Oopps, I was thinking Dorial had the child in the square next to Faith and the burst could be centered to get just the bat-lady, but if it's still a grapple then hold person will be the better choice.

I totally hosed Simon's damage in this combat and just found another error, so...
round 2: 7 damage from Faith (because Simon had charged that actually hit)
round 3: 15 from Faith, 3 from Satyr
round 4: 15 from Faith
so that's 40 damage total and Simon is at -3, now -4, so another 6 rounds to dying.
I had counted the damage from the Satyr as 16 (his attack roll, rather than the damage roll), but I left off the first hit from Faith that landed because of the charge. Bad hasty postings on my part, sorry.

Please let me know if you're down or not Simon. It matters to Kast's action, whether he sheds a tear for you or not. Or tries to save you.
Also waiting for Nimeon, because if he can get to and take down Faith, then Kast has more options.

I think maybe Simon has 7 hp, but not sure if he still needed the save against the fungal thorn attack and turned into an evil fey? GM, is Simon an evil fey, or just a bloody fool? (literally)
GM_Verdigris |
That's about where I had Simon, Simon. The thorn attack was an actual melee attack so if that would have missed, then no fungal fey for you... :)

We have reached the end of the In Search of Heroes play-by-post. As a group you have saved the town from several threats, and individually, you have made the lives better for many of the NPCs. Thank you all for playing with me. I had a great time and I hope you did too. I am happy to do clean up posts in your individual stories over the next week or so. I’ve really enjoyed those stories along with the regular portion of the adventure and want to make sure they get the closure they deserve.

...and I think I am done with Kast.
I want to thank GM Angry Ankheg again for having me along with y'all on this journey.
Hard to believe it's been over a year since our yahoos got together to get eaten by Cauldron, expose the scandalous underworld of lost Cheliaxian lovers, and defeat great evil within Falcon's Hollow.
I feel blessed to have such a great group and having the freedom to roleplay.
And GM AA, it's all because of you.
Thank you again.
