Liera nods at Fenra's words, following her to the pit. She stands precariously on the edge, peering down at the corpses with a strangely curious expression. Speckle sniffs at the edge of the pit briefly, pink nose twitching, but backs away soon afterward. "Should we check the buildings?"

"They're... goblins? Burnt... Goblins... This... They might not be the smartest creatures but this is... This doesn't seem right."
Turing away from the pit, Fenra turns to Liera. "Although I don't like the thought of being confined in these buildings, we best search them. For more goblins or... Or whatever did this to them." Noting Liera's unease, Fenra gives her, what she hopes, is a reassuring smile.


@Kaaji: That's fine. Most of my family has gone military at some point in their life (my immediate family can't for health issues) so I know what your going through.

Kaaji puts up his open hand to halt the two from approaching any closer. The ranger slides into a predatorial crouch and looks over his shoulder to them, shifting his hand to a single finger in front of his beak. The tengu ranger slowly makes his way towards the noises, readying his bow up and nodding for Lou to follow him.

Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Kaaji moves around the corners and debris towards the noise as quietly as possible and remaining out of sight.

As Lou rounds the building, the sounds inside go a little silent. Slowly, the door to the entrance cracks open, Lou right in the eyesight of what appears to be a goblin! "KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It shrieks out in fright, jumping back towards something behind it. Within a few moments, the shrieks seems to echo about the entire camp.

Sorry, sorry. Had a busy day prepping for my home game. Running Kingmaker is haaaaaard.

Hearing the goblins start yelling, Liera runs up to Lou and Kaaji, already pointing a finger at the goblin in the doorway. As Speckle hides behind her feet, shaking like a leaf, the witch's jaw drops open in a horrific, but perfectly silent, scream, made more terrifying by the fact that her mouth seems far too big to be completely normal.

The goblin she points at, however, is at risk of his eardrums rupturing as a terrifyingly shrill scream echoes in his pointy ears.

Casting Ear-Piercing Scream on the goblin in front of Kaaji. If he fails a Fortitude save (DC15), he's dazed for one round and takes 1d6 ⇒ 4 points of sonic damage. If he succeeds on the save, he isn't dazed, but stilol takes 2 points of damage.


Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Though rocked some by the scream, it's ears had been sort of folded over in fear, protecting it from much of the scream. Panicking, it lifts it's dogslicer and rushes at Liera. However, doing so causes it to leave itself open to both her and Kaaji! AoO from both of you.

The other two rush forward, one practically pushing the other aside to try and attack the odd bird-person. Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Goblin damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 It lands a glancing blow on Kaaji.

Linear barely has time to close her jaw - Did anyone see that? I hope nobody saw that - before the goblin rushes at her, dogslicer swinging wildly. She gasps and stumbles back, clumsily slashing at it with her dagger. At her feet, Speckle bolts for cover.

The goblin falls, a pained and scared expression on it's face. The others are scared as well, but seem to want to fight still...

Kaaji decides to react as swiftly as possible now that their element of surprise has been given up. The tengu ranger moves away from the building, but keeps his line of sight on the doorway. Once in a more suitable location he draws his bow and takes aim at the goblin that is still in the doorway and looses the arrow.

Att: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Dam: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Moved my token accordingly, but missed my shot :(

Lou sees the goblins and tries to manuever into a good spot to strike bobbing and weaving the little runts sword blows.

once nearby Lou lowers himself to the gobling's level as he plants his foot in its face

The goblin in front of her reveled with Kaaji's side step, Fenra stabs at the little monster.

Liera takes a clumsy step back from the goblin, pointing at it as she begins speaking in the language of Hell once more, calling on the misdirecting power of shadows.

Misfortune hex on the closest goblin, DC 14 will save.

The goblin realizes it's off some, but still attempts to swing at Lou.
Attack Take 1: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Attack Take 2: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Thankfully, thanks to Liera, it misses Lou by a mile.

The second one (in the doorway) rushes out towards Fenra, Dogslicer raised high!

But it's way off, missing the elf by a mile.

The last one, shaking from head to toe, moves forward, a small bow in hand. Aiming at Fenra, it fires a small arrow at her.
Attack: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (19) - 4 = 15
Shaking aside, it still sticks her!
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Ouch! Alright, Lou, Fenra and Kaaji are up!

Fenra looks at the little arrow in her. The shock on her face is apparent, as she states, [b]"Boreíte vró̱mika lígo migás!" [b]

Translation: Celestial:
"You filthy little mongrel!"

She strikes at the nearest goblin to her.

Lou swaggers around a bit looking to squash a goblin. His awkward movements confuse the little bugger. (hopefully) giving Lou a chance for his fist find its mark.

Despite being obviously afraid, the goblins are able to just barely dodge the attacks from Fenra and Lou. Their (rather large) teeth continue to chatter in fear.

Just need Kaaji to end the round, then top with Liera!

Kaaji readies another arrow shortly after letting the first one loose. Determined to make a better shot this time the ranger peers down the shaft of his arrow and aims carefully at the goblin in the doorway. The ranger calms his senses and lets his fingers loose the arrow, feeling the flight of it graze against his beak.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5


The goblin in the doorframe freaks out, dropping his little bow and tries running for the marsh. It prompts AoO from all but Kaaji as it tries running away. Then it's Liera's turn n_n

As the goblin makes a run for it, Liera slashes out at him again with her dagger. Unfortunately, she loses her footing in the soft ground, almost slipping, and her attack goes wide.

AoO: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Pointing at the goblin attacking Lou, she repeats her threat. Then, startlingly, her jaw drops open wide and she laughs, a shrill, piercing sound that sets teeth on edge and knees shaking.

Misfortune hex as a standard action on the goblin engaged in melee with Lou, DC 14 will negates. Cackling as a move action to extend duration of all hexes by 1 round, so the poor goblin that's running is still about as lucky as a man with a pugwampi on his back.

Lou was about to grab and fling the goblin to teh ground but instead he guided him the the tip of Fenra's spear.

The tip of the spear catches it in the shoulder, piercing several arteries. Will: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (14) - 3 = 11 Screaching, the one nearest Lou lashes out. Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 13 Attack 2: 1d20 ⇒ 17 It misses!

The one next to Liera freaks, swinging at her. Attacl: 1d20 ⇒ 19 Crit confirm: 1d20 ⇒ 7 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Though the blow lands perfectly, Liera's... unique physiology allows it not to readily harm her, amazingly enough.
