Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

Sorry about that, but it's better that get caught now than later. Fencing can be your first gift.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Well we can run it like we have been and let people freely misinterpret your statements if you really want to keep Fencing. I'm cool with that. Or format your statements and then cut out words to make "halting" Calabrese.

Or just take the language Gift and I'll give you Fencing once we hit the Goal. Or vice versa. Either way it won't be a problem much longer! Your character build looks fine to me, fits the character and your previous statements.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Are we ready to advance? Should I just bump us along to entering the city/camping in the forest?

Male Wolf

Obviously something in my brain made me leave something out. It should read,

'Otherwise, I get to hunt you down. You won't like that.' Ceallach stares evilly at the bird.

'I will. You won't.'

Like that.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Understood. Still...bump? If I see nothing here saying otherwise in a few hours, I'll bump us along to the city to keep things moving.

Tiger Taoist, Sworddancer

CS updated then. I posted but I am ready to go to the city.

Female Bat : Star Elementalist

Ready to move on too.

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

Certainly ready. Unless I could get a feather for Delroy's hat, though Sparrows are so plain.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

OK. Gonna whip up something here. Meant to do that yesterday but got wrapped up in a giant IRC chat gamey-thing-sort-of-doohickey.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

And by "demand a mediator," I of course mean a Brehon.

Female Weasel Dilettante

I apologize, folks, I've had just a nasty bit of life come up and sock me between the eyes. The majority of it is over now. My posting will probably remain a bit irregular over the next week or so but after that things should settle down.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Hope everything starts looking up for ya then!

And in uvver news, replacement player six should be joining us soon, and can post here in Discussion whenever they feel like it!

Also, I swear we'll have combat soon, really! This would feel a lot shorter live I think, but I also tried to take time for social and mental activities first so everyone could get a feel for each other's characters and personalities.

So there'll be fighting soon...or not quite as soon depending on how this next bit goes.

Male Wolf

Worry not, despite the fact that Ceallach is a combat character, I've actually enjoyed doing some pure roleplaying with him. It's helped me set his personality.

Female Weasel Dilettante

Typing this on my phone now that I found the website. :6

After all that, just as I got back, my computer has gone kaboom. I will be absentish probably the next several days until it is fixed except when my hubby is home and I can steal his work laptop.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Sad day! No computer is sad! :(

On one hand you shouldn't worry too much because soonish our new player will arrive...but on the other hand it's hard to do introduction posts on a phone. HMMMMMMMM.

Female Weasel Dilettante

I will have a laptop for a little while in the evenings. But you have seen me, I am wordy and longwinded. :( Phone does not cut it

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

And this looks like a great opportunity for Javiera to suddenly be standing in front of the door ready to knock or barge in as per her appropriate idiom.

Female Red Fox

Barging in sounds rude, knocking might be my best choice then :)

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Well, I think Ceallach just opened the door, but sure why not?

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Howdy everybody! We having fun? Confused? Not sure how to respond to the new arrival? Just wondering since I haven't seen anything new since Monday.

AKA: What can I do to make sure the game hasn't spontaneously combusted?

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

I was having a hard time figuring out what we opened a door to. An Inn?

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

The door FROM an inn, actually. It's a bit weird since there wasn't anything spelled out about movement, but I figure it works best if the conversation was moving toward the inn's exit, and when Ceallach opened the front door Javiera was standing there about to enter.

Female Weasel Dilettante

My apologies folks, I have ahd to take on a second job and my schedule has been horrifically disrupted.
I will post something tomorrow morning. :)

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

@GM: Thanks for the head's up.
@Rosza: I hope you don't wear yourself out. Best of luck.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Two jobs can be a backbreaker! Like Delroy said, hope you don't wear yourself out, and hopefully the lean times can be alleviated for all of us someday.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Doing my semi-regular check in thang. I know circumstances have prevented a few people from posting regularly, but I'd like to know what's up with everyone else too.

Tiger Taoist, Sworddancer

I am here but I can't think of anything in-character, I could break character I guess, but I would really rather not, I don't think it would help anyway.

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

I'm here and ready. Feeling like I'm in the same boat as Quinn.

Tiger Taoist, Sworddancer

Matter of fact, only three of us posted since the newcomer posted. But I have been inspired to move this forward but it still needs someone else to respond, Quinn has no idea where to go or who to talk to.

Female Bat : Star Elementalist

I can't really think of anything to say either.
A stranger whom I don't know has walked into an inn where I am currently at. There is no connection between us, no way to tell they are supposed to be part of the group, and nothing to indicate I should know her.
I don't know what to do.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

I was afraid of that. :(

And I gave Javiera that nice big spoiler full of reasons she would be helpful, nay indispensable to you guys. I'll have to ping her in her other game and see what's up. Although today's her birthday so we're not likely to see anything...maybe if I wheedle extra hard.

