Keryth takes up the bottle and pours himself a modest amount. Holding up his glass to the ligt he examines the liquid closely. Pleased with its appearance he then swirls the contents for a moment before putting the goblet up to his nose and inhaling deeply. Interesting bouquet. Taking a large sip, Keryth holds the wine in his mouth for a few moments before pursing his lips and sucking air through it. Swallowing he remarks, It has as complex as a structure as you described. Well-balanced. A not entirely inharmonious fusion.

I will have to introduce you to some of my favourites sometime. Perhaps I can have a few bottles shipped in for the next time we return. Keryth then wanders off to talk to the tavern owner.

*Concerning Treasure, Terquem wrote:

There are four sacks and each weighs about seven to ten pounds. The sacks contain, gold, silver, electrum and platinum coins as well as a few small rubies, sapphires and emeralds. All together the treasure is probably worth close to two thousand gold pieces.

Meanwhile as Billy examines the bugbears, he finds a few copper and silver coins in a belt pouch on one of the bugbears (22 copper pieces and 9 silver pieces). While in a pocket of the sorcerbear’s robe he finds a long, very narrow metal tube sealed on one end by being folded and crimped while the other end has a cork stuffed in it. A message in common on the tube reads, “unidentified potion".

All I could find was from the Bugbears, which was the only encounter prior to the skeletons :( Treasure is usually distributed as we find it, unless there are items that need to be sold. BTW, did we figure out the potion's identity? The monkeys before that only had rotten bananas. I'm pretty sure we'll be selling the Hula girl into slavery so add another 62 gp to your purse (625x50%=312.5/ 5 characters = 62).

That's actually a treasure value, not really the same as selling back gear or items you take from monsters, so it will sell for the full 625 gold pieces

Day 7, morning (approximate time of day, unknown) (turn X) Returning to the “A” Dungeon. The Dungeon is in Darkness

Before the previous day is over, Ballar visits Kitty Laverne’s Boom Boom Club, and is greatly entertained by the Necromechadons* there. He spends a little money, and has a very good time

Ballar is going to have to deduct 10 gold pieces from his treasure for entertainment

When the morning of the seventh day comes, the heroes are hardly aware that another day has come and gone as the city continues to be shrouded in perpetual twilight conditions. The only sign that it is morning, at all, is the long lines at the coffee shops just up the street from the Shady Dragon Inn.

For some reason, Zaehrya cannot recall exactly what became of that application. She seems to remember Ballar saying something about dropping it off at the correct office while he was out last night, but after all the wine, and the engaging conversation of the night before, she isn’t absolutely certain that he remembered to take it with him, and she cannot find it anywhere among her belongings either

The group, Ballar, Karuum, Keltos, Keryth, Niversal, and Zaehrya, meet outside the Shady Dragon, and greet each other. While they are making a quick check of their gear and assuring themselves that they are ready to get started, Zaehrya notices that Kamastra, looking freshly groomed, is holding a folded parchment by one corner, hanging precariously from the tiger’s teeth.

My Lady, can we get going already, time is wasting

*According to legends, the city, under a previous name, was sacked by an army of goblins and Necromechadons some four hundred years ago. Prior to that, Necromechadons were not altogether uncommon in the city, and it was said that many upper class individuals kept these creatures (and knew the secret of their origins) as domestic pets and playthings. A necromechadon is a bizarre cross between a machine, an animated object with some sentience, and a corpse. They are created though a peculiar, though not necessarily evil, magic ritual, and some Necromechadons are actually pleasant to be around, while others can be hideous and nightmarish in both appearance and behavior. Control of a Necromechadon is a delicate process, losing control of one can be fatal.

Looking up from his pack, the dwarf's face shows no sign of understanding anything of what Zaehyra just asked. Shifting his eyes from side to side, Ballar stalls for a moment, apparently thinking hard of something intelligent to say, yet keeping it vague enough so as to cover just about any topic, Huh? Oh, yeah, yeah s'all been tak'n care of.
In truth, the events of the previous evening are kind of hazy. With a few pints under his belt, Ballar remembers leaving the group and heading out. Kitty Laverne’s Boom Boom Club is a must see in Du’Orbna and he'd promised himself to pop in on Jacqueline when he'd returned topside. With his fiery red beard neatly combed and cloak spotless, it was an evening to remember. There were great drinks, fabulous music, a large brown manila envelope, spicy food served with a variety of particularly pungent cheeses and he can't forget that especially rich mushroom soup appetizer.
There is a vague recollection of a one sided argument with a clerk somewhere, How tha devil did this blast'd nitwit talk his way inta tha Boom Boom Club? Some drunken threats had been exchanged and he'd had to pay a fine of some sort, Prob'ly far insult'n tha daft bugger. At least he'd gotten a receipt, Proof o'payment's import'nt these days. The last thing a cleric needs these days is the long arm of the law coming to collect. Look what happened to Berenwyr! Ballar doesn't remember what time he'd finally gotten around to leaving and the details of how he'd gotten back to the Shady Dragon are, well, shady.

