Use scroll of cure light wounds on Eadric.
Cure Light Wounds 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

(Male Human Paladin 3 of Cayden Cailean)

Surrender or fight! Either way, get on with it!

Current Status:
HP: 15 of 36
AC: 22
Active effects:
Shield of Faith (+2)

Obi stands just to the left of Eadric, ready to throw his fiery weight around.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Auchs
"Wha means yous?"

Dovan still says nothing and grins at you.

(Male Human Paladin 3 of Cayden Cailean)

Eadric has had enough of their stalling, I shall allow my blade to do my talking from here on out... trial by combat! he says as he swings his sword with all his strength at Dovan...standard action attack w/longsword +power attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 - 1 = 22 damage +power attack: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5 ...opening a large gash open across his chest.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Dovan

Rapier 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Precise strike 1d6 ⇒ 3

Auchs
"Yous not nice!"
Club attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Damage 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Precise strike 1d6 ⇒ 3

(Female Human Witch 2 / Ranger 1)

"Auchs what are you doing!"

Auchs
"Playin outlaws."

"They are not playing!"

Auchs
"They said jus a games."

"They trick you and made you do bad things."

(Male Human Paladin 3 of Cayden Cailean)

Precise strike? Where would you get the idea that Eadric is flanked? No way. No how. Not even without considering that Obi is standing on one side of Eadric and Torod the other.

And I'm not even going to comment on Imira's sudden appearance... other than to say that her apparent rapport with the bandit's could lead Eadric to believe that she is fact a bandit spy...

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Way-back machine.....

Spoiler:

As the staglord falls the remaining bandits back away yet still hold their weapons....

Dovan Grabs the arm of Auchs Who looks extremely confused at the moment.....

Dovan
speaks "Hold your hand perchance Auchs an I might leave now the staglord is no more? We can make recompense with information."

I assumed you moved forward to be in range to attack.......alone....

I had to touch him to cast cure light wounds on him and Obi just said he was on Eadric's left.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Yes! You were all there....side by side...That is agreed upon.

and Dovan backed away (and took Auchs with him) out of melee range to talk......
They also gave up their attacks in the initiative order to do so.

and then Eadric launched an attack.....

Obi had readied an action to cast some fire based spell....

Torod had just finished casting a healing spell...
....which would have drawn AoO's had the bandits been in range!

Cheliax (No longer matters Drow Lich Epic level Wizard/Cleric of considerable ability)

This is where I would point out how maps and adherence to rules/actions/positioning/etc would be helpful. How far away is "backed away" in games terms? :P

There seems to be an inconsistency in the play style. Some things are governed by the rules, while most things are more free form in play style. Both are legitimate splay styles, but mixing the two leads to confusion, and in my case, frustration.

And then there is Imiria popping in from nowhere... verisimilitude is shattered whenever she is involved, at least for me...

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Legitimately in game terms I have had problems for example I had a charater "run after" a wagon yelling to someone to jump out.

Unknown to me the literal "run after" meant to the DM multiply my movement, then bringing me within 30 feet for an archers sneak attack....from the wagon.

When I in fact never intended to outpace the wagon.

The argument became "run" in game terms is base movement rate X 4
While "run after" meaning what...meaning hustle or walk
I also said that run to a wall in that would mean if I still had movement left over I would face-plant into the wall since I would still have movement left when I got there!

I also pointed out to the DM that he never gave an indication of the wagons speed so that I would even think I could catch up to a wagon (I thought that was a ridculous idea) I would need to know (from his post) the speed of the wagon to make my post using accurate game terms.....

One reason I prefer the free-form style.

Would you feel better when Garric shows up right after, since you guys did release an owlbear from the fort!

Guys, I'd like to get through this battle. Can we get the next round going. We can continue the discussion in the discussion thread.

(Male Human Paladin 3 of Cayden Cailean)

Auch's club catches Eadric in the shoulder with a mighty thud, almost causing him to drop his sword... but Eadric remains standing after the heavy blow.

Current Status:
HP: 7 of 36
AC: 22
Active effects:
Shield of Faith (+2)

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Auchs drops the club in horror

"They says magics toy club looks likes fight but no really hurtses peoples!"

Imiria uses the healing hex on Eadric restoring 10 hit points.

You are up!

Torod lunges at Auchs with his scimitar.

Scimitar:
to hit 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

(Male Human Paladin 3 of Cayden Cailean)

Eadric yells at Auchs, Yield and ask for mercy and it shall be granted! while at the same time swinging his sword with all his strength at Dovan... standard action attack w/longsword +power attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 1 = 17 damage +power attack: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5 ...slashing him across his thigh(?)

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Eadric gives Dovan a slash across the forearm.

Ellaria moves closer, draws her crossbow and fires it at Dovan.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8, Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Attack roll for the charmed bandit (did not add bonus): 1d20 ⇒ 16

ahem...
