Paizo is notorious for that.

Ok, I have been going over this since the game ran into trouble the first time, and I think my approach to getting this game off the ground was poorly executed. Freeform sandbox go with the characters would seem to translate to pbp because it gives more time to adjust to curve balls, but I'm thinking it doesn't provide enough hook to keep a head of steam under my helmsmanship. I do not think a third round of recruitment is going to help matters.

For those who are still here, would it help if we ran a more traditional setup? Otherwise I am at that point where I will write this off as a bad go of it and try my hand at running again later.

Hello.

Common message for all the games I was participating in:

I know I vanished without warning. Trust me, it wasn't planned. My wife had a new medical condition flare up, and I've been going to work, doing my job, coming home, doing bothe her chores and mine, taking care of her because she's had extermely limited mobility, taking care of her service animal, covering chunks of time that she had pledged towards watching our grand-daughter, and then still trying to keep up with my existing Scouting obligations.

I was suddenly very busy.

She's been better the last couple of days, so I've built the time to craft this message and distribute it. Today she started having a reaction to the medication that was helping her be better, so that bodes poorly. She also has a procedure tomorrow that is part fo the continuum of care for her problem (as required by insurance companies), but her doctor doesn't think is actually going to address her cause. He said tha's another 3 procedures down the list, but the insurance won't approve him skipping down the list or trying multiple things in quick succession.

I want to apologize to everyone for the impact my real-life has had on your entertainment. You at least deserved to hear from me sooner, honestly.

Now you know why I vanished. And why I don't know if my availability is actually going to get any better in the short term or not.

So, I'm afraid out might work better for me for now.

No worries Naga. I will say prayers for you and yours tonight.

Out will work for me better too, since I mostly left Paizo forums - I only play the games I'm already in and won't apply in any new ones, at least in the foreseeable future.

Thanks for the game, it was fun it lasted.

Take care of you and yours. Honestly, contacting my games would be the last thing I'd worry about if my wife was ill.

FWIW, I work for a health insurance company. If your doctor requests a medical management review and lists out the reason why the 3 procedures will certainly not work, you might have a shot at getting them to skip in line. Insurance companies don't like spending money on things that will certainly not work.

It has been a pleasure everyone, but the outs have it. I wish you all luck in your future endeavors.

Sounds like I'm late to the party. Oh well, good luck everyone. Hope your wife gets better.
