So, I can find/disable technological traps and non-magical traps. We don’t necessarily have to get a trapfinder, but we should get someone else. I would say someone a bit beefy who can engage in melee, if we can. Recruitment is up to Daniel, though.

Alas, I do not. My skills are a pretty limiting list in comparison to others. I only have Kn: Nature as a class skill and did not take it. Ranek isn't a learned man so much as he has traveled quite a bit. He should be able to get past most physical challenges though (climbing, swimming, what have you).

Ok so have chased Amon but no reply. I noticed he last posted on the 13th August.

I've also chased Ranek last posted on 6 september. Waiting a reply from him.

Think at the moment we should assume that Amon has left the campaign. I'll leave his character on if he changes his mind but won't bot/run him.

So question is should we recruit another player/s to replace him?

I think opening recruitment would be a good move. Only one of my games so far has come through with EVERY player reporting in after that awful stretch.

If we open it we can call for one and take two or more if we need.

Hey guys! I am here but I don't know if I'll continue being a good fit. I am very used to block initiative here on the forums, makes it a bit easier to post. I'd have post in the past but each time I finally had a chance to, I'd already been skipped. My new job has picked up in hours too so while I hate to leave, especially when I finally have a chance to play a barbarian, it may be best so you guys can get someone more regular for what you need.

Maybe Daniel could switch to block initiative? We’d hate to lose you. If you really think you can’t post once per day, it makes sense, but I think Daniel is pretty low maintenance and doesn’t mind if you miss posting once in a while.


If someone could tell me how to do block initiative happy to do it.


It's when you let a block of players go at once. Technically people still can do this all they have to do is:

The issue I have with block is, it doesn't speed up the game and can sometimes cause annoyance to players who want to set up flanks and do things based on what the other players do. Players will still post at the rate they post.

Well I could maybe do a form of block initiative if people want.

Usually, in those situations with flanks and whatnot, I've seen some DMs set it up as the situation moves with whatever is most favorable to the players. So if the rogue and the fighter move along up the same enemy, it assumes that the rogue arrives there after the fighter is there so the flank can happen.


Ok we'll give it a try for the next combat.

Hey there everyone. I'm so sorry for the terrible silence over on my end here, I usually pride myself on my communication skills. This past week though has been probably one of the hardest weeks I've had and been a huge eye-opener for me about the state of my mental health. For that reason, I've decided that I'm going to back off away from online gaming at the moment and focus on taking care of myself.

It has been an absolute pleasure to play and I apologize for the inconvenience of all of this. With that said though, I think it'd be best for me to resign, maintain good relationships with folks, and maybe try coming back once everything is figured out. Thank you guys for having me and I do hope your adventuring goes superbly.

Daniel, let us know about HP and retraining when you can. I’d like to switch mindchemist for toxicant. I know there’s supposed to be lots of constructs, but I didn’t realize the cognatogen actually does strength damage after it wears off! I’ll be incapacitated before too long if I stick with it. At level up seems like the best time to switch, but I can also wait until town and try to follow the retraining rules if you want.
