I was planning to still wait until after the gimpy adventurers in case they cast something useful.

Just wanted to confirm you didn't want to ready or anything. Cuetzpalli does have a crossbow.

Sure, I'll ready.

Tanith holds one of his tiny knives at the ready in case some part of the undead horde gets within range.

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Cuetzpalli Shot: 1d20 + 14 - 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 - 14 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Cuetzpalli sinks another arrow into the enemy.

Zolin continues firing as Merca completes her spell. A skeletal tiger claws its way out of the earth forty-five feet away and begins rushing for the clearing.

Tiger is now 125 feet from you, 375 feet from the clearing.

Zolin Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 91d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 101d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5
Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23

Together, Zolin and Cuetzpalli sink enough bolts and arrows into another spawn to drop it.

The goblin readies its sword.

Round 1: Just checking to make sure Farrukh doesn't want to ready or do anything.

In round 1, I fired a hail of arrows. We're heading into round 2 now, right?

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Effectively. It's Round 1, but you got an extra round of actions before combat started. Which was probably unnecessary, but hell, it's already done with.

Ahhhh.

Farrukh will plink some shots at some spawn, knowing his arrows will just bounce off the tiger.

1d20 + 19 - 8 ⇒ (18) + 19 - 8 = 29

1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Farrukh's arrows each land, one after the other, to neatly skewer the vampire spawn's forehead. It dissolves into mist instantly.

Initiative Order: Astraden/Carina/Cuetzpalli/Eben - Other Adventurers - Farrukh - Every Single Badguy Wow

Round 1: Every Single Bad Guy

"To cover, my children!" hisses the hullathoin. "Down below, where their coward needles cannot prick you."

The vampire spawn all rush down into the tepid river, as does the deathweb. The Kyuss spawn, however, lope off into the bushes, away from the party. The shadows and banshee stay under cover, but do not outright retreat. Despite the deaths of five of their number, none of them seem too concerned.

The vampires are now underneath the structure and have total cover. The spawns of Kyuss are still visible, but just moved sixty feet further away from you. The rest have not moved.

Round 2: Tanith, Carina, Cuetzpalli, Astraden and Eben are up. Also Farrukh, effectively.

Eben sighs. "Why can't they just do the stupid thing and charge us?" Instead, he charges them.

Move 60 feet towards the mass of undead, (which I think puts me 2 range increments out), activate my bow of songs as a swift action, and take a single (normal arrow) shot at the nearest crouchy undead.

Double move 120' towards the enemy.

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

By "in range", Carina, do you mean within one range increment?

Eben looses a shot, but it pings off the crouching undead's shoulder. The rest of the party advances.

Round 2: Other Adventurers

Zolin rushes after the party and looses a single arrow at the crouched undead. The tiger reaches the end of the clearing. The goblin, Estavlin and Merca follow the rest of the group.

Zolin Longbow: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 13 - 4 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24

The arrow seems to only sink partway before being rejected, but it still clearly leaves a mark.

Farrukh arcs some shots at the Hullathoin.

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

All three of Farrukh's arrows bounce uselessly off of the creature's rocky, pustule-covered hide.

Round 2: Undead Enemies

With a sound like two sheets of sandpaper being ripped across each others' surfaces, the third witchfire appears and looses a bolt of green flame at Merca. Carina and Eben both loose volleys, but their shots cannot overcome the witchfire's deflective wards.

Bolt: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 13 + 2 = 22
Damage: 8d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 5, 4, 4, 5, 4) = 32 Plus half, so 48 total damage.

Merca shrieks in pain as the flames engulf her. The party members hear the roar of a bonfire and distant inhuman screams as the witchflame around her flares up, momentarily obscuring her entirely from view.

Cuauhtémoc seems to pull itself upright. It fixes the skeleton with a strange look of pity. "Serve," it hisses.

"Hey!" Merca snaps, reemerging from the flames. Her eyes glow green, pits against the fire, as she appears to struggle against something.

Opposed Charismas: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 211d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

Merca lets out a painted scream, clutching her head in both hands. The tiger goes rigid, then turns to face the adventurers. Its eyes are now filled with a dull red light, same as the other undead serving Cuauhtémoc.

"Kill them all!" the hullathoin roars. The shadows, banshee and deathweb rush forward, letting out hisses and wails.

