I'll be in Canada the 4th-9th. I should have internet and manage at least a post a day but will likely be a bit slower than normal.
GM Ahayzo |
Dromer, feel free to adjust your turn as you wish. Nothing has happened since, so I won't ask you to stick to a turn that was based on my mistake if you don't want to.
Dromer Greyskin |
It's all good =). Let's kill this thing!
I don't know if anyone's noticed, but ever since the very first fight Dromer always starts a battle fighting defensively. He'll move around, set up a flank, attempt a Knowledge check and otherwise do things thoughtfully. I figure that's how a 16 Int fighter type would begin a battle.
It's only after he or another party member gets hurt that he lets down his defenses and flies into a Rage.
So this fight was similar enough in that regard to not need to be rewound. First round - protect the group and/or myself, second round - someone gets hurt, third round - murder death kill.
GM Ahayzo |
Sorry everyone, got caught up in a weekend long event and didn't get a chance to hit any of my PbPs. I'll update after work in a few housr. Just a note of where we are, I'll bot Miranda, followed by me and then the party again.

Interesting rat fact of the day: Rats have been proven to make a laughter-like noise (unable to be heard by the human ear alone) when tickled or playing.
Dromer Greyskin |
Lootz
2 mwk short sword
1 cloak of resistance +1
1 javelin
40 gp
I think I'm the only one who's proficient with the shortswords, but they're not something Dromer would use, so sell them? That can be some decent coin.
Forlen benefits more from the javelin with his 18 Strength. Unless it's not your style, then I can take it. It's too big for Iantha.
Lottery for the cloak?
Forlen Watersoul |
I'm not profcient with javelins either. I do have some shortspears to throw, though, so no worry.
Selling the short swords is about 50 gold for each of us, that sounds okay.
Lottery for the cloak sounds fine.
GM Ahayzo |
No problem Dromer. As much as I acted otherwise in high school and college, education and work definitely come first!
Pirate Rob |
So my life has improved to a 50% uptime today.
It's been raining a bunch recently. The big street close to me has all it's wiring underground so as to not mar the skyline.
One such bit of wiring is an internet junction. It's been raining quite a bit, apparently the bit of sewer it resides in is 15ft deep and was completely flooded with water. They think whoever worked on it last failed to seal it properly, and the box is full of water.
They have to wait until it stops raining before they can pump it out and go work on it.
Today the sun is out and I have some internet, so I suspect it's drained a bit on its own and is now only wet rather than completely flooded. They haven't fixed it yet though.
The improved situation is 3minutes of uptime, 3 minutes of downtime.
Frustrating, but good enough for pbps when I remember to copy and paste.
Iantha Narili |
That really sucks. Hope it all gets better soon.
Altough lack of proper water infrastructure is a bit baffling for me. But half my country is below sea level, so we kinda have to.
Pirate Rob |
Well, they've fixed the wires and patched the box, they say they are going to go back underground sometime in the next 2 weeks because the box needs replacing.
So if it rains againbefore then will their patch hold, will I still have internet? Find out next episode, same Pirate time, same Pirate channel
Miranda Andegar |
In preparation for the holidays:
I'll be unavailable a good chunk of time on each day between December 23rd and the 28th. I'll try to post as often as possible, but feel free to bot me if the games are moving quickly despite the holiday.
Andrew L Klein |
Wow, came back first chance since last posting to storytime!
If people want to, we can call till after New Year's weekend. Gets us past Nefreet and Miranda's scheduling, and Rob's connection should hopefully be back to regular uptime. Scheduling isn't a problem for me these next two weeks so it's up to you guys.
GM Ahayzo |
Sounds good. Right now I have one for the eastern door. If there isn't any other plan when I check in tomorrow I'll move that direction.
GM Ahayzo |
Man, just trying to open the Season 5 page to see if I own most of it is rough. Dark times are upon us... Paizo really knows how to bundle

I think we wanted to fully search this room in hopes of finding supplies to help bring our unconscious friend out through the poison lake.
Miranda Andegar |
I mean, I am still very much enjoying the characters, but we've definitely slowed significantly. I will accept the will of the group either way, but I would prefer we push ahead and try harder to post more.
Forlen Watersoul |
I feel the same way. I haven't posted as much as whenever I go check up here (at least once a day), others have beaten me to the punch. I'm not sure if the GM's too busy to regularly check up, but progress feels slower than it should be. In a different PbP, our GM fast-forwarded to the next room whenever he felt like we haven't been progressing.
Again, GM, I'm not sure if you're just too busy with real life, but one or two posts a week doesn't feel like it's enough.
I didn't intend for this to sound too harsh. If I did, I'm sorry. Don't take this as a critique, more as a room for improvement.
Dromer Greyskin |
It's our GM's first time running PbP. My first time GMing PbP was just a Module, and I couldn't maintain it, either. It's tougher than just being a more active player.
Plus the cycling out of players can be demoralizing (which I recognize I contributed to).
One minor suggestion going forward would be to use Google Slides for maps rather than Google Drawing. For some reason I can't modify my miniature from Google Drawing when I'm on my phone, but I can from Google Slides. That has the mental effect on me of needing to be home at my computer in order to post updates, which limits my activity.
But player wise there've been many instances where it was just a couple players posting, too, and when only a half the group is being regular, everyone can lose interest.
