Anybody heard from Lucendar lately?

Looks like he posted in the other game he's playing in this morning. I know he's had the games he's DMing on hold due to starting a new job.

How long do we want to wait for him? I'm fine with waiting a bit as he's a great player, but I don't want to slow things up too much.

Male Gnome Fighter (Mobile), HP23/23, AC 20 (24), FF 18 (22), Touch 13, CMD 16, F +4, R +1, W +0, Init +3, Perception +3, AOO +6 (+4)

I think with the amount of time since he last posted, its safest to bot his actions until he re-surfaces in either discussion thread or gameplay.

Agreed. We need our rogue, but if we let the thread come to a stop awaiting Lucendar's return, we'll lose momentum and maybe other players.

Male Human Admixture Wizard1/Crossblooded Tatooed Sorcerer

I don't think he'd be offended.

Does anyone know how to change a character to a former player, rather than a current one in the Campaign info area?

I know AK does. Mark and Lucendar probably do too, as they GM several games here.

Sorry to be a bother. :)

If you edit the campaign (from the Campaign Info page) you'll get a set of checkboxes to do exactly as you desire GM Idyll. Just uncheck the player that you want to drop out.

Taldor

Male

Yup. Is Lucendar dropping out?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

No, I'm booting Joana from the game from being uncooperative.

Just kidding. She just had an alias error.

I'll give Lucendar the week to check in. Then we'll find a replacement, I guess. It makes me sad.

Male Gnome Fighter (Mobile), HP23/23, AC 20 (24), FF 18 (22), Touch 13, CMD 16, F +4, R +1, W +0, Init +3, Perception +3, AOO +6 (+4)

To clarify, marked that as a favourite for your joke, realised it could be misread lol.

Lucendar posted on monday to a variety of games saying he was around but that message didn't make it to this one (actually, on closer inspection he only informed the games he DM's- probably swamped for time). That was only 3 days ago so suspect he'll be back :)

The dream of many a GM, I'm sure. ;)

Yeah, posted in the gameplay thread under the wrong name, and it bugged me not to have Lilley at the top of my alias list. Thanks!

Lol! FINALLY! Man she's nothing but trouble. ;)

Male Human Ranger 1

Where are we up to with xp?

I have 400. Don't know if I missed anything along the way.

EDIT: 200 from skeletons, 25 from emasculated cockroach swarm, 100 from spiders, 75 from darkmantle or whatever that first thing was. So, yeah, 400.

Male Gnome Fighter (Mobile), HP23/23, AC 20 (24), FF 18 (22), Touch 13, CMD 16, F +4, R +1, W +0, Init +3, Perception +3, AOO +6 (+4)

Bastarger got XP for being awesome and actually interacting with the dungeon. DM said I levelled up, just not had time to make the changes to my charsheet yet.

I don't remember it that way... I think you were actually given an XP defecit for defying your peers.

Male Gnome Fighter (Mobile), HP23/23, AC 20 (24), FF 18 (22), Touch 13, CMD 16, F +4, R +1, W +0, Init +3, Perception +3, AOO +6 (+4)

Doh! But i'm an anti-conformist...

Bastarger Frinthelrokil wrote:

Psssh. Amateur. I'll show you how to be uncooperative. ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

THAT'S true. Heck, Idyll's already kicked her out and she still won't go away! That's uncooperative if I've ever seen it. :)

Male Human Admixture Wizard1/Crossblooded Tatooed Sorcerer

400 it is

I think it might be time to replace Luce. Is everyone ok with this, or would you prefer to wait a bit longer?

To avoid any potential awkwardness, you may PM me with your vote.

I'm guessing Lucendar has been overloaded at his new job.

I would be happy to truck on with just the five for now - the only thing missing though is the trap detection portion.

Taldor

Male

Anyone can detect traps. Trapfinding just allows the disarm of them.

Male Human Admixture Wizard1/Crossblooded Tatooed Sorcerer

Actually I don't mind discussing it actually.
I vote replace only cause 6 gives us more options.

A potential replacement is nice and speaking from being in 10 pbp's I find it's better to handpick applicants from the others players buddies rather than open forum because a player can 'vouch' for the applicants roleplaying chops and posting habits.

This game has slowed down considerably while we waited. The new applicant should be a proven frequent poster to help us kick the pace along.

Currently we have:
Oracle
Inquisitor
Cleric so divine casting is well and truly covered.

Me being a (future) uber blaster Mage

Bastarger covering melee.

So IF we go with another player I propose the group pm a buddy (who is known to post frequently) to submit a char but somehow focused to cover an area we lack in. How they cover it is up to them.

