Hey! I totally have been checking the campaign. I'm still in!
Nedyr |
Mmm, some thoughts on this game, mostly Nedyr centric (Since, he is, you know, my character):
1) When we actually get to the assigned roles of rulership bit, I think Nedyr probably fits Magister best and it would be expected of him. Yet, ironically, as a witch, he'd probably push for other avenues of arcane power beside his own class. I mean, who wants to set up some sort of academy where you learn to make a secret pact with random cryptic beings for arcane power? :)
2) If not magister, by stats, he'd make a decent Grand Diplomat, Spy Master, or Treasurer... only the last would make him recoil in horror and he'd decline. I mean, the paper work and coin counting is soul crushing
3) He still has his personal missions.. the tower of the Rising Moon, for one. Where it is and what it is up to our new DM, but it could take some time.
4) Elven influences- While Nedyr has a weakness for human women, I think he'll encourage elven and half elven immigrants to move in. Elves, if I recall the setting, have lost (Some would say forfeited) many lands in their absence, and the idea of giving them more elbow room would delight Nedyr as it sure beats doing the same by conquest of a more brutal sort. Of course, with human, gnomes, and kobolds in the area, whatever kingdom that arises may still find elves outnumbered. Which I'm sure is just fine for many. At least we might get some neat oversized treehouses or something.
5) As he progresses in power, Nedyr may find small and great ways to use his magic power to add a bit of wonder to it. One thing I've always wondered about is how reincarnate could alter a game (Though 5th level (for witches) spells are a looooong way off). We could end up with formerly human citizens coming back as elves (or elves coming back as humans, but that's neither here nor there) or whatever and really muddle things more. Imagine the potential for fun (or abuse if you want to be all grumpy about it)
And that's an extreme situation. Why not continual light spells adorning buildings, and permanent illusions reenacting grand displays?
Could be awesome.

No I have been sick and haven't really posted. Hehe, Sounds Kinda good. Hella is in a unique position herself.
Though I thought Miri would probably love the King/Queen position, and if not that some where else of influence.
Heh, actually i have my own charts for reincarnate that can get kinda powerful but fun. You can turn into a whale so Its one of those we have to decide things.
And I agree some things the players could do without cost but we will tackle that when we get to it.
Oh I did talk to our former GM and they are happy this is still going and asked me to keep them apprised until they can come back! So I have the notes i need.

Oooo... hope you get better soon.

Hella as Spiritual Leader/High Priestess of the land could certainly lead to some unusual belief systems for generations to come if she wants the position.
I'm not sure whether Miri would be a terrifying tyrant or the best Queen ever ;)

Mmmm is there some offical reincarnate that increases your odds of choosing what they come back as?

Fantastic!

Hella seems very sensible, but arrives at her conclusions in a very different way than normal. She definitely prioritizes the needs of the group as a whole. That'll be good when kingdom-building time comes.
Aluxion will probably take High Priest. Erastil is a fantastic patron deity for small developing frontier kingdoms.
I like your plans for Nedyr.
I really need to reread the gameplay thread so I can remember what's going on and what our medium term goals are.

i love me some Hella, and Wolf, and her interactions with everyone. strangely enough if it comes to long term goals i sort of... well didnt have any really with Cerian *lawls* He could fit mutiple roles i guess.

I honestly haven't looked at the Kingmaker positions in ages, so I was super flattered by the suggestion of Miri as Lord High Dictator of the Restored River Kingdoms--- I mean, as your gentle, benevolent ruler. Thanks for the votes of confidence! I'm seriously grinning like an idiot, although if another position is more appropriate I'm flexible.
Love the idea of High Priest Aluxion. "Y'all folks need Erastil!"

I think that sums up about how I feel about Hella better than I could have worded it.

Yeah, Erastil has build a community all over it. It might discourage dancehalls, but hey ;)

I just realized I've been playing with a 19-point buy when we were supposed to have a 25-point buy. I think I just forgot to add my racial bonus to Charisma.
Currently my stat array is as follows:
- Str 11
- Dex 14
- Con 14
- Int 12
- Wis 10
- Cha 17
And this would be my array after pushing it to the 25-point buy.
- Str 11
- Dex 14
- Con 14
- Int 12
- Wis 10
- Cha 19
I'll make the changes to my stats in a day or so so that our new DM has a chance to verify.