Round 3: Tanith, Carina, Cuetzpalli, Astraden and Eben are up!

"Oh, that's not good..." Eben gripes as Merca's pet tiger skeleton becomes Cuauhtémoc's newest minion. "On the other hand, at least she's a bit closer..." he says, brightening as he takes aim at the witchfire with a ghost salty bunch of arrows.

Not sure if the witchfire has cover as well at this range, so subtract that from my rolls as needed.

If and only if she doesn't get cover, I'll also throw in a rapid shot this round, subtracting 2 from each of the prior shots and adding this:

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Cuetzpalli actually only needs to move 60'—she's closer to you than she is to the clearing.

Eben lodges two arrows in the witchfire's chest. The salt and ectoplasm causes them to disintegrate instantly, but they've definitely left a mark—jagged dark holes are appearing in the ghost's form. Cuetzpalli makes the hole just a little bit bigger as he slices into her wispy shape, cutting an equally brutal swath of darkness even though her incorporeal form is clearly resistant.

Astraden runs nearby and hurls the dagger, but it just flies through one of Eben's holes without effect. It is joined a moment later by Carina's bolt.

Round 3: Merca/Zolin/Goblin/Estavlin

Estavlin gives his scimitar an odd flick, causing it to become surrounded by dark clouds of mist, with streaks of neon green crackling through on occasion. He rushes forward and slashes at the witchfire.

Scimitar: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 9 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 9 + (1, 5) + (5) = 22 11 damage.

Merca dispels the tiger with a sigh as it begins to sprint towards Cuetzpalli. "This is why we don't make cool things."

Zolin pauses to apply ghost salt to ten of his arrows as he moves ahead, stopping next to Astraden.

The goblin lets out a gleeful shriek and sprints past the others.

Farrukh slices into the witchfire, but he, too, struggles to hurt the near-ethereal menace.

Round 3: Monsters

The witchfire takes a swing at 1d5 ⇒ 4 Estavlin.

Witchflame: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Hit: 8d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1, 3, 2, 1, 2, 2) = 19

Estavlin screams as the flames surround him.

Touch Attacks: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

The goblin performs a somersault, giggling as both wrathful wraiths miss the writhing raging rocker.

The rest of the undead continue skittering and sprinting towards the group. The hullathoin looks on, seeming fascinated now.

She turns and starts moving, reloading her crossbow as she goes.

If I understand the map correctly, Tanith's 60 feet from the group fighting the witchfires.

Tanith takes up position behind his brother in Kord and chops at the witchy flames with his poleaxe.

Hack (hope, haste, favor, cover): 1d20 + 16 - 3 + 2 + 1 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 16 - 3 + 2 + 1 + 3 - 4 = 17
Damage (smite): 1d10 + 10 + 9 + 5 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 9 + 5 + 2 + 3 = 31

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Damn it, guys, if you pull this entire combat into the tiny representation boxes...

Astaden rushes up and manages to stab the specter! A tiny blot of shadow leaks out of the creature.

Tanith charges up and hacks downward, but the nimble spirit easily evades his swing.

Cuetzpalli is up!

Cuetzpalli continues to attack the witchfire, hoping to destroy it.

AC is 23 this round.

This time, Cuetzpalli is able to hack the spirit apart completely. The last witchfire glitches away completely.

Round 4: Merca/Estavlin/Goblin/Zolin

The goblin giggles as the spirits both attack it. It swings wildly at the creatures as it begins to scream out a beautiful goblin song.

Greatsword @Spectre: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 181d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 251d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 151d10 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d10 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Zolin takes aim at the spectre as he moves up.

Zolin Longbow: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28 Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20

Estavlin sheathes his sword. Spectral thorny vines climb out of his arm, loosing at the specter in turn.

Magic Missile: 4d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 3) + 4 = 18

The rapier, arrows, sword and missiles have taken a vicious toll. The last vine missile rakes a single thorn across the spectre's spectral spectator orb eyeball. The ghostly foe is torn from reality with a hoarse shriek.

Merca cracks her knuckles, then her back. Her form begins to shake, then tremble, then warp and bend as though the skin suddenly doesn't fit her—then, with a gut-wrenching ripping sound, the half-rotted skeleton of some lean canine beast claws its way from her body. She begins to bound forward.

Round 4: Farrukh is up!

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

Farrukh?

