Each of those abilities will require us to open a communications line with other ships. Fortunately, I think we seem to prefer talking to shooting, so that's doable.

Regarding Corven's Sense Force:

So, as I understand it, Gotal and Moroka give off the strongest "light" and there is a feeling of "order" about them, the result of having been trained in the ways of the Force. Then, immediately after them is Renlo, who is not only Force-sensitive but also trained in using the Force, albeit not as much as a Jedi, and then comes Donavaan, who is also Force-sensitive but untrained. And last but not least, he can feel Jak, but in the same way he would feel any other non-Force-sensitive individual. Is this more or less correct?

Regarding Donavaan:

Corven did indeed bring him on board the ship. Not entirely sure where he would have put him to sleep it off, but I am guessing the first somewhat comfortable place he could find as soon as he and Donavaan and Jak entered the ship. He probably would not have looked for any crew quarters and/or beds until they were safely away from the Beggar's Moon.

I'll admit, I didn't expect as many Force-sensitives as we ended up with. I kinda figured my guy, and maybe a full Jedi. 2 Jedi and 2 other Force-sensitives besides myself was unexpected.

It could give a certain purpose and a touch of something other than mere happenstance and coincidence having a hand in the group being brought together. Or not. Depends on how we choose to interpret it and play it out once we find out that most of us have some connection to the Force.

Oh I don't mind, I thought it was better to roleplay the being drunk than just to chalk it up right away when it was conveniant despite being accussed of holding the story up.

I do not actually think you held the story up at any point really. At least I did not notice anything. And the mental image of all of us going about tying up loose ends and carrying wounded or drunk people (cough cough) in order to get ready to get the ship and leave has been very satisfying and amusing.


The GM thought differently.

It has been roughly two hours since you started this journey.
You now have 5 days travel. Donavaan could join the party at any time. We are in essence, in down time. Move time forward 6 - 8 hours and he's sporting a hangover but awake.

I was hoping to have this conversation as part of our 6-day journey, about who can do what on the ship.

Here's quick writeup of the positions that pertains to Vehicle Combat, as well as the relevant skills and actions for each one:

Pilot:

Skill(s): Pilot
Actions: Attack with Vehicle Weapon (if Pilot operated), Attack Run, Dogfight, Fight Defensively, Move, Full Stop, Increase Vehicle Speed, All-Out Movement, Ram, Avoid Collision

Copilot:

Skill(s): Pilot
Actions: Aid Another (pilot only)

Gunner:

Skill(s): None
Feat(s): Weapon Proficiency (Heavy), Vehicular Combat (Pilot weapons only)
Talent(s): Spacehound (Scoundrel talent)

Commander:

Passengers have no role. A ship's sensors operate off of Perception, and one person can fill multiple roles at a time(especially in a starfighter).

Post here which roles your character is capable of filling. That way, we know who should do what if we get into Starship Combat.

Renlo is capable of being: Pilot, Copilot, Gunner, Commander, Other (Navigator)

Great idea Renlo. Unfortunately Gotal is useless in a Starship with the exception of the Other Crew rolls which would involve the Perception skill.

I can currently effectively fill systems operator and engineer positions. In time, I'll likely be able to fill other positions as well.

Commander helps coordinate actions. Basically, lots of Aid Another or using talents and feats that make others better.

Edit: Donavaan, in a combat situation, I'll probably head for a gun, since I'm the only one proficient with starship weapons.

You can also copilot, since I'll fill the Gunner role.

I'd actually ask Gotal or Corven to take the other gun. Corven because he might have some experience from an IC perspective, and Gotal from mechanical full base attack perspective.

I was thinking using the jet pack as a base, then modifying from there. Could be interesting.
