Uuzkhangr: since Handle Animal and Wild Empathy are intuitively linked, I'll say yes. Ruling that your trait lets you treat vermin as though they weren't mindless for the purposes of most skills, but not spells unless they would target vermin normally.

So would I roll Handle Animal or Wild Empathy? Technically these are domestic animals.

Basically I want to go in there and stabilize the dying bees if I can. But I don't want to get killed in the doing.

Just realized that power attack was not a legal feat for me at 1st level, since you have to have +1 BAB. GM: I will swap it out for Toughness if that's okay.

Alternatively, if Raleigh just has that stuff cached somewhere, as long as you mark off the appropriate gold we can assume you already had it somewhere. This would be an appropriate situation for your criminal contacts feat, remember to roll for how much time it take you.

Alas, Shizuru and other Tian deities don't have much presence in the Inner Sea region except in areas frequented by their traders--so the nearest would be in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, where the caravans come through the Crown of the World.

Also over by Jalmeray/Kortos but that's a long way to go.

For the record: before our visa ends my wife and I will be doing some traveling around Europe from June 19 to July 12. We'll have to take a three week break during that, but I promise we'll pick right up on the 13th.

Alright, so broadly speaking what is the plan? Posting inevitably gets slower over the weekend and I'll be departing on Monday, but it's good to have a general direction in case I need to prepare. Or just to make picking up the thread easier.

Info that you have uncovered:
-Tilos' employees were (very probably) drugged with Oil of Taggit
-House Deverin bankrolls/owns a lot of business ventures, including Tian Lung Fireworks and the Beast House
-Tilos has worked with Zilderban but is not doing so currently, and the gnome checked out of his room early this morning.
-House Deverin has no (declared) enemies and Tilos appears to believe there are no obvious suspects. Y'all may or may not disagree.

Generally speaking, what would the party like their next step(s) to be, once Tilos departs?

Those of us who have good Diplomacy and/or street-level contacts could canvass the town to try and find out if someone is gunning for Tilos or the Deverins that Tilos might not know about. That wouldn't be me though.

I wouldn't mind tracking down Zilderban as he is the one connected to the first event (the burst pipe & flood). If we can find some way that he is connected to the Honey Hut that would be a big clue.

Personally Uuzkhangr would also like to visit the Honey Hut himself and search for clues, assuming the Deverins will lend him a swarmsuit.