Ah, crap. Thought I'd posted. I'll post when I get home, but if you wanna speed things up I'd just be attacking the nearest enemy anyway.

HP: 123/125| AC: 34 (38) FF: 32 (36) Touch: 16 (20) CMD: 29 (33)| Init: +5|Fort +14, Ref +12, Will +12| Action Points 2/11| Perception +21 (+23 Underground, +25 vs traps)|Aura: +3 AC/Will, 30 ft.|Current Stance: Riven Hourglass|20% miss vs magic

And Farrukh does so, moving 10 feet to one of the shadowy things and thwacking.

Bash: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (9) + 21 = 30
Damage: 1d20 + 20 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 20 + (1) = 22

The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

It's actually about 60 feet from you, but that's still barely within your reach. I've caved and edited the map—it's now extremely big, but it shows where everyone is.

Farrukh runs forward and badly injures the shadow, but isn't able to fully destroy it.

Round 4: Hullathoin and Co

The undead continue to advance, and the shadows each swing at the goblin.
Shadow Swipe: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 = 211d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 5 Strength damage.

The goblin shudders as its strength fails under the shadow's assault. The greatsword suddenly looks much heavier in its hands.

Suddenly, the trio feel a coldness enter their hearts. An artificial dread they all know very well. Emerging from the brush, two spawns of Kyuss lock gazes with 1d3 ⇒ 3 Farrukh. One reaches into its eye socket; the other, its ribcage, and both hurl handfuls of worms at the slayer.

Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 181d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 18 Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 211d100 ⇒ 44

Farrukh dodges swiftly. Feeling something brush past his hair, he checks—he doesn't feel anything there. It seems he dodged successfully.

Astraden and Farrukh, make a Will save, DC 14. Don't forget your various bonuses against fear, particularly Astraden's shield and the raging song's +2. If you fail, you are Panicked.

Goblin Save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

The deathweb advances on Tanith.

Bite: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 15 - 2 = 16

Tanith's hardened muscles cause one of the deathweb's great mandibles to crack slightly as it bits down on his shoulder. The spider pulls back, hissing.

Down in the hullathoin's hole, Cuauhtémoc watches the battle. "Strong..." he rumbles, almost to himself. "They will serve me well once they have experienced my Sisters."

Round 6: Carina, Tanith, Astraden, Eben and Cuetzpalli are up!

Will (owl's wisdom, rallying shield): 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 11 + 1 + 4 = 31

Astraden steps forward half a pace and taps her holy symbol with the hilt of her rapier. "You know, I wonder if there're people who just plain can't be scared by Kyuss zombies," she muses as a blast of laughter (in time with the goblin's song) shreds the undead around them. "Like, there's people who aren't afraid of wolves, right? Quite a few of 'em."

Channel positive energy (harming): 7d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 3, 3, 5, 4) = 32 DC 21 Will for half.

She rejuvenates her double, who's looking a little frayed around the edges and desaturated.

Round 6: Five-foot step (no action), channel positive energy (standard action), and cast copycat defensively (move action). The Gateway Grove, The Isle of Last Resort

The goblin slips in some Goblinoid lyrics about not being afraid of zombies.

Will Saves: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 81d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 131d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

The shadows are purged from reality as light floods through them, and one of the spawn explodes in a shower of squirming worms. The other endures, hissing something in an ancient tongue.

Flan:
"Damn your young gods. They will not save you within the Spire."

Just as a reminder, since I forgot to include it before: Raging Song grants a +2 to Will saves, +2 Str/Con, -1 AC.

What's their fear aura again? 60 feet? I think I'm good for the time being, but let me know if I need to make a save from where I am.

"Huru þu sculan healdan ætsittan in se hlifian!" he cries back to the spawn in Flan, working the ancient phrasing into his running litany of undead fearmongering.

Olf flan:
"Perhaps you should have stayed inside the spire, then!"
He punctuates the phrase with a single surprisingly easy shot at the mouthy spawn.

Move 60 feet forward, continue dirge of doom as a free action (I think the deathweb is the only thing close enough to be affected), activate arcane strike as a swift action, shoot the spawn south of Farrukh as a standard action, using a panache point & Dead Aim to target its touch AC.

I don't think there's actually a witchfire in front of me anymore? Going with that assumption...

If Tanith's deathweb ends up being dead, maybe go for that Kyuss zombie near us? Thiink you can reach it with a charge.
