Your stats seem too high to me, you don't exchange the points on a one to one basis after a certain point. It works like this;
Ability score. Cost.
8. -2 (you get two points back)
9. -1 (you get one point back)
10. 0 (base stat you start with)
11. 1
12. 2
13. 3
14. 5
15. 7
16. 10
17. 13
18. 16
So your stats could be for example;
Str 16 (5 points to make it 14 + 2 natural for human)
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 10
Wis 10
Cha 14

Regarding races. Ravengro where this campaign begins is a seriously backwater, xenophobic society. They are distrusting of outsiders in general and are a very close-knit community. Think provincial towns in fiction like Dracula - they know bad things happen in the dark so anything strange is treated at best with suspicion.
I only bring this up because you will have a significantly more difficult time relating to people, getting help or information if you are some weird cat-headed race.
Acceptable races will be;
-All core races
-Changelings
-Dhampirs
-Aasimars
-Tieflings (but think long and hard before you give yourself horns, cloven feet an a forked tongue.)
Please don't pick Tiefling or Aasimar just for the stats, I'd really like a strong story behind it. And also please don't all just pick Tieflings and Aasimars.
There will be no guns as this is going to be classic dark ages horror.

"Markus Valon at your service." He offers his hand, for a handshake and then continues. "I serve The Great Dreamer, Desna in all her glory." He then bow's "It's a pleasure to meet you all."

I think I'm ready.

Wanted to look like Kung Lao, nearest I could find. I'll change it if you like. BTW are you happy for me to take alternate resistances? I'd like to take the Deathless spirit one instead of the usual acid resistance etc.

Cool. Ties in to my character arc. Cheers.

Yes. BUT the coffin IS on the floor. If you read both Davos' post and mine, we both lowered our end of the coffin As we were both at the rear, the back of the coffin would be resting on the ground with two men holding the front (if still raised). I can;t see why the coffin would fall to the ground as a result.

Cool. Do I get 12 Hero points reward too?!

Lol!

Guys, just putting this out there. Dan and I were playing in another PbP game which has now broken down due to DM personal issues. It ran for about a year and, despite some problems here and there, was actually pretty good.
One of the players thinks they will now struggle to find a game because they are in GMT and overwhelmingly these boards are subscribed to by Americans. I was thinking about maybe asking him to join us since we've literally just started. He's a very regular poster from what I've seen and good roleplayer but it would mean we had a group of 7 and I don't know whether you'd want to keep it just us guys?

The increase in loot is easy enough, the increase in challenge is nearly doubled. I can do some simple tricks like giving monsters the advanced template which basically gives them +2 to everything and increases the CR by 1. Other than that I'd either swap out monsters or increase the number. I have to do that now with six so I don't see why it would be different with seven.

Then I vote yes, to be honest the more,going on, on the pop the better for me I hate waiting... But will have 7 make combat go slower because we have to wait for all 7 to post? Should we all maybe have a base move that if people don't post in 12 hours they just do that e.g attack nearest guy and stuff like that?

Sounds good to me.

Hello everyone.
Again Jamzilla thank you for the invite and the chance to play with you guys.
Wanted to drop in to hear everyones' opinions on what character to play - I am open to most any class and have already discussed some ideas with Jamzilla, but wanted to hear everyones' opinion.
The group seems to be really balanced out - Fighters are a passion of mine, but the frontline seems to be very decently covered, so I dropped that one. Healing seems to be more than adequately taken care of, so I am standing between a couple of options:
- Paladin: For a change of pace, I would play a Ranged paladin - for one, I haven't played a paladin in a very long time, and a ranged one is something I have never tried. Flavour wise, it seems like the perfect "beacon in the darkness" kind of thing for this AP, though I have never played it;
- Bard: I've been leaning more and more and more towards the full support Bard - with most roles of the group taken care of, and with a large sized group, I think the Bard buffs could really tip the scale, so I thought about the possibility of going all out bard, or perhaps a Dirge;
- Thief: I am really inexperienced with the thief/rogue/ninja class, and though it seems the party will have no big issues in social interaction, it seems that the Disarm Traps area is lacking. I'll be honest, though it would not be my first choice, I have been wanting to try the rogue for some time now. My concerns regarding the sneak attack vs. undead is a non issue in Pathfinder since most undead can be sneak attacked, etc., my concern now is with other stuff I could think of to improve rogue efficiency, like poisons, ability damage, inflicting conditions, criticals, and their reduced use against undead.
Last but not least, just wanted to let you guys know that I will probably only be able to have a character up this evening/tonight.
Apologies for the long post - I am looking forward to this one, and just wanted to ask as much input as possible ;)
Cheers

Hey, Well I can't really say you should be what you want regardless of party balance at the end of the day its your character for the whole campaign so you should be happy with it and not just go something to fill a role. however if you enjoy fighter types paladins probably a good choice smite is awesome since I'm guessing there will be a lot of evil things and the brilliant saves is a plus also self healing and buffing fit in with all the other religious freaks too. Bard I love they are awesome they got a lot of skills awesome buff and can be decent ranged or melee guys the ability to also make any knowledge check is handy and the extra skills from versatile performance is good . Rouges are also good for traps because now of us can spot them at all at the moment and they also have good skills and are really good if you can flank and with 7 of us now it will be likely you will be able too. All three of those classes have interesting role playing opportunities too so also a plus.
And also nice too meet you and never apologise for long posts always welcome here
