Hopefully all of that is correct. If its not let me know so I can change it. If all you have beside your name is ‘Posting time, and XP preference’ your character is complete I am just asking what you prefer for those. If you don’t care you don’t need to answer.

A bit of a repeat section here on how I plan to make selections, but its good to be reminded. In the first post I mentioned that I am selecting six players, two of which will be new to PbP. My steps for selection are going to be:

1 – Pick 2 new players, short list up to 4 more (party of 6 possibly)
2 – Shortlist 6 non-new player submissions
3 – Try my damedest to get over my grief of all the good submissions I’ve passed up
4 – Sort out a somewhat balanced party from the shortlisted entries
5 – Tell all of you

Step 3 will be repeated as necessary. Just wanted to let you guys know how its going to work for transparency reasons.

The last item, for the last time, my time and your time.

Character submission ends at 23:59 on September 16th. For any people still thinking of submitting good luck to you.

I have started reviewing characters as of the evening of September 13th for final selection. This is because of my busy weekend and wanting to get the selection public as quick as possible, for your benefit (suspense is over rated in recruitment in my opinion). That being said you have all given me much to agonize over, the field was strong here.

I will be putting up a final list of all submitted characters, as well as those selected by September 19th as per the original post. For those of you picked, I will need you to dot into the discussion thread by the end of the 20th so I know that attendance is full. I will be posting the first game post on the 21st still.

And once again, a thank you to everyone for their submissions. I know how much work goes into them, especially with rules changes to take into account. Good luck to everyone and may by draw out of a hat method of picking satisfy us all!

Yeah, I very much agree with Claustipher. If I ever GM a PbP game, I will definitely be using this thread as a model for how to do a recruitment well.

Some of you may currently think I messed up or can’t count. However, what actually happened is I decided to accept 8 characters. PbP is a great medium for larger numbers of people, and since I was going to have to alter stuff anyway for 6 characters, its not that much extra work to account for 8.

I would like to ask the 8 selected to dot into the discussion thread. If you do not want to play in a game with 8 PCs then please let me know here, in the discussion thread, or via PM as I will need to ask another person to step in.

Thanks to everyone for submitting a character, there were many good characters and its taken me about 8 revisions and many angsty moments to pare it down to 8. I honestly could not have cut it down to 6. I will be keeping the submissions list I have to draw upon replacements if I need to. If there is a need to replace any characters, even later in the game, I will be asking people from that list first and not making a second recruitment thread. You guys put in a lot of effort already, and even though I can’t ask you to join now, you deserves at least the small amount of respect of being asked first later

Well a little disappointed that I did not make the list, it looks like you have a great group! Have fun, especially you new players, and hopefully at some point I might make it into this adventure!
