Sorry Janku, I meant Group 3 (meaning you) instead of 3.
And how can we forget you?!? I know Gorrum hasn't forgotten about you... Even sent an inquisitor your way...

Just fyi on haste, you get an extra attack ONLY during a full-attack. I mention this because this come up in another thread of mine.

As Kriger moves down the trail, "HA! HA! Look Ma! I've brought friends!" He says wild eyed as he tosses the bow on the ground and pulls out his axe, attempting to get to the fun of killing trolls as quick as possible.

Double move to I 3.5 (I think that's 60', but I'm not entirely sure.)

Kalsgrim smiles a little as he feels the arcane power flooding into him, he releases two more arrows. Targeting troll 2.

To hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
To hit 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Damage 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Glad to add AC and hp to the header info. Anything we can do to make your job easier...

I thought that was the case, but wanted to check. Also I thought you were effected by haste, giving you 50ft movement, unless you are wearing medium armour like Davor here in which case would be 70ft.

I think Servayn cast it when I was still up the trail. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the area of affect intially. At least, Kriger wasn't mentioned. I think he was too far away.

Yup, Kriger was out of the area, so Ember got the fourth slot.

Round 1 - Janku
Janku summons a spiritual Morningstar, then closes just out of the reach of the claws of the creature. And while it would have been a mighty blow had it landed, instead the weapon thwacks loudly into a nearby stone.

Round 2 - Kalsgrim, Servayn, Davor and Kriger
Ember curses in the guttural tongue of the dragons and continues his wild attack. Twice its bite draws blood, and finally, he brings the beast to the ground. The it hits again with claws, one digging deep.

Servayn steps to near Kalsgrim and casts the second and last of his high order incantations for the day.

Secret Rolls:

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

The first troll seems lost and obviously can’t see, but the one on the ground has shaken off the effect rapidly.

Davor screams "For Gorum!" as he charges at the Troll that Ember is currently fighting, not caring about the claws that will cut down at him, holding his father's blade with all his strength and letting the lord in iron guide his strike. The troll slashes at the incoming warrior

Secret Rolls:

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

but misses its timing by an inch and the inquisitor’s sword cuts a deep gash in the beast’s thigh, bringing it down. (Troll 2 out cold for now)

As Kriger moves down the trail, "HA! HA! Look Ma! I've brought friends!" He says wild eyed as he tosses the bow on the ground and pulls out his axe, attempting to get to the fun of killing trolls as quick as possible.

Kalsgrim smiles a little as he feels the arcane power flooding into him, he releases two more arrows. Unfortunately, the arrows both fly into the woods behind.

Round 2 - The Trolls
The troll down on the ground suddenly wakes up, as its wounds heal. It tries to get up and flee. (AoO from Ember and Davor please as he gets up. It’s blind and prone, so I’ll just assume he is brought back down. I’ll adjust if you both manage to miss.)

The other troll slashes with both claws at the summoned eidolon.

Secret Rolls:

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 261d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 161d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

A single claw catches Ember in the jaw, cutting deep. (-8 hp to Ember)

Status

Haste on Kalsgrim, Davor, Janku and Ember, round 2/4 (two rounds left)
Shield of Faith on Janku.

Special request: in your status, instead of putting your class race and level, it would be really helpful if you’d put AC and HP. Thanks if you’ve done so. It really helps!

Hey Janku, it looks like you're actually 10' away.

Kriger moves as quickly as he can to help the others with the last one standing.

Double move to D.5, 6.5. The square directly south of Janku. If I got it wrong, as close to there as 60' will take me.

The double numbers for the grid confuse me. I mean't to move to within a five foot step of the troll on last round, but whatever.

It's up to you. Davor had made a check prior and knows the regenerate. The coup de grace makes it less likely that the troll will get up anytime soon. I'll assume for now that's what you want. But you can also move to the other troll. Let me know.

Janku Tolliver wrote:

Sorry Janku, you dais just out of its reach, and they have ten foot reach... The squares between are refered to as .5. So a square could be D.5/4.5, indicating the one between D and E, and 4 and 5. It's the way the Old Mapmakerr works. Sorry about that. I'll move you within reach and you can make your attack as you described them above.

Both Ember and Davor slash at the rising troll, doing massive damage to it and shredding it to pieces. It appears it won’t get up for a bit.

Round 2 - Janku
Janku steps forward and brings his mornings tar into play, his magnificent armor glowing in the sun. On the second attack, it catches the troll squarely while the summoned weapon catches it as well.

Round 3 - Kalsgrim, Servayn, Davor and Kriger
Davor moves in to attack the other troll. The great blade once again bites deep and draws dark blood from the beast.

