Since Gark may or may not still have connection issues, I'll take up the banner for him. Here's what I've got. Am I missing any? Also, is there a fly or air walk to spare? Those have been extremely useful to avoid soft cover penalties over the last couple arena matches.

As he finishes his spell he raises his arms and begins cackling madly. A massive twenty foot high wall of roiling purple flame explodes out of the ground in a ring, trapping the enemies inside.

"Great rolling balls of fire! Aheh, literally, so-to-speak! Rodrigo's conjured up a huge curtain of flame around Auric's Warband, though luckily, we're placed high enough to still get a good view. The Leatherworks seem totally undamaged, but if you look closely, you can see their stitched-up forms melting together. Ew. And—THERE GOES THE LION! That is one hungry kitty—look at it go, ripping into that construct like it's nothing! It's fight-within-a-fight, sabertooth against golem, and it looks like the blast from the past is going to win by a landslide! And the lion has latched on with those long chompers! Erythnul's broken tooth, it's like a puma mated with a knife rack!"

You technically can't make this charge—even if Astraden weren't where she is, you'd have to go through the wall of fire to reach the closest space—but we'll let you retcon where the lion was, since Rodrigo probably would have noticed that.

Eben's eyes light up at seeing Khellek fly so close to the aerial limits, especially once the announcer confirms that he's just shy of the disqualification zone. He's doing the same thing Rodrigo did. He should know better, all the years he's been doing this... at least 'Rigo has the excuse it was our first match... Almost absentmindedly, his finger clicks on the button of his quickening rod and he vanishes from sight. Can I actually pull this off? That's crazy. But if I combine my arcane strike charm with a couple of the other tricks I've picked up, and that thing Arcane Auriga did to start off their fight against me... and I draw back on the string really hard... and I get real lucky... maybe...

As he thinks, he's already dashing forward, dropping the rod and pulling out his bow, his eyes fixed on Khellek's position in the sky, never leaving that exact spot. Okay, remember where he's at, fire right at that patch of sky, but.. He comes to a halt and closes his eyes, reaching back into his quiver and drawing a very special, faintly glowing arrow. "Find him..." he whispers, draws back so hard his bow creaks and his arm strains, and then... lets loose at Khellek.

Spending a panache point to active Dead Aim, so I'm targeting touch AC. And since I'm invisible, Khellek loses his Dex bonus as well, assuming he didn't cast see invisibility or something....

Shortbow+good hope+invisibility+haste+prayer: 1d20 + 14 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 24

If that falls short, I cast gallant inspiration to add to the roll. Gallant inspiration: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5. If he has a touch AC higher than 29, EBen curls up weeping on the arena floor.

For Eben MacTeague, time stands still for a moment as his arrow goes speeding towards the flying wizard, for once not seeking to do any harm but to simply... push him a few feet upwards.

Okay, so, depending on how KC decides this works: swift action to cast vanish on me. Move action to move 50 feet. (If the ranged bull rush requires a full round action, then Eben spends another AP to gain an extra move action this round.) Free action to drop the quicken rod, free action to draw my bow during movement. Close my eyes to negate the mirror images, use a seeking arrow to negate the miss chance due to firing blind. Free action to activate the Dead Aim deed. Either a standard or full round action to make the ranged 'bull rush' attempt into his square. And, if needed, an immediate action to cast gallant inspiration on my own shot. Oh, and as a side note, if it hits, he's outlined in a neon pink glow for the next round from the seeking limning arrow. :-)

Marking off four APs to start with; let me know if I need to mark off a 5th for the extra move and if I needed to cast gallant inspiration.

It's a check against his CMD as well, just like Farrukh's Shield Slam. You don't need Gallant Inspiration.

"What's this? MacTeague is closing his eyes, and he's getting out some sort of special arrow. Could he be—THE ARROW IS OFF! IT'S—" A gasp ripples through the crowd.

The gasp is a mixture of disappointment and stunned awe. Eben opens his eyes.

