We have an ongoing PFS pbp group in need of some new blood. We need someone who can play the tier 1-5 scenarios, preferably close to the center of that spread so the group stays near each other in levels.
We are looking for any class able to mix it up in melee to correct our current party imbalance. We run at a medium posting pace so a scenario takes about two months to complete and your PC is locked in to the pbp for its duration meaning you won't be able to play it elsewhere. Ideally we would like someone who was willing to dedicate a PC to adventuring as part of this team, but a short term commitment is fine as well as long as you can stick it out to complete the scenario you sign on for.
Current group:
Sorcerer (elemental fire) 3
Sorcerer (fey) 3
Cleric 1 / Fighter 1
New PC (undecided class, will level in real time games to catch up)
Our next scenario is Among the Dead and we plan to play Among the Gods once everyone has made level 3. The City of Strangers double is on the docket for future scenarios as well.
We are looking for one or possibly two recruits at the moment.
Hey, this guy isn't a PFS character, but I've been wanting to start one similar to him. Would need to adjust down the point buy etc. But this is the type of guy I'm looking to play, would keep the undead focus as well.
Hmm. First level front liners in a group moving towards subtler 3-4 might have a problem. That isn't to say they can't do it, but the chances of your PC getting splattered are definitely higher and you will likely remain 1-2 levels behind the rest of the group unless you manage to sneak in a real time game or two between scenarios with the pbp group.
I'm going to hold off for the moment to see if we can pull at least one level 2-4 melee type.
I have a second lvl Druid that would love to particpate!
He is the character that I sometimes toss GM credit to, so its possible he can grab some exp between pbp adventures.
I've peeked at your adventures from time to time and would love to climb aboard. Although it looks like you are in need of some muscle as opposed to finesse, I'd like to submit my 3rd level Rogue for your consideration.
I'm generally a fairly active PbP player...I typically check in several times per day and post when necessary.
Additionally, the Inquisitor that I have in mind is designed to be a second line combatant with bonuses to attack, damage, with skill focus to support and followed by the undead divine focus. Between feats and traits I think he ends up being fairly kick ass. And I post several times a day, am in front of a pc or on my tablet most of the day.
Dr Gabe, you are in with the Druid as the first person to reply within the criteria we are looking for. That gives us five.
We are waiting to hear back on whether a friend of the GM is joining. If he is not we will recruit another from you guys. Should know soon. We are currently wrapping up Among the Living. Should finish in two- three days.
Marchello> I might be persuaded to give you my player slot for this next scenario to give your guy a try. I already have a player credit for Among the Dead so I was going to play a pregen for no credit. But I would want to rejoin the group afterward so it would be a one off unless another player withdraws. If we do that I might run a low level one shot PFS pbp to get another GM credit on my new guy before rejoining the main group.

That would work for me, and I would appreciate it. You never know how things might turn out. Let me know if you want to go down that path and I will make a new character with the propoer PFS point buys, etc.
Ok, I'm going to run #35 Voice in the Void while Luke runs Among the Dead. It is Tier 1-7. If any of you guys would like to be in that one you have first call.
I'm currently out of town so it wouldn't be starting until next weekend or so and depending on how long it takes us to get a table signed up. This would also likely be a one shot rather than a continuous string of scenarios.
DrGabe> you can post over in the discussion thread linked to this one. Luke Parry is running the series right now so he'll give your sheet the once over and you can chat and strategize with the other players there. You could go ahead and include fame and prestige on your profile. Also which scenarios you have played for planning of future scenarios.
This got a little jumbled because I was figuring out what I wanted to do as we posted here.
- We are currently waiting to see if Talhaearn is going to be part of the ongoing crew I originally posted this thread for. He is the second PC posted over here fitting the level spread we are looking for. There was a previous invitation out to a friend of the group and once we know his decision then I can tell you for sure.
- I am going to run a second group through a one shot PFS scenario which will be Voice in the Void. I'll take the first six who express an interest in that one and who have characters who can legally sit down and play at the same table. It is Tier 1-7. I will make a separate IC and OOC thread for that game soon, but I wanted to give anyone who posted in this thread the first opportunity to sign on for the one shot.
I would like to proffer Mordecai Shrykeson, a level 2 Oracle of Life. I'm taking a very-squishy awesome-healing build. If you're interested in RP information I have a backstory and some writing samples.
I haven't looked over any sheets in detail, but mordecai will need to shift his alignment. Evil is off limits for PFS. If your character later shifts to evil through extreme actions he is retired from play. I'm not a stickler on alignment infractions, but it is part of the new guide so I'm throwing it out there.
Helaman- sorry about that, but I dont have too many low tier scenarios left to claim GM credit on and this one looked pretty fun. Another time. There are an unusual number of PFS pbps recruiting right now though so keep an eye out and good luck.
I would be honored to join you if you think a TWF rogue is what the group needs, but if you'd rather recruit someone with a more sturdy AC to hold your front line I totally understand.
I'm going to play the pregen of Valeros for this one and I will bring in some sort of a dedicated full bab character afterward with GM credit to level him.
In other words, you are exactly what we are looking for right now. :)
Sorry, as posted in the other thread you guys are in different games. This thread no longer refers to voice in the void. Also voice in the void already had six players and two alternates.
