As Hackendar square fills with broken glass and screams, the party finds themselves surrounded by a panicked mob and thrust into a re-match against the same things that attacked their locomotive.
Current Fight: Remember that Mal is now boosting you with bardic song!
It's nice that with PbPs its much easier for people to do individual things or just derp around town without it really slowing down the game or affecting what the others are doing (usually) :)
Yep - as long as you get cohesive when you start 'adventuring', I'm not fussed about running multiple story-threads for people. It also gives me more to draw on later, which is nice for a more open-worldy sort of game.
You'll have to choose a single goal at some point though, or I'll run out of off-the-cuff NPC names! ;)
So, does anyone who was not gone for the last week want to collate all our little adventure options? I remember something about a hard-to-reach temple with goodies in it, we've got the whisper Geralt overheard (which would require some investigation to uncover the actual thing behind it, I imagine), and... what else?
Why don't we have everybody get back to the inn for meal or something, and we can either roleplay making a decision or just make it here and summarize it in-game.
I'm game for whatever we want to do; Joza latched on to the disappearing-reappearing people rumor because it's such an odd story but if properly nudged, she'd probably also be just as curious to learn more about the mysterious box and why those guys were willing to rob/destroy the train to stop it from arriving in town.
Geralt's immediate interest would be to investigate the events on the train. Everything after that would be more or less equal to the payment he's going to get.
Rav would want to figure out the train while he's looking for his bounty. He is rather cranky about people trying to kill him. He considers the train and the box to be the same mystery.
Okay guys, full disclosure time.
My recent posting has been erratic, at best, and I’m just writing this quick post to let you know why. It’s not that I’m dissatisfied with the games – they’re great, and I enjoy GMing for you. It’s just that my working life has become… a lot less fun than it was. One single co-worker is doing her best to make my life hell, including making accusations to my boss over my work ethic – completely unfounded, before anybody makes any snarky comments. ;)
She is just a terrible, terrible person – I’m not the only person in the area to have problems with her, just the latest in a long line, and it means that I’m heading out and drinking a lot more as well as trying to stay out of the office at work to avoid confrontations. Because of this, I’m simply spending less time at the computer – I’m sure as soon as things improve I’ll be back to regular updates, but I’m afraid I might be sketchy for a bit – at least until this either clears up or I just get used to having a hostile idiot trying to check me at every turn.
So there – full, unpleasant disclosure. Sorry guys – I hope it gets better.

Horrible co-workers making your life hell, I've been there too, it sucks. In my job, sometimes it is also stuck up managers, though I really can't say I've had co-workers make false accusations or managers, just ones that give me and everyone a hard time and try to look like the heroes.
Ugh... sorry for another big gap - but things are actually beginning to look up, and I've spent some time ensuring that I'll have free time over the next few weeks to relax - PBP. Expect a semi-regular update schedule again, just like the old days!
Barring a meteor strike, or something of that nature.
As long as you don't try any more blatant shenanigans! (or get caught in less-blatant ones, I suppose).
But yeah, I'm with ya. I've gotten into three campaigns so far and two were dead within the first 2-4 weeks. This one seems to be on the brink. Haven't even gotten a character to level 2 yet!

I said players, not characters, I understand this is all roleplay.
My character was proving a point that the man in the shop shouldn't be sleeping on the job, which Jack caught.

I had one that lasted a while. we started out with eight and ended up with 4 of us left by the end then it just ended. hope this one doesn't end up like that one. This one has been fun so far just wish it wasn't so hard to find some healing.
Eight? Yeesh, that's a gigantic group. I'm planning on GM'ing a campaign later this year and I'm planning on a group of three - four at the most. Of course, I like to eventually have my players roll up a second character to control, so the actual character list gets bigger than the player list.
