch to more colourful clothes if we become more important. (probably red purple or blue not sure)
I'll probably do a group shot like this for the beginning of each book, plus some plot-relevant scenes. Any drastic changes of appearance will be noted.
I added eyebrows to Bimbur, which might or might not give the effect you're looking for. I tried fiddling with his mouth, making the frown more severe, that kind of thing, but whatever I did looked ridiculous.
Speaking of weapon likenesses - thanks for the compliment by the way - I finally figured out how to fix what was bugging me about Andrei's design. He's now carrying a shield. This does two things: it helps break up Andrei's symmetry, which I found very boring, and, by covering some negative space, it lets me put Andrei far away enough from his mule so that he can look like he's leading it. Lemme know if it should bear a device.
This one comes complete with background, and, if the style wasn't enough, a further homage to OOTS in the form of totally ripping off the book covers. Other changes include reworking the characters' placement to fit in the frame, and removing Andrei's sword from his "walking around" model because it made it look cluttered.
Andrei was put in the background because I needed someone there, and he felt to me like the character that would be most impacted by, and would most drive, the events of book 1 of Kingmaker. However, my judgment on such matters is far from infallible, so I'll throw the question open. Which PC do you all think should be in the background for Stolen Land? Keep in mind that there are five books to go, and the PC that shows up here, there being six of us and my wanting this to be fair, will not show up anywhere else. For instance, I wouldn't put Anwel there because I think (hope) that there will be a series of events in and around the time of book 3 in which he will feature most prominently.
IIRC, the end of his trip was merely comflated with his resumption of posting. He did not say he'd resume posting on the 19th, only that the trip represented a further difficulty piled on the others (work etc.).
Have computer issues, need to reformat drive, may take a day or two to get back posting. Bit inconvient to reload all the software but other thean that should be OK. Thanks for the well wishes.
Get well Udo, I know the feeling of being uncreative when sick.
And now for something completely different. Well, not completely different, we've talked about it before. But I've kinda flip-flopped on the idea of leveling when Kudos says rather than going by XP. Mostly this is because of the number of adventures I've heard are quite decent to drop into this AP (Fellnight Queen of course, but also Kobold King and Carnival of Tears). Should we do more than one of these, plus the AP as written, we might have too much XP going into the final chapters. What do y'all think?
17/17HP; AC17/13/14; Fort +4 Ref +6 Will +0; Init+3; Perception +7
That's a good point, Anwel. I know that my DM was going to drop in even some 3.5 converted stuff like the Mud Sorcerer's Tomb. In any case, it might indeed be a good idea to go by whenever he wants us to level up instead.
And thank you all for the well wishes. I'm feeling better, bit by bit.
Male Human Bard 2 (Arcane Duellist); HP: 22/22; AC: 15/11/14; Saves: F +2, R +4, W +1; Init: +1; Per: +3
Great to hear you are improving hope it continues. I'd love to do extra stuff on the side but I am concerned at how long pbp takes and want to know what happens in this plot.
