I think the DM has already said two were fine (in the game thread) but if you do the second you are without one of your spells as we reach the shrine. Your call. I can wait. Given the choice, I will take Shield as I can cast Mage Armor.

That is how the bandits were tactically played by when I first ran through this. A potentially lethal encounter if the armored folks aren't in front searching the blank stone wall. It made sense to continue as Tracy ran it for us. Although in Pathfinder now, I do not know if enemies are typically allowed to coupe de grace or attack helpless foes. But I have seen many players do it.
Anyway I am including the healing powers of the inner shrine to allow raise dead as it was done for us. So Lorcan can return at the shrine or, as was often done, create an appropriate character to join up. In this case it would have to be an elf.
The casualty rates have significantly dropped since almost two TPKs at the start.

OK. Well, what does the party think? We already have an arcane type. I could come back as an elf easy enough. Or Lorcan can come back and maybe someday prove his worth…
Locan can heal, at least a little bit. And is a good summoner and a good face. That said, I created Lorcan to role play, which does not seem the central point of this particular game.
Shall I create some more martial character?

I don't think there's anything wrong with Lorcan. This thread's dice-rolling program is just cruel.
The aforementioned TPKs could have gone the other way, but for a glut of abyssmal d20 rolls.
Change characters if you are inclined, but don't do so if you are questioning Lorcan's effectiveness. He's fine. The dice roller just hates us.

I like Lorcan too and second the others - he brings something that the rest of our party doesn't have... and Horster thinks it's nice having someone to talk to eye-to-eye for all it's worth :)

Thats nothing...when I was unconscious in the evil temple at the caves of chaos, I think it was close to 3 months before we escaped and I was woken up!! lol...but thanks for hanging in there...we will have you back up and casting in no time....now we just need to find the money....

I have levelled up Morgan with the exception of her feat.
I wanted the group's opinion on the +1 bastard sword. Morgan would only be able to use it as a two-handed weapon unless she takes the Exotic Weapon feat.
If the group wants her to use it, then I'll take the feat. If the group prefers to sell-off the sword, then I'll use the feat for something else.
I will not be upset if the group chooses the latter, but changing her style a little (going big sword) would be fun.