I suggest returning to the pool around mid morning (10am?). Ballar's channeling is now 3d6 and he has two water skins to fill which he will keep in his possession.

Assuming Ballar is once again managing a Lantern for the party, is this correct?

Quickly visiting the magic pool, Ballar places the lantern on the floor, and performs a blessing over the water

He then fills two water skins and he briefly explains why, in a mumble.

Keryth and Zaehyra aren’t completely sure Ballar’s explanation is sound, but they also fill water skins of their own, just in case the Dwarf is telling the truth.

When they are finished filling the bags, the group hustles, following a collection of notes and partial maps on various pieces of paper spread out among them. For a while it seems as if every monster in the Dungeon has the day off, as it is quiet, and the going is not interrupted, but how long can this good fortune last?

And besides, shouldn't we try to ascertain something useful to base our decision on rather then just letting fate decide? Maybe listen at the doors for example?

The second door pops open after being forced hard by the modified Anytool, and the party is suddenly standing in the door of a peculiar little shop.

A Portly Halfling, with a tall hat, and a well tailored suit, stands in the center of the room, and he is surprised to see you. He turns to the left, and shouts,

Bartleby, how many times have I told you that the door is to remain unlocked during buisnes hours. You incompetent nincompoop.

Suddenly an attractive female Gnome comes racing out from behind a small counter and apologizes to the Halfling. She is dressed demurely, but her smooth black hair, perfect face, and curvaceous figure captures your attention.

Sir, I’ve asked you not to call me Bartleby, My name is Betty, Betty LaPage, and I did unlock the door, it was stuck. The door is always stuck. Always.

The room, this store as it were, seems to have a variety of mundane, dungeon exploring items for sale, with large signs displaying the prices (all seem be a bit higher than Jeffries Emporium, but the merchandise does look to be good quality stuff). There are ropes, climbing harnesses, grappling hooks, six, eight, and the ever popular ten foot poles. Dang it! Forgot to add in a diplomacy check :(
Ballar bows his head apologetically but eyes the halfling through his thick eyebrows, iVan's ya say? An by iNvitation ya mean... Ballar smiles and starts patting down his pockets as though to look for one while casually glancing towards the others.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Bluffing he has an invitation somewhere: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 -Guess he won't buy that one...

iVan folds his arms across his small chest, taps his foot impatiently, then when Zaehyra comments on his predicament, he lets out an exasperated sigh

Disfavor, pfff. One does not simply walk into the "A" Dungeon and set up shop. I waited fourteen years for my license to be approved.

When Ballar begins searching for his iNvitation,

iVan's Ability to detect a Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

the Halfling marches away from him and raises his hands in the air as he shouts

Bartleby, show these cretins the door, they're wasting my time. And my time cannot be wasted, let them waste yours.

"Fourteen years?!" Zaehyra scoffs. "I'd be an angry piss too," she laughs as her eyes lock onto Betty, measuring her from the entrance.

Keryth doesn't even enter the "establishment". Spying the mundane nature of the goods from the doorway, he sniffs derisively, They don't even carry an eleven foot pole. And I surely wouldn't lower myself to buy any "i" products. Over-hyped, over-priced, self-indulgent trinkets for the bleating masses, before stepping back out into the hall to wait.

Ballar stops checking his pockets, Now list'n 'ere iVan, with tha attitude ya'll be lucky ta see any pay'n custom'rs in 'ere, invitation or not! Clearly this halfling does not deserve any more of his time. Through trying to converse with him, Ballar turns to Betty, You'd be do'in yaself a favor leav'n tha likes of him Betty. There's more coin ta be made explor'n these passageways than follow'n this beardless, orc love'n ouff! Turning to leave Ballar chuckles at the wizard's assessment as he steps back into the passageway, Heh, eleven foot pole!
