Alphonse Calderon |
Looking across to where Khargol points Alphonse decides to look with his own enhanced vision and see what he can see. "Hold a moment friends, im going to check for magic auras if there are any, Ive been neglecting to do so for some time when it can easily be done."
cast detect magic and have a gander about, its silly i havnt been using that before but hey, here we are
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua starts climbing, the best way to meat evil was to face it anyway. If it wast ivisible or fighting, it wasnt a problem. Likely it was another one of the blood words. Might have something to do with all the bodies.
Khargol Uzgurn |
Khargol waits for Sugua to get to the top of the rope ladder, then features to the others. "Come on, everyone else up the ladder. I will stand guard down here and bring up the rear."
-Posted with Wayfinder
Vladimir Ducheski |
Vladimir nods to Khargol as he heads up the rope ladder.
DM Tuyena |
Sugua spots a small congregation of mites at the end if the room he climbed up into, in addition to a large bug, though not nearly as big as the centipede.
They're speaking in a language that he doesn't understand to one another, but stop once they spot him and begin to stamp and yell.

Donovan of Restov |
Donovan heads up the ladder once Vlad and Gonzo have gone.
Gonzo the Magnificent |
Hearing the voice from within the darkness, he can only assume belongs to a mite, "Drove off? Well I'll be, perhaps we did do some harm to that over-sized arthropod." He exclaims with a blend of relief and cheerfulness.
An ingenious, as far as he believes, plot formulates in Gonzo's mind. Even though he is unaware of the beings surrounding the lone spokesmite, he precedes to concentrate for a second, in an attempt to keep the mites from hearing the conversation he magically whispers a message to Sugua:
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua studies one of the Front two mites his blade at the ready. Sugua whispers back
Gonzo the Magnificent |
In response to Sugua's reply, Gonzo turns to face the rest of the party, whispering yet another message to the entire party as a whole, again to keep the mites from eavesdropping:
I request the party does not interfere for a couple of seconds, I wish to discuss a plan with Sugua that may allow us easier passage through the tunnels.
As long as the rest of the party is okay with it, Gonzo proceeds, if not, I can retcon
Gonzo whispers another message to Sugua, though the rest of party may hear it as well:
They believe we scared off their bug lord. Let us see if they truly wish to combat us knowing what we are capable of. Repeat after me:
This is supposed to be in sylvan, I don't know where you found the translation, looking for one
"Tá tú ceart ! Buille muid do tiarna mór agus scurried sé ar ais isteach an doimhneacht an cuas . Más mian leat an chinniúint chéanna a thabhairt ar tú ansin a bheith amhlaidh é , ach tú a bheith rabhadh . An mbeidh tú ag troid agus a mharú , nó a reáchtáil agus ag maireachtáil lá eile ? Tá mé ag itching do roinnt dinnéar !"
Aid Another (Intimidate): 1d20 ⇒ 15
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua raises a brow with his white eyes to Gonzo shrugs and then Flexes mightily while trying to say the strange words.
Linguistics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Intimidate+2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
+2 Initimdate +1 Sword +2 Gonzo +4 for larger size
DM Tuyena |
These rolls. Everyday. -.-
The Mites seem taken back by Sugua's words, but yell back.
"Ag marú tú go mbeidh muid ag faigh ar ais ár Tiarnaí bhfabhar. Ní mór duit go léir bás nó a beidh muid ag bás ag iarraidh!"
"By killing you we will regain our lords favor. You must all die or we will die trying!"
So all the Mites are now shaken for like 3 rounds.
DM Tuyena |
Guess it's Initiative time.
Ok guys so the mites are that are all different that have different colored dots. If two mites share the same color dot, then they are the same. Sorry about that, not a lot of Mite pictures.
Mite #1 Init: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Mite #2&3 Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Mite #4&5 Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Mite #6 Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Mite #7 Init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Seriously??? 5 rolls below 10?
Alphonse: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Clousuk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Donovan: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Durielle: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Gonzo: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Khargol: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Sugua: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Vladimir: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Look at this nonsense. 10 out of 12 rolls below 10. Holy...Be glad this wasn't you all's turn to roll.
Ok, so Vlad, Gonzo, Durielle, and Clousuk are up.
Clousuk Sootscale |
Observing the commotion from afar, Clousuk grins toothily as the inevitable battle begins.
"Clousuk says Clousuk, come Scaleless Durielle, Scaleless Shiny One," the kobold says to his two nearby companions as he draws his rapier, "To battle!"
He scurries on ahead, sliding down to join Khargol in the chasm.
