Midioto looks a little shaken as the majority of the bugs are burnt and the last of them scatter, swatting at a few that remain. Content that Luca has the parties wellbeing looked after Midioto then decides that he had better port ahead and see if there are more coming.

the slime seems to be a magical thing, with some unique properties. Excatly how it works isn't clear, but it very well might be worth taking some samples. The slime seems kinda like the self replicating green slime on otune, but something about it seems different.

"I should have something here..." Even a minor bag of holding can contain many things - including here tools for crafting traps as a backup to a traveller's any-tool. One of these, a small sealed pitcher for transferring liquids, gets used to pick up some of the magic wall slime.

"I'd rather not put this out of sight for now if it's anything like green slime," he says, juggling items until torch and pitcher of slime are in the same hand. "if we were to retreat, what preparations would you take for facing the web-maker, Luca? Without more information there is little I would do. The smoke is another matter and may be something we have to live with for now in any case. Ventilation may be poor in this cave."

Luca shrinks slightly at the size of the bizarre matter-shifting creature before catching onto its conundrum. He stands up straight to his full 5' 8" with his hands up to try to ease the... thing. Before attempting to speak to it in three separate languages with the same ease he speaks common.

I mean the fact that you usually have to talk for at least a minute most of the time before you can roll Diplomacy to influence a creatures attitude. Im expecting that to stay, but it doesnt hurt to ask. Besides I name my shotguns Justice.

the creature keeps shifting at rapid paces, air, fire, water, earth, blinking between them every few seconds. It backs into the corner, and starts talking ignan, then aburptly switches to Terran, then Auran, then aquan, the languages switches happening abruptly whenever it changes to another form of elemental. Partway through it's talking, it grabs it's arm.

"Stay back! There's a spider, and, I can't... Nngh...I can't let you near. Stay back, or I'll... I'll... Ugh...

the elemental is leaning on the wall, in no condition to fight.
