I don't know about longer but it will help flow and coordination. Feel free to to roll init and surprise perceptions and stuff too. I think I would prefer to make saves though. Just tell me the effects.

Outsider

Realized I didn't like the Pathfinder standard confusion table, so made my own. Here is where Kelsa's confusion role reactions will be coming from:

Roll d6
1: Single standard move in a random direction (d8)
2: Move away from nearby creatures as quickly as possible.
3: Attack the nearest creature.
4-6: Babble incoherently, do nothing.

Ha. I forgot about that. I took 14 points of damage but false life negated 13. That makes Dante look pitiful taking one point of damage and passing out.

That does make the preceding fight a bit less exciting. Soon the kid gloves will have to come off...

If people have put up their posts by this evening I'll get one last update in before Thanksgiving weekend here in the States. After that (or if that doesn't happen) we're on break until Monday, as I'll be away from home.

Outsider

Keeping an eye on developments, but remember that it is hard for me to advance us in time until I see some agreement to a plan on the part of the players. The more explicit the better. Heck, it's even great if you guys you guys use OOC text in-post to talk to each other more plainly about what you want to do, because that makes it more obvious to me.

Outsider

Forgot to add: alternatively you can also just tell me the plan in discussion. Whatever ends up happening is fine, I just don't want too much delay to occur because I don't know what you, the players, intended for us to do/where to go.

Where are people on the holiday season and a break? I can probably keep posting right up until the 23rd or so, but if people would rather we break earlier that is also fine. I figure we'll come back around the 4th of January.

Anybody prefer breaking earlier?

Outsider

Nevermind. Just found out I get to work a bit more over the holidays than I liked (will also be paid more, so It's not like they're screwing me, but still). With that in mind, I'm calling us as on break until the 4th. As usual, IF people post there's a good chance I will post as well (I still intend to get in our next post at some point in the next few days) but nobody is obligated to.

Happy holidays everyone!

Outsider

At the beep, it will be roughly two hours to sundown for your characters.

Beep.

The cave is maybe twenty minutes straight march away from camp. As to the direction, that sounds like a good question for Luca to ask Tyrus. :)

(Tyrus, the direction was noted in the initial spoiler)

Sure. Sorry about the familiar wierdness. We're the biggest party of 3 you're likely to find. I think we can be worse though. Maybe Dante and I should have gone Variant Multiclassing Summoner, and Luca could pick up a familiar.
"it took six hours just to put all the pc's tokens on the map!"
"How many players!?!?"
"3!"

Outsider

Nah, I should know these rules by now. Though you guys certainly have picked up quite the assortment of non-companion companions. Next game I GM I'm gonna limit the class assortment a bit. Or rather, a bit more.

You'd be surprised. As time has gone on more and more classes have a way to add something. I think that is why PFS says 'only one companion'.

*Looks guiltily at Luca's small army of companions*

(Although in fairness, she doesn't actually use her Eidolon that much, since she doesn't want others seeing it... and as a half-growth, non-combat companion, it sees even less use. XD)

Outsider

At least it makes it easier to not bother with recruiting a fourth party member.

I had been waiting on your response, Tyrus. Normally I would NPC you, but this seems a pretty character-sensitive moment and you rarely miss posts, so I decided to wait.

Did Luca mention the stone?
Also the sickness is part of the haemothurge prestige class, T only has the starter feast for note. But just playing it to given the extreme conditions.

(B) expedition to dig out the thing with the reagants
(C) head off to the undead infested city in the south west
(D) have a holiday

Outsider

Hah! yes, yes indeed it does. So either we need to edit Dante's reveal, or just retcon it that you told Dante where the stone was. :) (or any other option you think of).

-3 int M Human Human Male Wizard(Enhancement) 5, HP:20/21 CS 20/25 | AC:12(16) | FF:10 | T:12 | CMB 1 | CMD 13 | Fort:+1 | Ref:+3 | Will:+4 | Initiative:+2, Perception:+0 Speed:20| Enh 4/8

Dante, how do you want to play this? Tyrus wasn't worried about you finding the stone, but he hid is from Luca - or more accurately the monstrous things that stare out her eyes.
Could be a duplicate (yay Crafter's Fortune, I guess) or he could be guarding it and decide to trust Naswel.
Tyrus, of course, wants to study it in solitude.

Human Male Magus (Bladebound) 4 | HP: 34/34 | AC:16 [21] | FF:13 | T:13 | CMB +3 | CMD 16 | Fort:+5 | Ref:+4 | Will:+4 | Initiative:+4, Perception:+2 Speed:30 | AP 4/4 | BBP 2/2 | 1st 4/4 | 2nd 1/2 | World Weariness 22 (-2 Charisma)

As much as he trusts Tyrus, he would be uncomfortable with any of them keeping it. Naswel probably has the knowledge and means to better protect himself and the stone. But he doesn't need to know that. Bet it would sell for a lot.

@Mercy: could you put a link to the wiki in the campaign description, please? I know it exists somewhere... trying to look up the city name.

I'm not sure Luca would enjoy it, but an undead-infested city might be fun.

(I sometimes worry that our group is a little too shy and... mmm... non-adventurer-y. XD The GM's fun is important, too, and if he's bothered to make some areas for us in his world, I'd like to explore them and make that effort worthwhile.)

Outsider

I create worlds for fun. You guys go where YOU think your characters would/should go. I'll have my fun telling you what you find when you get there. ;)

And sure, Tyrus: blog/wiki link going into the description now. Though there isn't actually a post about that city up on there yet. I've reprinted the info I put into a post awhile back here.

"The city in the jungle is called Keldradt, and is itself a sovereign city which no nation claims. It is the last deep water port for ships traveling west until they arrive to the nation of Orlen. Its population and overall wealth is modest despite that, for several reasons: there is not, in point of fact, a lot of traffic that travels the south coast of Ottrunval; the jungles that form most of its borders are hostile, full of orcs and worse things; it is built upon the outskirts of an ancient elven city that was decimated in their old war with the dwarves. That city is very certainly haunted by all sorts of nasty things: undead, dormant magics, etc etc. For this reason above all others, the city is guarded and in part governed by an interesting religious sect: a joined cult of the dwarven Goddess Brigga, Patron of Commerce, and Felathren, a goddess beloved especially of the elves. Together these groups keep the city safe for travelers, traders, and adventurers (as well as all the boring regular folk who call the city home) and also wage war on the evils growing within the ruins, hoping to keep them in check."

Thanks!
Keldradt! That's the one.

I can see Tyrus being interested in the old magics in the ancient elven city on the ourskirts.
I can see Luca being interested in seeking a cure.
I can see Dante being interested in killing evil.

What do you think?