Kriger moves as quickly as he can to help the others with the last one standing.

Servayn steps towards the melee, not wanting to get caught in two groups when troll reinforcements arrive. Wishing to test a theory, he hisses an incantation. The spell has no effect on the troll.

Ember turns to the troll still standing, hoping to bring it low before his time on this plane is done. Once more, the eidolon finds openings, moving fast, left and right, shredding at the beast and bringing it down. The first bite tripped it, so the second bite hit as well! (all attacks have hit -23 hp)
The troll is unconscious at your feet.

Kalsgrim waits to see what else might be coming... Keep your arrow. You’ll now be in group 3 with Janku.

Round 3 - The Trolls
You watch in horror as the wounds on the two downed troll start to slowly mend. Then a great roar booms out of the opening and three trolls jump down the cliff in front of you, claws slashing high and low! AoO from Davor, Ember and Kriger.

Secret Rolls:

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Davor’s Will Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Both the troll and Davor seem unphased by the spell.

As more trolls land practically on top of them, Kriger is quick to react. His axe bites deep in the newcomer.

Ember yowls in surprise as more trolls seem to fall from the sky, and takes an attack at the one nearest him as it staggers to it's full height. Its bite snaps only air as the troll removes its leg quickly.

Davor also misses the falling troll.

Round 3 - Janku and Kalsgrim
Kalsgrim hesitates. It looks like they have the trolls well in hand...
When the others emerge, Kalsgrim acts quickly. Summoning Erastil's will to him, he singles one out and fires on him. His first arrow burns into the closest troll’s flesh.

Janku moves out of the trolls’ reach, then casts Sun Metal on his morningstar.
He then directs his spiritual weapon to attack a troll. (Janku, you had too many actions. Haste gives you another attack on a full attack. Also, Liberation power will not protect you from Glitterdust. I’ve adjusted your actions accordingly.)
The summoned weapon fails to connect, while the cleric’s weapon bursts in flames.

Round 4 - Servayn, Davor and Kriger
Covered by golden dust, Davor screams again "Gorum, guide my blade!" as he attacks the nearest troll. Both slashes cut through the troll, leaving it bloody and standing by a thread...

As Kriger slices a deep gash on the troll as it drops from on high, "HA! HA! I love cuttin' on you ugly beasts! You're just so... well... UGLY! HA! HA!" He taunts as he then swings again, a gleam in his eye from the sheer love of battle.
Hasted Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d12 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24
His first blow is sidesteped, but with magical celerity, he presses on and lands a terrible blow that drops the troll to the ground with a satisfying bone crunching noise.

Janku takes a 5'step to C.5/7, and uses his two hasted attacks to hit the two downed trolls (1+2) with his now flaming weapon.

1d8 + 3 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (1) = 5 MS Damage + Fire Damage

I'm not using this as a coup-de-grace, since I don't think this applies as a hasted action. Just normal attacks, hopefully to a lowered AC :-). Sorry about last round. Forgot it took a move action to refocus the Spiritual Weapon. The Liberation is a Swift Action, and I was using it more for Role Playing effect, as the heavily armored Cleric seemed to pass through the two downed Trolls like butter

1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 1d4 ⇒ 2 = 9

Ouch! Forgot Kriger didn't have haste!
Ok, quick update. Troll 4 was up, got Grease, stayed up and attacked Ember.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 171d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Damage w/PA: 1d12 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22

Kalsgrim will focus on the same troll that he has the smite on, assuming it is still up. Otherwise, please take four off each roll and apply to another.

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
1d8 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
1d8 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

*sigh* Kalsgrim continues to launch arrows into the wilderness, never to be seen again.

Male Half-orc Inquisitor/6th, AC 21, 55/55 hp

DM:

+4 BAB, +4 Str, +1 enhancement, +1 bless, -1 PA = +9

must be an error with herolab because it claims to be +8. Hate the fact it seems to have some errors at times. Will have to doublecheck more often.

Davor:
Inquisitors are 3/4 BAB, so +3 BAB at level 4. Also, your damage should be 2d6, +6 Str, +3 PA, +2 Weapon of Awe = 2d6+11, no?

Round 4 - Janku and Kalsgrim
Janku takes a step and uses his two hasted attacks to hit the two downed trolls with his now flaming weapon. The fire burns through their skin and they lay still, obviously dead and staying that way.

Kalsgrim continues to launch arrows into the wilderness, never to be seen again. You take count of all those arrows?