Khellek is spinning lightly in the air, an arrow neatly embedded halfway in his shoe. He's on his back currently, looking rather dazed.

After a moment, the announcer speaks again, his voice wavering but quickly gaining steam once again. "Khellek is out. I REPEAT, KHELLEK HAS FLOWN TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN AND MACTEAGUE HAS KNOCKED HIM SPINNING OUT OF BOUNDS WITH A SINGLE PERFECT SHOT!"

Between Astraden confusing the hell out of Auric and Tanith inflicting a brutal injury on a flesh golem, Carina feels ecstatic as she flies forward.

But the capper comes when Eben rings Khellek out with a well-placed arrow. She appears to have been infected with the announcer's enthusiasm. "Quite possibly the dumbest mage on the planet! Khellek just gave Eben an easy win! YOU FOOL!"

She throws a fire bomb at the golem nearly blown apart by Tanith's knee...

Astraden looks up at the slowly spinning Khellek with an expression of dawning ecstasy. "Eben, you're gonna want to go for cover, now. I think you just broke the game."

Carina's summation made me realize something: Confused creatures must always attack their attackers on their next turn. Khellek will be forced to attack Eben, thereby disqualifying his entire team.

"Everyone get real close to me! The spell after this is a doozy!" Astraden shouts, sheathing her rapier. She draws her hand in a circle around herself, jerks it downward, and expels a silvery cloud that sparks yellow when it reaches the edge of her violet aura. "Tinechor lye tuulo' gurtha 'ksh."

If everyone gets within 30' of each other, I can drop blessing of fervor next round.

"Khellek is straightening now. He's looking straight at MacTeague—small wonder; I'd be angry, too, considering what that bard just pulled. Well, anyways, Dantares—

"WHAT THE NINE HELLS?!"

Khellek's hands are a blur as he rapidly weaves two spells together and releases both straight at a single target: The lonely bard. The spells take the form of a large orange bead encircled by ghostly red salamanders. The salamanders streak into Eben's chest, ignoring all his defenses. The bead, on the other hand, explodes.

Magic Missile @Eben: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 2, 4) + 5 = 21

Astraden, Tanith, Eben and Carina, make Reflex saves versus sudden fireball. Astraden and Tanith gain a +2 bonus on this save from the Circle (this does not stack with other Resistance bonuses).

After Rolling:
If you rolled less than a 17, you take 10d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 2, 2, 2, 1, 3, 2, 4) + 14 = 42 damage. Otherwise, you halve this.

In the end, he's clearly a bit pounded by force bolts and a bit scorched, but still standing.

"Nobody likes a sore loser, Khellek!" He pauses, then, "But nobody likes you anyway, so I'm sure this is pretty much like every other moment of your life..."

What a finale...there we have Auric charging and hacking at Astraden Limhaare like a madman, which, currently, he is. In his frenzy, though, Limhaare is able to avoid his hacking and slashing."

To be fair, I don't think Auric's Warband should be DQ'd as a team because of Khellek's attacking me; he's under a compulsion and doesn't have a choice. There should definitely be a sub-clause in the rules for that.

Eben glares up at the hovering mage, his bow wavering back and forth between Khellek and the field, then sighs and re-prioritizes his goals. Golem's probably dead between Farrukh and Tanith; ulgurstasta is probably about to come up through the floor; can't let it kill Auric when it does. And for the second time in as many days, Eben finds himself conjuring an illusion in the arena. Next to the giant Auric, another Auric appears, at first overlapping his spot exactly and then gradually stepping out, and facing its opposite self. "I AM AURIC DA ONE TRUE CHAMPION OF DA ARENA!" it says, looking exactly like the original, but, perhaps due to the innate pettiness of its creator, having a noticeably 'dumbified' voice. Eben, for his part, takes a cautious series of steps closer to Astraden, once again affecting his defensive battle-dance.

Move 10 feet in towards Astraden, cast major image to create a duplicate Auric. Note that this is also now the closest 'creature' to real Auric, in case he keeps rolling 4's. Activate Dance of the 23 Steps as a free action.
