Ian looks into the darkness of the cave moves of to the side of the cave a few feet back if possible then conducts a quick act of summoning a dog, a huskie celestial riding dog, to go in front of the cave and lure the monster out of the cave.

Ian has the huskie slowly walk up a little closer and try to get off with some of the fish bones on the outside of the cave and see if there is any fish left on them.


Uriel prepares his revolver and peers down into the cave with his darkvision.

Be ready. I fear something is afoul here. I would hate to jump too early to attack and kill a poor villager who has suffered from some monstrous plague malady. There have been many strange ones in the past here.

Ian urges the rest of the party to the side of the cave opening while he then gets the huskie to bark from in front of the cave.


Kulthar will follow Ian's lead and urge Blade to be just out of sight of the cave entrance. Kulthar readies his musket for what may come out of the cave.

Uriel carefully moves to the side of the cave entrance and remains quiet with his scimitar in hand.

As you move just out of sight of the cave's entrance you start to hear the screams for help of a little child coming from inside the cave.


Cursing himself for being so foolish as to not look for evil on the creature, Uriel immediately charges through the cave entrance looking for both the signs of screaming and a threat.

Stupid me, forgetting detect evil. But, if the fish creature is the only thing he sees, he does not immediately attack. Still slightly paranoid that it is the creature screaming...

Cursing in dwarven, Kulthar quickly dismounts Blade and runs just far enough in to see what is happening. Lifting his Musket to his shoulder he takes aim.

Are we in initiative now? Will there be a map?

The fish creature sinks 5ft into the water and drags the child in with it


Uriel curses and begins tromping through the mud and water toward the creature.

diagonal (up and to left) five feet, left five feet, and then left into the water five feet. (5+5+10=20). Then, left ten more feet. Double move.


Is the boy still visible above the water? Or did the creature pull him under? Makes a difference for what I do.

Kulthar throws a handful of glittering dust at the creature, but the dust falls straight throw the creature into the water, the husky barks and gets close to the creature. the creature it self produces a large a large shiny pattern that hypnotises the husky and starts to warp Uriel's mind Uriel roll a will save

Uriel confidently strides toward the crature and the boy.

Then Uriel focuses on the source of his anger and takes a mighty swing at the appendage the creature is using to hold the boy.

mechanics:

Movement action: Move one space diagonally up and to the left. Move left one space.

That should put Uriel directly beneath the boy on the map and able to attack the arm holding the boy. I hope that I don't get hit by an AoO.

swift action: ranger's focus

Standard action: scimitar 1d20+11+2 (ranger's focus) damage 1d6+4+2/(18-20)

The creature blinks with its 3 eyes, and the entrance of the cave suddenly get blocked by a large stone wall, shortly after the fish creature disappears, Uriel your up


Uriel glares in the direction of the creature in case the illusion is covering the true culprit and begins to search for whatever evil is responsible for this.

mechanics:

Detect evil at will, as the spell

Move action: detect evil as if studied for three rounds as a move action but it is limited to one object...

1st Round: Presence or absence of evil.

2nd Round: Number of evil auras (creatures, objects, or spells) in the area and the power of the most potent evil aura present.

If you are of good alignment, and the strongest evil aura's power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura's source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends.

3rd Round: The power and location of each aura. If an aura is outside your line of sight, then you discern its direction but not its exact location.

Uriel does not have an object to choose, so he is using the full round action to study this round (obtaining #1) instead of singling out one object to study with a move action..

The horses outside have sense and Seket is watching them and for intruders. So, hopefully they will notice if the intruder used the wall as a cover to escape.
