The kobold tries to hide his hands as best he can, although this is quite difficult since they are tied. He whimpers like a whipped cur, "This one will run-run, yes he will! He will no come back no more!"
Zo and Rhade scout ahead, hardly making a sound as they enter the dark castle's entryway. They find themselves in a 20' wide by 15' deep room with an open door to the north and open archways into rooms to the east and west. This room looks like it is frequently traveled, with almost all the traffic moving between the exit and the door to the north. The room is otherwise bare with granite flagstones covering the floor. The plaster ceiling has numerous small holes in it showing the collapsed second floor above. The rooms to the east and west look to be slightly smaller than the entryway, but it is hard to make out any detail without a better light source.
There are no obvious creatures or traps to be seen.

Rhade nods to Zo towards the left as he heads to his right to sneak a look into the room there.

Rhade, as I mentioned above it's too dark to make out anything in any room beyond the entryway, as there is no light source other than the dim sunlight coming through the open front doors. Unless you have darkvision or a torch/lantern in hand (which I am assuming you don't, as that makes using Stealth generally impossible) I am afraid that you'll have to content yourself with the description in my previous post.

Sorry forgot about the bit about the ceiling being intact, guess will have to hold until the others move in with the light source so Rhade has a better chance of seeing what lurks over there
DM please feel free to post for me over the next couple of days if needed. A close friend of the family passed away yesterday and I will be posting sparaticly I think.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Thanks for letting us know.

You posted before we questioned the kobold that you had a torch ready, Rhade. Who's carrying it?
"Did you see which way the kobold went?" Zo whispers to Rhade, kneeling to retrieve her lantern from her pack and light it.

"Did you see which way the kobold went?" Zo whispers to Rhade, kneeling to retrieve her lantern from her pouch and light it.
"I think he fled further inside this place, but we need to make sure there's nothing being readied to cut us off from the entrance behind us," Rhade whispers back glancing towards the room on his right as he points directly ahead.

Zo nods in agreement, as the oil sputters to flame. Turning the lantern so that its beam is focussed into the room on the left, she leaves it on the floor, so her hands are free if she needs them. Hefting her rapier, she murmurs to Rhade, "Make sure nothing comes out at us from the dark while we're looking in the light." Then she carefully approaches the doorway and peers in.
The room to the left of the entrance which Zo is now looking into seems a bit smaller. Approximately 15' by 15', it is quite musty and contains a trio of ancient wooden chairs and a pair of small tables. A cold fireplace sits in the center of the north wall near a ragged hole in the ceiling, through which a bit of dim sunlight can be seen. The only exit seems to be an archway in the opposite (western) wall, leading into a similarly sized room filled with boxes and crates of various sizes.
At first glance, both rooms seem to be empty of inhabitants.
Meghdad has his scimitar out and at the ready. As they groups slips into the room he will glance around seeking any sources of magical danger saying, "Deprehensio veneficus."

So if I declare Rhade is watching out for enemies in hiding then the following Perception check based on sight would apply?
Roll 1d20+9:17+9 for a Total of 26
Rhade pays attention expecting there to be some kind of ambush ahead whether it be the cliche of a spider hidden up the chimney of the fireplace or something else like the kobold who fled before them.

Zo slips to the arch in the western wall and looks into the room full of boxes and crates, looking for both hidden creatures and any other doorways.
Perception (1d20+3=4) Ha! If that doorway's not hiding too well, she might see it with that roll.
Gregori looks about him, his senses attuned to the negative vibrations of evil, but is not disturbed by anything.
Rhade keeps a close watch out while Zo walks over to the far archway to catch a glimpse of the room beyond. It turns out to have numerous crates and boxes lying about. A thick layer of dust covers everything. Some of the larger crates have a symbol of a skull with a coin in its mouth burned into them. (Knowledge: Local check to identify) The room has only one visible exit to the north, which seems to lead to a storage closet of some kind. This room also seems to be the south-western corner room of Castle Mistamere.
Father Meghdad is about to cease concentration on the cantrip he has cast, when he detects the presence of a faint magical aura in the room Zo is currently looking into, coming from the direction of the crates.
Catching the glimpse of magic coming from the room, Cordelia makes her way in to find the source, glancing at the exit north, but trusting that Zo is watching it closely.
Find where the glow is coming from using her own Detect Magic and get to it.

The magic seems to be coming from the crates and boxes in the south-western room. A Knowledge (Arcana) check will let you identify the school.

Assuming that Zo's lantern is still sitting in the entryway where she put it to illuminate the room, and further assuming that its light is getting pretty useless by the time it makes it past all the people and furniture and crates and such...
"Iggie? Father? Anyone? Can you make this glow for a while?" Zo asks, holding out a coin on her outstretched palm as she eyes the gloomy storage closet to the north.

"Alas, the illusory arts and I have never seen eye to eye. I prefer my value to be plain to see. I cannot help you."
Meghdad takes Zo's coin and mutters his holy incantation, "Luminarium." It begins to glow with a soft light and he returns it saying, "There you go, it should light your way for a while." He then shuts his eyes trying to scrutinize the shades and hues within the magical aura in an attempt to understand the nature of its power, alas the past hour has been trying and he can not.
Cordelia goes over to the crates and examines the aura for a moment, before it is dimmed by Zo's now illuminated coin.
She starts to pull on the crates to see if she can get to the glow.

"Thank you, Father." Holding the glowing coin in one hand, Zo examines the doorway, looking for any signs the entry might be trapped.
Zo:There is only an archway to the storage closet to the north.
Despite careful attention to the nature of the magical field in effect in this storage room, neither the Father nor Cordelia can determine its nature (Knowledge checks failed). However when the sorceress attempts to move one of the crates, a voice calls out in an authoritative tone "Who is there?"
Cordelia takes a wary step back, raising her empty hand and drawing her Scimitar with the other. She says, "I am Cordelia Crichton. And who might you be?"

Cordelia can barely keep the sneer from her voice as she replies, "no, we are here to see him, can you point us in his direction?" She looks around the room. "Where are you?"
Cordelia looks indignant at being dismissed such. "Excuse me, but what difference does it make if Bargle is with us or not? Whatever it is you want I'm sure we can help..."

"No offence Father but do any of you know the relevance of that symbol on those crates?" Rhade asks as his own knowledge fails to reveal what the symbol means but curious enough to think it important.
"Come out friend, I am sure we can figure out what ever it is you need. Bargle will be on his way soon I am sure, until then let us help." Meghdad speaks calmly to the room trying to coax the owner of the voice out of the closet, a look of disgust crossing his face when he utters Bargle's name. He then listens intently to the response trying to determin if the speaker will be friend or foe.
Your questions and demands ring out and echo against the dank walls of the crumbling castle. No answer is heard and the voice does not speak again. While it was speaking, it was impossible to pinpoint a location. To Father Meghdad it seemed to be coming from just behind him, to Zo it was from inside one of the boxes. Everyone in the room had a different impression.