Round 5 - Servayn, Davor and Kriger
Davor slashe through the troll standing near and drops it with one nasty slice across the throat

Ember explodes in a clump of sparks and ashes that wink out and disappear before they reach the ground, the troll's last swipe having severed his connection to this plane. Servayn smiles ruefully, and attempts to call forth a flight of celestial eagles to strike down the remaining troll. "At last, some help that doesn't sass back." he mutters.

A lone eagle appears and attacks the troll, slashing and biting with great success at its head.

As the troll in front of him goes down in a heap, Kriger takes a step and swings at the one threatening Servayn, but his swing is short.

Round 5 - The Trolls
A terrible dual roar erupts from the tunnel above, like an undulating wave of coarse dissonance, and a terrible figure comes through, jumping down as the others and landing with a deep crashing sound on the ground below. This one is quite different from the others, for it bears a second head. They roar in unison: ”Hvem tør besvære søvn Nagrundi!”

Giant:
”Who dares trouble the sleep of Nagrundi!”

It swipes with a claw at Davor.

Secret Rolls:

N vs D: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 221d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
N vs J: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 211d6 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
7d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 5, 6, 2, 2) = 25

The claw slashes through Davor, causing great pain (-10 hp) and continues towards Janku, but misses the cleric by a hair.

At the same time, one of the trolls on the floor (Troll 5) rises back on its feet, ready to attack.

AoO vs Troll 5 or Troll N from Davor.

Secret Rolls (Troll 5 if it still stands after the possible AoO):

5 vs D: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 181d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Davor, I’ll let you know about this attack after you decide and resume your AoO.

Finally, coming out of the tunnel comes a troll clad in fearsome armor, covered with skulls and dried blood, with a nasty looking morningstar in hand. Evil resolve can be seen through its eyes. It grabs something around its neck and throws it behind Davor and Janku. It explodes in a great fireball that engulfs them both in seering flames.

Secret Rolls:

8d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 5, 4, 1) = 25

25 hp damage to Janku and Davor. Reflex DC 14 for half.

The troll chieftain bursts out laughing: ”Ah! Ah! Ah! Dumme fjolser! Hargulka vil festmåltid på din lever i aften!”

Giant:
” Ah! Ah! Ah! Stupid fools! Hargulka will feast on your livers tonight! ”

The troll standing in front of Servayn and Kriger stays there and slashes at the ranger with both claws.

Secret Rolls:

3 vs Kr: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
3 vs Kr: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 181d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
1d6 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Both claw hit this time, and the troll simply tears at the ranger, rending his flesh between claws. (-23 hp to Kriger)

Group 3 (Janku and Kalsgrim) is up, then Group 1 again.

Seeing the new menaces emerge, Kal can no longer stand back and fight in Old Deadeye's tradition. Kalsgrim will double move toward the fighting. I'm not sure if going off the path is considered difficult terrain; if it is he'll stay on it. As he goes, he'll ready his longsword, shifting his longbow to his off hand.

Nine arrows, and I think one actually hit.

I think I should start taking linguistics to learn the languages so Davor can understand and scream at them. Will apply that damage after this post.

reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

AoO vs Troll 5: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 2) + 12 = 19

Need healing BADLY

Though Davor is bloodied and burnt, he continues to fight, attacking relentlessly at the nearest standing troll. Davor doesn't understand the troll, but instead speaks his own gutteral and primitive language.

Orc:

"Filthy Troll. Come down here and stop using magic. Fight like the real monster you are!"

attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3) + 12 = 19

Troll 5 is brought down by Davor's AoO.

Davor:
The way I read it, your attack should be +8; 2d6+11, no?

** spoiler omitted **

DM:

attack: +4 BAB, +4 Strength, +1 enhancement, +1 Bless, -1 PA = +9

damage: +6 strength (+ 50% for two-handed weapon), +1 Enhancement, +1 Weapon of Awe (+2 enhancement, but doesn't stack and instead superscedes), +3 PA (normally +2, but two handed as described in feat add +50%) = +12

(AC 18, hp 15 of 77) Summoner 9

to take effect *after* Janku goes, obviously :)

The area lit by glittering motes of conjured embers fades as they drift to the ground and wink out.

Servayn steps a pace to the south toFG/5.5 and places another grease spell beneath the troll currently standing on his dead companion.

grease on the four squares beneath troll N. DC 16 Ref or faw down, go boom.

The eagle attempts another flurry of attacks on troll 3.

Fly check, DC 15, to remain hovering 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

It fails to remain hovering and settles to the ground, getting only a single attack.

Celestial Eagle (augmented), full attack, +1 for bless, +2 for flank, +1 damage for smite evil
Bite attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

bite damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