If nothing else I can jump the fast forward train if everyone's cool with assuming things happened and we just wanna get moving. Sorry about all dis.

Tiger Taoist, Sworddancer

Not your fault GM, I think there are plenty of things someone could say, I didn't only because Quinn is taking a wait and see "how the locals handle it" approach.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

OK, finally got ahold of Javiera. Turns out she's been on a trip post-birthday, and will be back in the swing on Saturday. So she's not dead or a no-show, YEY!

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Bear with me please, trying to hash out some world/RP details with Javiera so her entrance will go as smoothly as possible and work the way I intended it to.

And then soon there will be bandit fighting, and this adventure will finally be DONE.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

*crickets*

Did...did I kill the game? :(

Tiger Taoist, Sworddancer

sorry life has gotten busy recently, with two writing intensive classes (wish I saw that coming) two jobs and interviews for a better job.

Female Bat : Star Elementalist

Still waiting for some reason to speak, or to do something.
I'm very patient. So, as far as I'm concerned, the game is still quiet alive.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Ah. Well...I'll remember that in future. I'm used to standard operating procedure being "if they don't say anything for a long time, they've probably dropped out."

Also used to players chiming in uselessly with their bit all the time too, so grain of salt.

Nonetheless, Javiera has attempted to engage the group (she has helpful info and connections), hopefully we can do this intro quickly and efficiently and fun-ly so I can move things right along.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Right, I finally couldn't take it anymore and had the time to actually formulate a decent description for the move-on at the same time!

Holy SHIT, is that PROGRESSION?! HAPPENING IN MY GAME?!

Yes Johnny, that's the plot advancing, don't be scared, it won't hurt you.

Anyway...here's your opportunity to dig deeper into what the hell's going on...assuming anyone remembers what's going on lol.

Ima PM people I haven't seen in awhile and make sure they know the game's not dead. It was just...sleeping.

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

Okay, I am glad i checked the game out, and actually went into the boards rather than rely in the activity notifications.

I'm still in. Catching up now.

Edit: Not much for Delroy to do/say, just yet, and I'm on a crappy laptop that registers about half the spaces I type, so when I get back in town, (out of state until late sunday) I'll try and get right back into the swing of things and try to figure out how to make the game notify me of activity again.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Well...if you hit the Focus button on the main messageboard page it should show you all threads you post in as long as there's been an update in the last two weeks or so

Other thatn that, no clue..

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

It seems to be working again, I've been checking this place once a day and I can't believe I missed so much. Here's to it not happening again.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Yeah, that happens sometimes.

OTOH, sometimes nothing happens quickly, like now. Speaking of which, I'm still minus one response from Ms. de Vieuxpont on her status. This saddens me because I was having lots of fun playing her foil. As it is, we'll continue with whoever we've got.

EDIT: This means that people should probably think of ways they could respond to things that they might not normally react to, in the interest of game being...alive I guess?

Do I need to jumpstart anyone? Or perhaps offer a minor/medium/major incentive to keep posting? I like offering posting incentives.

How about everyone who gets us moving to the last scene of this shindig gets a HUGE chunk of XP?

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

The roll was for observing, to see if there were people waiting to ambush us. As for being the expected talker, That's no problem. Delroy was making sure he's not overstepping himself with the nobles around. If he's chosen as the spokesperson, that's fine by me. :)

Female Bat : Star Elementalist

Natalia is going to zap the poor rabbit unless someone stops her (grabbing her, etc).
She is a little sensitive about her lack of hight and femine curves, and the rabbit just set her off.
Of course, if you want to see our guide zapped, leave her alone.

Female Bat : Star Elementalist

UltraFennec,
Natalia isn't bothered by the lack of noble address, she does expect that.
But the remark about being a child, that is another story. There are some things that will set her off, and being called a child is one of them.

Male Raccoon: d6 Witch Finder: d6

I for one totally understand.

Delroy has his own sense of pride. :)

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Was waiting on Ceallach to do something with the rabbit, but I think since he just had the spotlight a bit ago he'll forgive me for putting the next scene up tomorrow.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Scene coming later today. Tried to push something out this morning, didn't work, not gonna force it. Always feels creatively stifled then.

Male Hooman Utter Fool/4

Just to warn people, we're most likely about to dish out some KOMBAT TIME here. Hopefully the scene I set will not be confusing, but mapping software and I don't seem to get along these days. I'll do my best to set a scene that is easily visualized but cool as well.

Also also, don't worry about people that haven't posted in a long time or anything. I've decided they probably didn't even end up in the Cutach with you through whatever vagary of chance came through the city, but I'm powering ahead with whoever keeps posting and thus displays interest. (Obviously I was in the "not posting" camp for awhile, and for which I'm sorry deeply, because I like this game.) So uh...just assume that Rosza and her gang are indisposed for whatever reason. And...possibly the Paladin who I can't seem to get ahold of.
