That last set of rolls is why I find it fun to play a 2H fighter.
Gold is not a bad color for Beppo. I'm sure if we go with grey things, he'd love to be steel.
Other (much more lame) grey things:
lead
wool
stone
granite

Not to draw fire here, but are we expected/welcome/permitted/restricted/forbidden/executed-on-sight for carrying weapons in the streets?
Aside from Bill, Devil shows a kukri, with the three chakram racked under his cloak. Which hopefully doesn't matter all that much.

Citizens are permitted as long as they stay in their scabbards, bags, etc in the city limits. You are allowed to pull them out in weapon stores and private residences for the purposes of vending, cleaning, maintain, etc. They are never to be drawn to threaten others. One can use one in the city to protect yourself from lawless types where one's life is endangered, though that can be hard to prove after the fact.

While are you welcome to discuss what you want to buy with each other (in discussion if you want to get into meta style discussions) and even mention what stores you are going to here, please email your purchases to me. I can only update the Herolabs files at home, and I don't get to do so every day. By emailing it to me, I can leave it in my inbox until I actually take care of it.
Westcrown is a substantial city, carrying common magic items, armor, and equipment up to 16,000 gp in value. For items higher than that, or anything too exotic, you would need to go to Cheliax, or send out someone you trust. When we get to that bridge, I'll provide more details.
Items that meet the above criteria must also meet the criteria of the house rules (in particular, they must be from an approved source). If you have any questions, please let me know.

40 pp huh.... Hmmm dunno really what to purchase, I am thinking maybe some additional javelins to make up the lost ones in the sewers. Tessai is still holding onto her 3 potions of CLW, so that is coolness. Maybe additional rations if we will be travelling soon.
But otherwise, I have nothing particular in mind. Any ideas ppl?

I dont know how much down time we have. Now that arael is safe we don't seem to be particularly pressured so if people want to I can brew them potions of clw, enlarge person or shield?
I might save mine or possibly get a masterwork spear. Not sure yet

I'll sell my rapier for 10 gp and my thieves tools for 15 gp and will buy a MW rapier for 320 gp and MW thieves tools for 100 gp, leaves me with 5 gp from the original 40 pp

Hmmmmm, Masterwork rapier - nice idea to complement my2/3 BAB :D
40 pp = 400 gp correct?
So I will be selling my rapier also for 10 gp, and buying a masterwork one for 320. GM can you confirm how many javelins I have left?
400+10-320=90gp from the 40pp

Remember to email me your choices, or they won't count. :)
Check out this post. There's not a lot of detail there...but it looks like they're going to be sanctioning APs. However, it looks like the two they've chosen is RotRL and Shattered Star.
I know a lot of you joined, originally, to get PFS credit. We switched to this because I could see no way to keep playing and earn credit with the !!@$@#$@%'ers who were whining that we weren't following RAW closely enough.
The question is, if there's a way to earn credit by playing a different AP, does the group feel strongly we should switch? Or do we keep on with this?

I followed you all in here, I'll follow you out. I'll play Sharan, or Devil, or the next monstrous melange of molded milk I may mechanically manage.
I'm not really sure what the point is of a 'sanctioned' AP, save for the GM. Since an AP runs into retirement for a PC, is it not the same as not having no sanction at all? I do see the payoff for a GM, though, and I'm happy to be able to provide that. Only fair.

To be perfectly honest I dont fully understand PFS and credits. Ill look into it fully so I cam give an informed opinion but at the moment im more than happy to stick with this, these are interesting characters that id like to see grow as a group.

BD- couldn't tell ya. But, I would have to expect something like this to mean something to the players, too.
Also, PFS no longer requires complete at 12, since there are a handful of sanctioned, higher level modules.
Personally, I don't care either way. Anyone who has played in my games long enough knows that outside of a few pet peeves of mine, I'm pretty open to running whatever the players want. I'm even willing to change campaigns if they wish, make chances, etc. I've run campaigns as high as 17 before, and I've seen them fall apart at level 1. I like AP because they provide a strong foundation (Golarion, everything scripted, more or less), but I have the freedom of house rules, adding my own NPCs, items, etc when I want, etc. Like most of you, I've really enjoyed switching to an AP, and I agree its an awesome group.
I just know that a lot of you were involved in PFS when you came over. We even had a player leave our merry group because this campaign in no way ties into PFS. I wasn't sure how strongly the rest of you feel. It appears, however, that those two campaigns are somehow being sanction, but this one is not...yet. Maybe this will get 'sanctioned' somehow. If it does, I'm not sure what that means for your PFS characters.
This is all admittedly pretty vague. When I saw it, though, my eyes popped, and I immediately thought of our group and how we got here.