I would suggest a char with an Archery Focus. Trapfinding would be good but not neccessary.

I think, for now, we'll roll with five players and add another after you leave the Ossuary. I would prefer to add that sixth person via Kenji's method - if we can avoid opening up the recruitment thread, it's all the better. So be thinking of who you'd like to invite to play our skill monkey.

We'll get the game moving again now that we've (ok, I've) decided what to do.

Thanks for your patience everyone!

To be honest, Lilley should always be in the second rank when possible. Polearm + short guy at the front= win.

Wouldn't they still have +4 to AC for cover? Unlike D&D Next, I don't believe Pathfinder discriminates based on the relative size of soft cover.

Taldor

Male

Theres some size discrimination with regards to a large creature not getting cover from a medium sized creature, I doubt its expressly written down anywhere but i'd imagine the same applied for a small to medium. 1 size difference.

Without getting too sappy, just let me say that I'm loving this game with you guys. I hope that you all stick around once this nasty business in the Ossuary is complete.

As long as there is masonry that needs be delivered it's comeuppance then I shall stand firm!

Besides - all the fun of Kaer Maga is waiting - there's a reason I took Giant as a language :)

GM Idyll wrote:
Good catches, both you. I didn't actually realize that about the disarm roll - that sucks. Sorry your peers are such goody-two-shoes, Stirgen.

Kinda works out for your NPC too, though. Normally, drinking a potion provokes an AoO which Stirgen can't take with his axe out of his hand. (Although it's entirely possible alchemists, if that's what he is, don't provoke, either as a class feature or due to a feat; I admit to not being at all familiar with most of the beyond-Core classes).

Lol! Man I know the feeling, my friend.

No worries on the slow posting, Kenji. Congrats on the house sale!

You got Lilley's damage on the zombie, right, GM? I ask only because you specifically noted Rajah's and Rhen's but didn't mention Lilley's.

Stirgen Harg wrote:
Stirgen sets his jaw and attempts to gird his defenses as much as reasonable before he crouches to retrieve his greataxe from where it lies cold and lonely upon the floor.

Aw, it wasn't totally alone. Lilley's glaive was down there with it. ;D

Whenever I play fighters, you can usually expect a long trail of various weapons to be dropped in long encounters.

I was so excited about drinking that Enlarge potion, that I skipped over it. My apologies.

My apologies in general - this has been a sloppily GM'ed game. I appreciate all of your patience and keeping me and each other honest. Seriously.

No problem. It's just pretty decent damage for 1st level, and most of my PCs don't roll this well; I'd hate it to get overlooked. ;)

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Nahhhh, I don't think so. I think you're doing well. I like this game. Solid GM'ing and some good rp'ers. I'll take that all day. Trust me. :)

And don't worry, between Joana and AK, they'll keep you on your toes. If you can handle those two, you can handle anything. ;)

Taldor

We even have MSN contact most days so we can conspire and complain about the mistakes you've made ;).

I knew it.

There are going to be so many weapon-resistant zombies raining down on you now...You better hope Rajah has unlimited channels.

Not sold yet :(

We have 3 acres and moved out to brothers while we clean up for open houses.

Hope that landed :) - I do like Greataxe crits when they come off.

Well holy crap. I guess you guys ARE eager to get out of the Ossuary...

The really amazing thing is that two of those 3 d12s were awful. Just think if he'd maxed out....

Stirgen doesn't know that explicitly yet :P

Nor does she. Except for when she was freaked out over the rest of the party getting reversed, she's been in combat when her curse kicks in, and I figure when you're full of adrenaline, trying to kill something before it can kill you, you don't pay much attention to any random utterances in the area or take the time to reflect on what language people might be speaking. Plus, the inhabitants of Kaer Maga speak all kinds of languages she, being uneducated in anything but Common, doesn't know, so it ought to be a common occurrence for her to hear people carrying on conversations she doesn't understand without assuming there's anything weird going on with her own language-processing centers. :)

Profile not in use

Aye... I will admit that my excuse was partially driven by the fact I was tired and saw that Lilley was closest and therefore best to ask for advice and completely overlooked any other language driven considerations... but that's sleep deprivation for you :P

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Are you sure Rhen's not dead? You know, he might be dead. :)
Do I really have to heal him? :P

Seriously, how we gonna roll with this? I hate for you to have to keep runnin' him. That's just more DM work which is tedious when it comes to running another PC. At least NPC's(for the most part) are only temporary, not sure how you feel about runnin' him the whole way through but I sure as heck wouldn't want to. If you don't mind it then no big deal. But if you do, I'd hate for you to have to keep chugging along with it. That's no fun for you.