Looking up the rope ladder, Clousuk raises his sword to the air, before repeating in an even louder voice, "To battle!!!"
Starting bardic performance, 7/7 rounds.
Gonzo the Magnificent |
After some short thought, Gonzo gets an idea. As he rummages through his component pouch, he queries Alphonse, "Alphonse sir, you hail from angelkin correct? Might you possibly possess the ability to," he pulls out a small pebble, "Emit a bright light from this?" Holding it in front of the Aasimar.
For any who may have noticed, Gonzo dropped his scroll on the ground. You may be able to infer a bit of ADD coming from him (though it wouldn't have a diagnosis as of yet, at least not an accurate one)
This is assumed to take place once Alphonse can post and moves within reach.
Alphonse Calderon |
since i will likely be busy tomoro ill post my action now, if it becomes irelivant GM pc me a bit to make it work
Moving up to Gonzo, Alphonse takes the pebble from his hand and looks to him "I can indeed make a light as bright as the sun shine from a touched object, will it hamper these mites as they spend much time in the dark?" Not actually waiting for the response from Gonzo, Alphonse raises the pebble to his mouth in cupped hands, takes a breath that seems unnaturally deep and blows into his hands. in only a few quick moments light as bright as a sunny day begins to shine from between his fingers and Alphonse raises the stone in one hand above his head allowing the brightest light from the now enchanted stone to wash over the creatures in front of them
Khargol Uzgurn |
"Make room!" Khargol shouts, moving to the ladder. As soon as he is able to, he scampers up after the others.
"If anyone has a spell affecting an area, now's the time to use it!"[/b] he adds, seeing them all bunched up.
Vladimir Ducheski |
Vladimir draws his blade and readies himself for the mites to attack.
Readied Dueling Sword: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 1 = 25 (inspire - readied action would occur after Clousuk's turn based on initiative rolls above)
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10 (inspire)
Durielle Omenstar |
It becomes clear that there is some action occurring across the chasm, and as their warriors had not been attacked as they slid down and climbed the rope, she decided it should be safe enough for the rest of as well. It wasn't until she was climbing the rope ladder that it occurred to her that once all had crossed, it would not be as easy to climb back up. Hopefully, someone was an adept climber and would be able to climb the other side while lifting this rope ladder back into a rope bridge.
Seeing the commotion that Gonzo and Sugua were causing among the mites, Durielle knows that a fight is imminent. She reaches into the future and finds suggestion for what will make Khargol successful.
Durielle casts guidance on Khargol.
Duration 1 minute or until discharged
Saving Throw Will negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes
This spell imbues the subject with a touch of divine guidance. The creature gets a +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. It must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies.
Sorry for being absent! You guys blew up the thread late last night, and I didn't check before sleep. :-/
Donovan of Restov |
Spellcraft check #1 - Green: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Spellcraft check #2 - Blue: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Sugua Bran't |
Sugua takes his sword from the torch and slams in into the (pink)Mite before it can act.
Studied Inspired Greatsword Slash: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Studied Inspired Greatsword Slash Damage: 2d6 + 8 + 1d4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 8 + (4) = 23
Donovan of Restov |
"The one in blue is a priest!" shouts Donovan as he brings his own blessing to bear to aid the group.
Casting bless per usual.
DM Tuyena |
The mite in the back finally Springs into action casting a spell.
Stone Call originating on Sugua. Durielle, Clousuk and Khargol do not take damage.
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12
Everyone else gets hit, and all terrain from Sugua's position and back is now difficult terrain.
Gonzo, Vladimir, Clousuk, and Durielle are up.

Clousuk Sootscale |
Clousuk scampers on ahead, climbing up the bridge ladder as he continues his raucous-but-somehow-inspirational battle cries.
"Death to the mites! Glory to the Sootscales...! And some glory to the scaleless as well, Clousuk guess!"
Continuing performance (6/7) and double moving up the ladder... not quite sure if my positioning is right, so please move me if that doesn't work.
Khargol Uzgurn |
Think I'll let the spell go off first; that seems to be the logical order of the events to my mind.
-Posted with Wayfinder
DM Tuyena |
I suppose the better way to o phrase it Khargol is does Khargol want to get into melee? If he does then he'd climb the ladder and get hit. If he wants to guard everyone else up the ladder he stays down there. Khargol has no knowledge the spell is going to go off. It's just what does you character do in character?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Khargol Uzgurn |
I gotcha. Stay down there, then. He wouldn't want to leave the party rear exposed.