On another note, what do you all think of having a more robust website for our campaign? I do it with my other campaigns and it works really well. Here's the one for my homebrew... Forzega. Granted, it almost seems redundent since we write everything out here directly on the boards. If we did this, it would be to summerize and review what's going on. You can see there's a journal, place to add characters, special items, maps, etc.
Let me know what you think . If we did do this, I would be looking for two volunteers to work on journals. They can be written from a third person, historic perspective, the character's perspective, etc. Creativity is encouraged!

I'll journal and post to discussion, but I'm somewhat dis-incentive-d to stray too far from the window that shows me there are new posts. That and Dropbox for images, we seem well set. I will check Forzega over lunch, though.

In our Carrion Crown journal (which I won't post here for spoiler reasons...but I would if someone asks), the people who do the journals use images from the Dropbox in their journal. It's spiffy :)
Unlike Paizo boards, OP does (by default) send the group emails when and entry has been changed or added, based on preferences you set. I WISH that paizo boards did the same. Having to rember to reload or bookmark all my threads (or follow the dots) is SUCH a pain. [/gripe]

Ahead of the expected speed of transmission of the events at the bridge back to town, and thence to the street patrols. I mean, essentially, that they are not looking for us YET, at least not for the bridge.

I'm not so sure. I get the feeling we've been back in town a reasonable amount of time and the HKs horses cant have been badly injured by the caltrops. If I was heading that pack I would have sent at least one rider back to HQ at top speed to report back. I guess were about to fins out anyway! :-)

No, I have no idea where Devil is getting this...
"Witness! Elder's change of heart!
Witness! Patriot's song!

Witness! Righted wrong!

I love it, BD.
I was worried, actually. Be sure, will take Craft: Satire or similar ASAP.
Characters never go where I plan...
BD thought maybe the old man would sing something patriotic, and the HKs could be shamed into standing down. Ah well.

Well, with the loud crowd and the given fact that you aren't the first to turn poetic during a judgement, let's just say the effect was...minimized. However, it was very nicely worded. I have to give you an "A" for effort. And I wouldn't be so quick as to presume that no one was impacted or that no one took notice....

Tessai is chiping in with the 40pp=400gp to assist. If Aemon is also interested, we can split it 3 ways.
By the way guys, Tessai will be really unimpressed with the ones not willing to part from cash recently stolen from the Hellknight, yes... stolen - when supposedly all this is about helping the citizens of Westcrown, and that same money most likely already belongs to all this people.
Please don't stress out - the player would LOVE to have a new rapier to compensate the gimped BAB, but Tessai will not understand it so easily :D

I may have earned an 'A' in spontaneous satire, but I've an 'F' in maths.
I'm not sure how I thought 40 Plats converted to 800 gold, but I did. And then, I also rode the derp-train into reading the entry for the Cap of Human Guise wrong, and thought I could get two of those. Riding in today, the maths hit me, and I got it wrong that time, too, thinking 200GP. I guess the coffee hadn't kicked in. OK, so it's 400GP.
Devil will support the effort to restore the man's voice, but he suggests it NOT be done immediately. HKs will just do it again. Give him time to get used to the inability, since he'll have to conceal his voice in future, anyway. At least, that's Devil's thinking. He will accede to the wishes of the majority/clericy/gynarchy.

On the other hand, Beppo will be reluctant to part with "his" cash to help out some old fart commoner who got himself in trouble, particularly if it is some devil-spawn's idea.
...so maybe he's more true neutral (i.e. selfish) and less chaotic good than I thought...

Keep in mind, Beppo, that alignment is just an overall descriptor. And it's biggest influence is how you handle life and death situations more than how you handle the smaller things in life. A rogue who picks pockets here and there, hordes his cash, but regularly lays his life on the line to protect the weak and innocent is still a CG, not a CN. A character who gives to the poor, but stands by stoically when an innocent is hurt, even when it is in his power to do something about it, it really displying strong N behaviour. Etc., etc.
As far as I see, all of you just laid your lives on the line to free an 'innocent' man...a leader of a new group who's sole goal seems to be to improve the lives of the common people of Westcrown. None of you demanded (or even asked hard) for gold, compensation, personal gain or even promises. I'm not sure what Alignment each one of you have on your sheets, but that's strong "G" behaviour. Since it was not technically illegal, it would not shift and LG closer to NG.
