A muffled harrumph comes from behind the dwarf's shield as his axe-haft turns in his grip, tapping his target harmlesly with the side of the axe. Crom barely gets past the defenses of the maniacal hobgoblin, scoring hits that bring him down. The amount of punishment the hobgoblin could take was simply amazing, but he is brought to the ground in a bloody heap.

The lone hobgoblin continues to fight, swinging a hefty shot at Crom that is hard but inaccurate.

Horster opens his eyes, blinks, and his eyes finally focus on the bearded Ozmund haunched by his side. Seeing a sole hobgoblin up, he reaches for his rapier to strike, aiming for the hobgoblin's groin.

Mit's stabs the hobgoblin deeply in the upper thigh and he falls to the ground bleeding. The last of the hobgoblins has fallen and the prisoners cheer again and look expectantly at the adventurers.

COMBAT OVER

Ozzy administers two healing potions, one to the unconscious cleric and one to the unconscious halfling. The halfling rises weakly to his feet, but Theorn is still down.

The group gets a closer look at the prisoners: A plump, balding middle-aged man, two well muscled men, a plain looking female, and two demihumans.

The demihumans are an orc with a tribal tattoo of a boar and an intimidating looking humanoid hunched and feral that would be about seven feet tall if erect.

The woman shudders: "Lots of evil creatures around. Get us out of here quickly before more come."

Horster peers into the shadowy cell, trying to identify the tallish humanoid...

Horster tells you the creature is a gnoll. There are no cells, just chains on the walls.

Both creatures seem to be unable to communicate in common.

The orc points to a falchion, makes swinging motions, and points to a dead hobgoblin.

After tending to the cleric, and realizing that the potion he administered does not seem to be bringing him back, Ozmund ask the rest of the party.
"Does anyone else have anything we might use to bring our cleric back into consciousness? I have unfortunately expended my 2 healing potions already."

He tries to make Theorn as comfortable as possible.

"Oh, and the orc is asking for a sword to help fight the goblins..."
