Also, fair warning to Vera's player. Let me know if anything Gkirkhan does or I write make you uncomfortable or don't sit well with you. He's supposed to be adorably goofy, not a creep.
Haha. As long as it stays relatively close to PG, we should be fine.
Vera on the other hand is probably going to be very uncomfortable. She is a paladin, raised by paladins (who were probably raised by paladins). Half-naked half-orcs with boundary issues weren't a part of any bird and the bees talk she ever had.
Oh this is going to be fun. I pretty much plagiarized him from this Girl Genius Character. Except he has black hair and green skin instead of purple.

Seems to be my lot in Sandpoint. What little I played of Rise of the Runelords, my oracle became the obsession of Aldern Foxglove. So naturally the inquisitor took it upon himself to keep telling Foxglove (in secret) that my character was just shy with her affections and he just needed to try harder to impress her.
It should be interesting to see how the two interact in the future.
As a sidenote given that my grew up among a clan of Shaonti barbarians, he is probably more comfortable around people he considers similar, and the large half-orc seems to fit. Also his education in common was from a very strict and proper teacher (I consider Shaonti his native tongue, his tribe being the liason between the cities and the tribes, he learned common politely and as "civilized" as possible) so he is going to speak more exactly and often a little bit slowly as if he is carefully choosing his words.

I have to admit, its fun to RP oblivious sometimes. I can be my own worst enemy when it comes to setting my characters up to be teased.
Given that its not illegal and I am trying to make Vera as non-judgemental at paladinly possible, I don't think she'll be angry...so much as very, very, (maybe add a few more verys) uncomfortable.

Life happens, trust me. Much like how I disappeared yesterday. Next door neighbors say they saw bugs and gassed their apartment. Spent most of last night and this morning in hospital with difficulty breathing. Management is trying to evict them now...

I'm fine, just can't breathe too well right now. Poor dog has it worse, but the vet said this afternoon to give them a good night of clean air, so they're leashed outside on the porch right now. Thankfully it is a fair night, so they should do well.

Finally able to smell now! And the dog seems none the worse for wear. Should be fine now. *Whew* Relief.

Purely speaking out of character. From a purely game mechanics standpoint, I love how she wasn't even unconscious and we're acting like shes half dead after receiving magical healing. But once we're the "heroes" we'll get knocked unconscious in a fight twice and get up still swinging and no ones going to be telling us to sit out the rest of the caravan because of it.
Just making my observations.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I was mostly rolling with the DMs descriptions...and he was making it sound like she is still in really bad shape and shouldn't be fighting. Even from a mechanical standpoint, I would assume from descriptions that she isn't anywhere near full strength. Considering that Vera is new to town and doesn't know that Ameiko and Shalelu are badass adventurers, her protective paladin nature is kicking in.
Of course, she is also non-confrontational...So if Shalelu still insists on coming, which I fully expect she will, Vera isn't going to stop her. However, she would be remiss to not point out that its kind of dangerous to bring a heavily injured, unarmed woman on a goblin hunt.
Makes sense. I have the same issue about being non-confrontational, waiting on Shalelu to stand up for herself, so I'm stuck till the DM posts again.

No, I'm actually going to be out of town at a wedding both weekends.
It helps being 20 minutes away from the Hotel, and 20 min away from Paizo.
As stated earlier, I need 9 coins to get her a bow if people wish to chip in.
Personally, I liked the intro with them injured. Very nice and sets a good dramatic tone to get us to adventure together. The sheriff pushed us into a bit of a dead wall, likely to get us to wait until morning, but it did feel a bit forced. Overall though it was very good.
