Shalina's used her rage 11 rounds today. Which brings me to my next question...what time of day is it?


I'd say...mid afternoon? Hard to tell inside a windows-less magical tower.

I don't suppose there are two industrial sized cables feeding into the console that can be yanked out to use as jumper cables? Although that would probably trigger the 'door' and then she's trapped without air in a enclosed space with something that doesn't need air.

How far is the console away from the 'rib'?

The plan would be to get it into the space close to the console, push it into it, then jump out before the barrier goes out. Would Shalina's expert leaper get her out before the barrier activates?

I just don't know what kind of rolls to make for this...disable device, acrobatics, CMB? Are there teamwork bonuses for the three of us to work together?


As far as I understand...

Bullrushing the golem into the console would be a Bullrush Combat Maneuver. That might be a tough roll, since construct's usually have good Combat Manuver Defense.

Jumping out would be Acrobatics (which you would make easily).

I'll add a Reflex save DC 20 to make it out before the Force Wall traps you inside. It would be a trap so your Trap Sense and such would count for it.

DO disable device or anything required, assuming you make the Reflex Save.

If Tekk or Berd help you, they would have to make the same saves which would be harder for them.

Is that clear?

Ok, so bullrushing is out. What about tripping it so it falls into the console?

Or will the disable device roll allow Shalina to electrocute it?


Tripping is the same roll as Bullrush. Maybe you could unbalance it somehow before making the roll, which would make it easier?

Disable Device would work but would take too long, doubly since Shalina isn't familiar with electronics.

I was thinking more like using a rope to trip it, not making a CMB (unless that still counts) and grease spell on the ground to destabilize it.

Tekk and Berd on either side of the 'rib'with rope on ground and them holding each end. Shalina acts as bait for the construct to come into the room. She casts grease on floor and Tekk/Berd tighten rope to about a foot off the ground to trip it when it starts sliding. They exit room, Construct falls into console (Shalina maybe gives it a push as it falls to make sure it falls into panel) and then she leaps out of room.

Would that work?


Not a bad plan...

You'll still need to Bullrush the construct to make sure it hits the console. But greased and tripped, that will be much easier. (+10 to your CMD)

I did mess up,t he construct should have got an AoO on you. Mind if I roll that and you add the damage? Bit ret-cony, I know, but it is more accurate.

Construct AoO: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32

Damage: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (8, 3) + 5 = 16

I've been very bad at tracking resources. So I'll be adding stuff to her gear shortly. I wish I'd remembered about the decoy ring sooner. If activated, would the glass golem have hit her with the AoO?

By the way, if you do want to sleep you can overrule the NPCs. I don't want you to feel they were speaking for 'me'.

Do we have anyone on board that would fit any of those prereq's? I'm not sure anyone in our group can use exotic weapons and I'm pretty sure we don't have a siege master. It may be faster if you just roll it and we deal with the fall-out :) I don't know enough about naval combat rules to be effective on my end.


We will do things more theatrically then.

Besides, just board them and fight them hand to hand!

That's great to hear. It's always nice when someone echoes what you're thinking. This is one of my favorite games to play, if not my favorite. I think it's the only one where I'll actually post at work because I want to see what happens next.
