I am looking to start Kingmaker the Stolen Lands but we need two more players. We haven't started playing yet so this is a fresh campaign :D
Current Classes are Paladin, Fighter and a Monk.
Info on me:
I am from the UK so this does affect the amount I can post due to different sleepy times to everyone else (Yet to meet someone else from the UK on the boards.)
I am also a fairly new GM so I am still learning to be awesome :P I will slip up but hopefully not to badly :D Oh and for some reason I always forget to give out XP, dunno why so you may have to keep on top of me for that.
Also I am excited to play this so I will close recruitment when there are two good characters posted.

XP is often troublesome to keep track of in PbP*. It is often better to tell people when to level up. Most AP's give suggestions as to what level players before they go to area X.
*This does not apply to everyone, but the two groups that I was in that did it, everyone kept loosing track of it except for the GM.

Human demon blodded sorcerer. Bit of an embarassment to the family. Born very much on the wrong side of the blanket. Farmed out to this expidition to get rid of him. Plays up the efeete noble part but is suprisingly unafraid of hard work.
Will focus on conjuration/summoning in the long term.
Exact family is open depending on how you want to play the noble conflict.
I strongly agree with Mr.Swagger on xp. "Level by plot" i.e. level when the GM feels you have done something worth it avoids the whole xp issue and makes things SO much simpler for all concerned. Considering the ammount of paperwork this AP demands anything making things easier is a godsend.
Skeleton of Alfonso under alias. Will flesh out tonight.
About me: Tend to be a team player and very good at keeping up a daily posting schedule. Quite good with the rules but not a lawrer. Your table, your call. Located on the northwest coast of the USA if it matters.
Anyway looking forward to the game.

Hmmm looking at options and Tattooed Abyssal is a really nice bloodline for how I see Alfonso working. Even fits the backstory. The tattooing was an attempt to block and control the abyssal blood. Ancient conservative magic trying to limit the damage and keep this mistake quiet. The abyssal blood then corrupted the old magic and found a new way to express itself.
I like it.
So is the Tattooed bloodline good or no? I can work either way. I just think a familiar and some spell tattoos are more interesting than claws and demonic strength.

Actually never thought about just telling people when to level up. That would actually work fairly well, only downside is people like to feel rewarded when they kill a monster etc.
Yeah horse can be saddled already.
I think Erastil is a good choice for this campaign and like you said fits nicely with the trait.

level by plot works really really well for play by post. Having to remember every little xp award is a pain. Just try it for a level or two and you will see. Oh trust me survival in this AP is enough of a reward. From what I've heard it can be a killer. Besides removing xp lets us players focus more on role play and not worry that we will get squished if we don't grind for every xp we can. I am in a Serpants Skull game that uses plot leveling and it adds to the verisimilitatude. We are worried about survival and escape and the plot rather that the artificial construct know as XP.

I second the motion on plot-based xp. Especially in APs.
And what is Arial like?
He's an elf nerd.
He doesn't think of this as an adventure, but as a field study.
He brought his bow because he enjoys archery as a hobby.
He is fairly impractical because he's spent most of his life with his head in a book. He is a self-taught wizard who specialized in conjuration because of his grandfather's extensive library on the subject. He probably will wind up with at least a couple of levels in the Loremaster PrC.

Noble Born Orlovsky
Narciso was born as part of a real embarassment to the Orlovsky family, when one of the young women of the family was involved in a secret relationship with an elven man in the city. While they disowned the girl for bringing shame onto their family, they gave the young boy a chance. He was raised like most men in the family, trained as a stern diplomat, but still having a good sword arm to fall back upon. He did just that. But, he grew tired with his boring life, and would sneak out at night to try his hand at survival at the city at night. He ran away from his family, and saw the poster looking for people to help settle the greenbelt. He knew his immense skills would be useful to any adventuring party, signed up, and headed down to the greenbelt, hoping to bring himself favor in his family once again.

I'll go ahead and throw William Flynn into the ring. I think he's set up with 25 point buy right now and has way too much stuff, but the basic idea is there.
He is currently a Human ranger with the Trapper archetype. The character vision is to multiclass to bard and be the ultimate skill character. Trapper would make sense as his free profession.

Introducing Phynn.
========================================
Levelling all characters at the same time is a much easier option but I do feel that good/creative RP should be recognised. In my forthcoming tabletop game, I'm looking to use various rewards including skill ranks, rerolls, feats and traits as well as in-game rewards such as minor magic items/gifts, love interests, promotions and followers.
The mechanical benefits wouldn't be used to increase a characters power but to flesh them out a bit. For example, a fighter wouldn't ever get a combat feat but I may, for example, give him Skill Focus: Appraise when assessing armour, depending on the overall character concept and/or the actions performed to gain the reward.

Oops, messed up my character a bit. Replace indomitable faith with magical knack wizard. CG alignment, worships Cayden Cailien. And the free profession will be profession thief, which he picked up during his night adventures while still residing with the Orlovsky house

background
She had a typical life growing up in a large city, being taught how to fight and how to best cast spells. She did this all without complaint for she knew it might save her life one day when she would be out of her home. But she found no joy in such work, preferring to learn about the fey lands and old story's from before earth fall, Each day she would look for more forgotten lore in her city but it was not enough for her. one day while looking she saw a small thrush and did not know why it was there, she followed it for hours till it stopped right next to a book. she picked the book up, the thrush nodded to her as if to say read it, she did so and opened the book to see a hole in it showing the thrush, as she looked, she felt power and understanding flow from the thrush to her. From that time on she and the thrush were always together, the thrush pranks showed up in her behavior as well, As time went on she found it easier and more fun to use her sex apile to get
what she wanted, or just using her magic to get what she wanted. She does not like to fight, preferring to run if at all possible or disable a foe, or stalker.
After she had learned all she felt she could from her homeland at 105 she traveled to Brevoy to see what life was like for the shorter lived humans she ended up working as a bar maid in small town, she found it hard work running around all day and night but she loved to hear the story's that would be passed around, not to mention flirting with a fair number off the men that that passed by the town. she has lived in Brevoy for 15 years at this point and finds that she thinks of her self as a rostlander.
after finding out about the charter she felt she should help out if at all possible, and who knows she could learn something new along the way.
personality
She is a flirt and knowledge seeker, always looking for a good time to be had. using what ever she can to gain knowledge, but does not like to fight if she can find a way around it, tries to have everyone make peace with each other. She love a good thick book to read,

Indeed there are. I'm a minor member of the Medvyed family.
And I am apparently an idiot. I can't believe I missed you. *facepalm*
So Surtova, Orlovsky and Medvyed? Any love for Garess, Labeda, or Lodovka?
GM-Hairy, If you would be happier with a different family for Alfonso I'd be happy to change.

Don't worry, I missed that for a while, too.
So glad I'm one of the common folk. Much less stress when one isn't worrying about who is married to whom and which of the families can be trusted!!! :P
Same here, though I take it further: living in the wilds, and actively disliking most humans, especially nobles.
P.S. My character worships Pharasma, has Profession (cook), and is a tengu. For those who want to know.
