Stirgen faces down the corridor and puts his right hand out to the side "Shall we turn to the left again"
Ironically, since he's walking out of a door on the opposite side of the corridor than he walked in, his "right" actually is our original 'left.' Although when he gets to the end of the hallway, he'd want to turn right and call it left.
Geez...you mirror one group of adventurers and they get so paranoid.
Bastarger, your character sheet looks good, I think. I"m not really sure what has changed from before, though, to be honest. One thing: do you still have Talk with Animals? I thought one of your racial traits replaced that.
Net: A net is used to entangle enemies. When you throw a net, you make a ranged touch attack against your target. A net's maximum range is 10 feet.
I never post answers to rules questions unless I can quote directly from the text, because otherwise I'm never sure I'm right. This time, even though it was a direct quote, I still wasn't right. :P

Male Human Admixture Wizard1/Crossblooded Tatooed Sorcerer
@DM I'm up. Do you consider the grease spell flammable? If so I'd cast it in the entry in front of tje swarm and have someone light it with a torch. Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

Nah, I don't have any area blasts yet as was trying to be creative. While Kenji prefers blasts there are no really awesome ones until Fireball. Burning Hands sucks for damage so I took ear piercing scream.
You'll find guys Kenji is really strong for evocation damage, but being concerned about allies means that I'll try to stick with blasts that are selective. Burning Arc will be my go to, once I have 2nd level spells.
I think having Grease be flammable makes sense - I like the idea of synergy with spells and equipment. Unfortunately, that specific example drastically overpowers a level-one spell.
I swear people never used to ask if grease was flammable until Dragon Age came out, or is it just me?
Fairly certain I remember grease being used as an accelerant as far back as 2e. Another questionable tactic that was accepted in the group I was playing with at the time was to blind the enemy by casting light "on his eyes." I thought that was nonsensical even at the time, but the DM always let it work.
I encountered an old school player trying to use Light to blind a fellow PC in 3.5 when I first came to university 4/5 years ago and the old school DM loved it then too...
Just a quick head's up - I'm launching another Kaer Maga game. It will start identically to this one, so as much as I love all of you (and I do), please refrain from applying for it, too. I know this will be difficult as you likely can't get enough my l33t GMing skillz, but do your best.
Also, Lucendar, sorry for killing the SS game. Jindariel was a great character.
I have to say, though, it would be cool if, in addition to being reversed, everyone had an Evilverse goatee and a chest-baring uniform with a sash, in homage to mirror universes everywhere. :D
What... are you TALKING about?!?! Evilverse goatee?? Chest-baring uniform?? Mirror universes?? What the...?!?! :)
Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness
Ah. I see. I think I vaguely remember that episode. It's been too long though.
Per the swarm: In another pbp I'm in, we were 5th level and we have no area of affect spellcaster. We came across this swarm and we could do nothing but run and wait 'til they dispersed.
You have an area of effect spellcaster(who can actually cast damaging area of effect spells) then you win; if you don't... you lose.
It's funny how the most smallest of creatures in the monster manual can be the worst to come up against. Unbelievable.
There needs to be some type of something that can affect swarms. Something similar to the Scarab of Golembane magic item.
You know, you would think bludgeoning weapons would have an affect. You'd think a big club, or something to that nature, would be able to smash a whole bunch at once.
"Shriveled child" is a good one, too. I was looking for something other than size in the description to delineate between gnomes and halflings; halflings are certainly more "stunted" than "shriveled." I remembered from when I was running Second Darkness that Golarion drow only have two words for the non-drow races: one for the slave-races they employ in their cities and another for everything else that literally translates as "those not yet enslaved." I didn't remember if orcs eat sentient beings in Golarion, or I could have used "appetizer" (voorgereg). ;)
I think the only thing any of you are proficient with are the daggers? Ah wait, Battle Oracle! Lilley, get that armour on; your also the only one who can use that Bastard Sword without penalty, wouldn't be a bad weapon for when things get inside your reach.
She's pretty awesome and the banded mail is good, but I don't know how she could use the bastard sword. It's exotic, not martial. And that's what her bite is for. ;)
Bastarger is able to determine that the armor is a suit of extremely high-quality banded mail. As he is admiring the armor, he notices an exotic bastard sword - also of extremely high quality - and two curved daggers lying on the floor nearby.
Does "high quality" mean masterwork, for the purposes of using the correct attack bonus if Lilley ends up wielding the sword? Also, are the curved daggers simple weapons with a fancy description or some specific type of exotic dagger?
Oops. It appears that my intentions did not align with my typings. The armor can be worn. The chain attached to its neck and chest can be removed. It is a suit of Masterwork Banded Armor and the sword is a Masterwork Bastard Sword. The two daggers are simply curved - not masterfully, though.
I can just see us carrying around a wand of exactly what spell we need while we TPK. It's likely to be a divine wand, due to where we found it, so I'd suggest Stirgen could just try to activate it blindly -- until we end up clwing the enemy or cause fearing a PC.
