male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

From the feeling side of things, it doesn't feel very solid, but it does have substance (so its not incorporeal) but it feels like hitting sand or mud

By Sarenrae, you shall be defeated. Uriel states as he calls upon his goddess' power and continues to strike with his scimitar.

Spoiler:

swift: smite evil v the being: hopefully it meets one of the special conditions
Paladin Smite Evil 1/day: Swift action to choose one target within sight to smite. If evil adds +2 (Cha) to hit and +3 (Pal lvl) to damage against the target. The damage bonus is +6 (2x lvl) vs. Outsiders with the evil subtype, evil dragons, and undead. Automatically bypasses targets DR. Also gains +2 (Cha) deflection bonus to AC vs target of smite.

Ian's first attack misses by an inch but the second lands true, the reverse being for Uriel's attacks, the creature seems to take notice a lot more of Uriel's second set of attacks. It retaliates by gathering a ball of dark energy in one of its hands
concentration check for casting defensively
1d20 + 24 ⇒ (7) + 24 = 31

if it hits, uriel take a will save and suffer:

The worm dissapears under the ground leaving a large creater where it used to be

Cheliax

Unfortunatly both attacks miss...

Uriel shrugs off the creature's draining touch.

Uriel carefully re-evaluates his enemy and strikes again in a howl of rage.

mechanics:

will save for 1/2 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
What is DC?

swift action: ranger's focus
Ranger (Guide) Focus 1/day: Swift action to choose focus target and it remains so until reduced to 0 or fewer hit points or Uriel changes focus. Gains +2 to attack and damage against target.

Still in effect: paladin's smite
Paladin Smite Evil 1/day: Swift action to choose one target within sight to smite. If evil adds +2 (Cha) to hit and +2 (Pal lvl) to damage against the target. The damage bonus is +4 (2x lvl) vs. Outsiders with the evil subtype, evil dragons, and undead. Automatically bypasses targets DR. Also gains +2 (Cha) deflection bonus to AC vs target of smite.

As a player, I am still unsure as to whether or not to add the additional damage (+6 as opposed to +3) It would make things easier to receive a clarification on that, thanks.

full attack with +1 scimitar
+16/+11 damage 1d6+9 or (1d6+12)

Uriel

Spoiler:
yea you pass, DC was 17, as for the damage, its only +3 since the creature is not an outsider, dragon or undead

male half elf level 1 ranger(horselord)/summoner level 2 cavailer/druid level 3 ranger(horselord) /cleric level 4 fighter(mounted fury)/bard level 5 gunslinger/rouge(scout) level 6 cavalier/summoner level 7 ranger/ summoner

I am waiting to see if Uriels attacks hit.

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Yes both of Uriel's attack hit dealing a good amount of damage

whose turn is it?

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

I think its the NPCs turn

The hooded creature withdraws 15ft back only for the giant worm to come up from underneath both you, roll a reflex save to avoid getting knocked prone

Cheliax

First attack hits and deals some damage, second fails to connect

Seeing the hooded creature as the greater threat, Uriel risks the worm's maw to move and attack the it.

"it" being the hooded creature

mechanics:

hopefully, Uriel doesn't get stopped along the way. :(

move action: move to attack the hooded creature.

Uriel you may wish to do an acrobatics check to avoid AoO...

ha! for the heck of it...

1d20 - 6 ⇒ (12) - 6 = 6

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Well that just isn't high enough to avoid the AoO...

The worm bites at Uriel (the AoO)
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40
and damage
4d8 + 10 ⇒ (5, 8, 4, 8) + 10 = 35

Ian says "URiel"

I'm still standing Uriel says with a shrug after taking the hit from the worm's maw.

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Oh i should've noted that Uriel did manage to hit the hooded creature...

The hooded creature tries to drink a potion (which i think allows Uriel to make an attack of opportunity)

The worm attack Iam with a bite
1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 40

4d8 + 10 ⇒ (5, 5, 7, 3) + 10 = 30

Ian says "ow."
then tries to hit the worm back hard with his lance.
First attack is destructoin domain power

1d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Uriel seizes the opening to attack the creature as it tries to drink its potion.

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Right, Uriel manages to kill the creature, removing the part of its body that should be its head with a single hit, seeing its master die the worm digs deep into the ground

Uriel sheathes his scimitar and steadies Bugler. Next he speaks loudly and clearly to the crowd.

Show me to the wounded so that I may heal them.

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Most of the wounded are dead, but a small group of villegers gathers, about a dozen who got injured by their house collapsing on them and the like

male half elf level 1 ranger(horselord)/summoner level 2 cavailer/druid level 3 ranger(horselord) /cleric level 4 fighter(mounted fury)/bard level 5 gunslinger/rouge(scout) level 6 cavalier/summoner level 7 ranger/ summoner

Ian says "I hope the worm does not come back"

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

you two should probably make a perception check for that

male half elf level 1 ranger(horselord)/summoner level 2 cavailer/druid level 3 ranger(horselord) /cleric level 4 fighter(mounted fury)/bard level 5 gunslinger/rouge(scout) level 6 cavalier/summoner level 7 ranger/ summoner

Cheliax

Spoiler:
the worm isn't gone, and its headed for the centre of town

Ian with a shocked look on his face says "It is headed for the center of town."

perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Once back in combat, Uriel will be restricted to celestial. I mistakenly spoke out in the previous battle when moving away from the worm to attack the hooded creature

Everyone take cover! The worm is returning! Uriel barks as he heeds Ian's words. After that, Uriel says a short prayer to Sarenrae and begins moving toward the middle of town.

Ian says "I think it will emerge from the gorund soon."

assuming there is a "safe" spot away from others, Uriel drops an alchemist's bomb in hopes of drawing it out or scaring it away. Bombs should do wonders for tremorsense...

Uriel pulls out an alchemist's bomb and throws it a short distance away.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

The ground shakes and then it goes quiet for a second, before a house near to where the bomb went off, collapses as the worm bursts from the ground

do I have room to ride by attack it there?

Cheliax

male wraith biomedical scientist lv5/ film director lv3

Yes but you'd have to pass a ride test to get your mount through the wreckage and a charge

male half elf level 1 ranger(horselord)/summoner level 2 cavailer/druid level 3 ranger(horselord) /cleric level 4 fighter(mounted fury)/bard level 5 gunslinger/rouge(scout) level 6 cavalier/summoner level 7 ranger/ summoner
