Roderic Lluis DeLaMer |
"Did you see where he went in the room?" Roderic asked, sword still raised in defense and anticipating attack.
Janasen Tillsden |
A few moments go by 2 rounds and the door opens the room is no longer dark.
from within the room you hear a woman's voice "well you might as well come in, instead of standing outside like idiots. Or would you rather me come out there?"
Roderic Lluis DeLaMer |
"What are you?" Roderic asked the darkness. "And what is your purpose in this place?" Roderic said, sword guarding him. Total Defense: New AC 14. "If we may speak and not have to harm you, the better."
Perception: Looking for the Voice's owner: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

The darkness abruptly ends. [B] "well if you want to talk clear the doorway."[b]

"of course he is he would be a very bad bodyguard if he wasn't. Back away from the door and we will both come out." She responds in an annoyed tone.

Arc growls as she marches into the once-dark room, "I will NOT negotiate with demonic scum. Fight or prove your innocence!"
can't touch the map; move me to wherever the fight actually restarts (regardless of fight source.)
Janasen Tillsden |
As Arc rushes through the doorway she is met with flashes of steel from either side of the door. those outside can make out a broad headed blade coming from the left side and a longsword on the right. The barrage is almost too much for Arc to handle. ==15 damage==
Ashe Asani |
Ashe's eyes flare up seeing them strike Arc, "You show your true colors, you choose fighting." She steps up with her hands glowing a calm blue color and heals most of Arcs wounds.
Cure Light Hex: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
I would suggest stepping into the room so you dont get flanked and Roderic can enter (will move once I have permission)

Original plan was to get my Shield Slam off, follow with the last of my movement, and knock the guy prone after hitting the wall. Unfortunately, that requires actually connecting with an attack, do ho ho.

Round will end at midnight tonight
Janasen Tillsden |
Before the end of today Arc has an action, then NPCs

"We were not the ones that reignited hostilities little girl, but feel free to come in and help your foolish friend." Hosilla Responds to Ashe's accusation as steel cuts at arc's Defenses.

"You are acting like foolish children. For the sake of our fellow companion stop your aggressions" Rema calmly says to the group as he puts all his weapons on the ground.
as long as nobody interferes
"I am coming in to see to check on our foolish friend, I am unarmed" Rema walks into the room and checks on the fallen Arc.

Header was actually out of date. Went over my data plan this month a little even without hooking up my computer internet. Just wait until next round for a singular hit, do ho ho. HP math: 21 - 15 + 10 - 8 = 8
Arc ignores their silly words and swings at whomever hit her harder. Shield (PA), Shield Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 61d4 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 121d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Roll all the 1s!
Janasen Tillsden |
alright pcs are up and once again there is nothing barring anyone from entering the room via the spot past Arc. There are enough spots for everyone but the npcs to enter the room.
the next round will start tomorrow at 11 pm.

Well, according to Brad I can move between both of these enemies and not provoke. If this is untrue please move me back out.
Eve moves into the room and strikes at the enemy to the right.

Seeing Arc injured, Roderic hesitates for a moment before asking Iomedae to heal her. Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 1 After all, she had just voided his offer of parlay. He then moved into the room, preventing the enemy from attacking her on both sides.
"Please everyone, stop this now and we may yet have peace between us!" he pleaded to the group. Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Ashe Asani |
Ashe irritably responds in a point of fact manner, "My friend gave you an option. You chose to attack. And she responded in kind. Don't act surprised."
Readying an Evil Eye Hex on the bodyguard should he be hostile again. Description as follows:
Evil Eye Hex DC 15. Attack rolls -2 (For 7 Rounds, Will save reduces it to 1 round)
Her stare meets the bodyguard by the door.
The man's weapon feels slippery in his hand, his vision a little foggy. It is difficult to focus on his foes.

Ignoring Ashe, Hossila tells her bodyguard to stand down with a quick shake of her head.
"you greatly outnumber us, if you can keep your friend there civil we can talk peacefully at the table outside. "

Do they have any obvious Demon iconography? If so, ready thyself for Lyndis Diplomacy and "negotiating with Demonic scum" comments (and probably more 1s). If not, she'll stand down.
Janasen Tillsden |
Arc other than than Tiefling's face they have no obvious symbols of demon worship.
"Only if all of your group agrees." Hosilla is mostly looking at Arc when she says this.

hosilla throws her glaive onto the bed next to her but out of easy reach. The tiefling throws his sword onto the desk just outside of easy to reach distance.
They wait to be lead out of the room.

Ashe Asani |
After arranging ourselves in the room, Ashe finally speaks, "Well...I would like you both to be redeemed in Saranrae's light. The fact that you are willing to seek a non violent solution speaks that you are not as gone as your ally Wendaug. Please return with us to the village, and atone by facing those whom you have done wrong."
Roderic Lluis DeLaMer |
"Unfortunately with the incursion raging above, and an open way before us, I don't think that returning for a trial is what we should do right now." Roderic as he sheaths his sword. Knowing that the captives would most likely be killed by the villagers weighed heavily on his mind.
"I too hope that you seek atonement for your deeds, although I am not sure that the villagers would see this in you. They will see the acts of your past alone. Come with us to the surface and either go your own way, or help us in driving off the invasion."
He addressed the two, "We will bring your weapons with us and return them to you at the surface. You may collect any personal belongings you wish to take with you from here. You will be discharged under the following conditions: You are not to harm us. You are not to return to this place. You are not to return to the village, and are not to harm or harass their people. These being complied with you will be left to your own devices, be they on your own or for the betterment of the land above. Are these agreeable?"
Ashe Asani |
Ashe takes a moment to consider another possible delay.'No, we can't wait to tell others about Kenabres.' Ashe speaks up, "That is true, I think that is probably the best course of action."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Janasen Tillsden |
Hosilla looks surprised at this turn of events. "You have my word we will not return to this place, the village, nor harm those therein, or harm any of you." Is her response.
after a moment she reaches in a bag at her side and pulls out a potion. if she sees a negative reaction she adds "It is just a potion of healing for my bodyguard."

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
"Very well, go ahead. I'm going to collect your weapons." He said as he moved into the room, slowly picking the two up, while keeping his attention on the two.
Assuming no objections
He waited for them to heal themselves, and collect their few personal belongings. "Do you know of any more who inhabit this place? If so, will they leave if you leave?" Roderic asked hoping to be done with the den for good, so that he could leave for the surface with a clear conscience.
Janasen Tillsden |
"You don't need to worry about anyone staying behind to cause trouble. " Hosilla responds with a smile.
With that said Hosilla grabs a lock box from under the desk and heads for the door, unless someone stops her.

Janasen Tillsden |
The lock box is long and made of Iron.
"personal things." is Hosilla's only response. If there are no objections she leads you up and out through the hole where you entered, through the bed chamber, and through the door in the north wall.
The worked stone walls of this large room hold a number of shelves, each of which display the preserved bodies of dire rats, bats, rock vipers, caves lizards, and other creatures that pose in eerie stillness.
Hosilla gestures to a small tunnel to the north that ends with a ladder leading up into another room. The air is most foul in that direction.
climbing the ladder leads to a room with three dead sewer rats. going through you pass a guard post similar to the one at the front entrance to the lair but the guards are already dead. There is a door on the east side wall which leads you to a large chamber. "Just past this maze and we will reach the surface."
need a marching order from the entrance of the maze. The person in the back should be the one at the entrance.
