Shadow Lodge

That's perfectly fine, but in that case, that DMPC character, cleric, I think he was, we're going to need him added to the party

If we were to gestalt, I'd see Growly as either sorcerer (dragon, or Fairy dragon bloodlines) or bard, leaning on bard.
Myself as either a tactian or a vitalist, and later there are pleanty of nifty PrCs that would be fun so long as I continue to advance my armor
And kryzbyn's guy would obviously be psi warrior/soulknife

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Are we waiting to see if anyone else answers? Because I'm pretty sure it's just us.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

He said no gestalt.

I think he was talking about me posting. I have bad habit of waiting for people to post when I really should be moving things along.

He just needs to poke me now and again.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

I was referring to the post prior to that one.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Ah. Yeah, you get used to that. Or I did.

He tends to talk about his ideas. He doesn't expect you to change anything, he just loves talking about hypothetical things.

We used to, in our spare time, take a fictional universe each, assume complete control over all the characters, and then see witch one would wn in a fight.

It was fun.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

I just like to play with such, I'm not trying to pry, it's similar to how I do the same for various pop culture characters.
And yeah I remember that, the last one we did was Naruto VS Pokemon, it was indead fun

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

I wouldn't mind the gestalt, honestly. It'd make the PrC for Zhadron kind of a moot point.

Ahh ok. I get it. That's not a bad quality, really. Used to do the same thing. :)

Ed is really busy with stuff right now, so he may not be able to join, but just assume he goes through the meeting in case he wants to join when he can. Plenty of background to blend into here.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

He could be on another team
Something similar happened in a way of the wicked game I was in

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

I said that I don't /think/ we're getsalting.

This may change.

The campaign is in a bit of a state of flux due to me losing a lot of my notes, meaning that I can adept to these sorts of things with ease.

So, perhaps some training from the torchbearers for gestating is an order?

Tell me what you would gestalt with, and I'll work on it.
I've never run a gestalt campaign, so why not?

The cleric NPC will still show, but later.

On a side note, I'm not going to apply the "no prestige class" thing for gestalt, but you must fulfill all the requirements with the /one/ side you're taking it on, aside from feats.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

As for Ed, I've got a way to bring him back in as needed.

I'll also be a while with that tour post, so don't hold your breath.

(Later tonight.)

RETIRED

Bard. Lots of bard.
Probably Diva archetype, because it's actually really useful.
Wouldn't change his personality, though. He's still the funny little dragon.
Plus, medium armor will be helpful, if a little hard to keep sized.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Or I could get it done way faster then I expected.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Bards can't cast in medium armor without suffering arcane failure chance.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

It's not the only one with medium armor, arcane duelist does too, personally I prefer that one

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Deva is useful.

No-save no-check frightened is good.

Also, I see the medium armor thing now.

Indeed. That's what Rakki is, but he's also a monk, so he doesn't use that part.
Devastating Aria is cool. Plus with growly I can do it with puns.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Scathing tirade is kinda insane.

No-save, no-check instant lose.

The hell knight has a semi-better version (at will, but requires intimidate check) but requires skill investment.

Also, I'm much less enthusiastic about this...

You mentioned puns.

He was going to do that anyways. It's his character.
Now it's just part of a class skill.
Doesn't really affect anything.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

I may jsut keep this side of the path as it was with the PrC and simply add another psi class to the other path. (not aegis; I won't step on any toes)

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Oh, I know, I just try and forget anything to do with puns, or pie-related comedy.

As for scathing tyrade, I'll let it be, hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me in the butt...

I've got to never use single enemies....

Ug.

Alright then.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Huh...
Interesting...
Hmm vitalist or tactician... Hmm trickery choice.

After looking at both classes and then at my character, I found that they are both classes with nine levels of casting, and my highest mental stat is a 15, if I go there I'll need to get a headband ASAP, but the class would still be functional, that said, maybe psi warrior might be a better choice,
Firstly I want to ask you kryzbyn, if that would be stepping on your toes too much, if it is, that's no problem, I'll take a different class
Secondly, I'd like to know what other psionic class you're taking, as that would help my decision making process

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

...
>_<

I'm not sure how to move things on from here...

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

You could take us to our rooms, and/or the mess hall, narrate how late it is,
Allow for some brief RP
The next day training starts, and then whatever plot piece is going on, I'm guessing it has something to do with the diplomacy trip or the lack of staff caused by it.

I don't care if you take Psi Warrior, I just didn't want to take Aegis and step on your toes since it's your main class.

I have no idea what other psionic class, but im leaning toward Psion or Wilder. Wanna get my sith on...

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Cool, though... Those two classes, they take intelligence and charisma... You have an 8 and 9 in those stats, you should stick to wisdom based psionics, off the top of my head, soulknife psi warrior and vitalist use wisdom I believe,
I'm thinking about taking psi warrior with the assisian path, and later taking the telekinetic weapon master PrC.
EDIT: I missed one, marksman also uses wisdom
EDIT2: and of course you could always go non psionic

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

yeah...is ACG out of bounds? Slayer would rock for him.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

I don't have it, and don't entirely trust it.

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

That's not a no...

If I purchase the PDF for you, will you give it a shot?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

there's always the playtest document (which is all of it that I have)

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

There's quite a bit of difference between the two in a lot of the classes.

Kryzbyn wrote:

Perhaps.

I don't want to impose on you, however.

From what I can tell, slayer is probably fine.

Basically a fighter/rouge/ranger blend?

Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger

rogue/ranger, mostly.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Alright then.

I trust that you know what you're doing.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

I would appriciate if you put the slayer info spoilered in your profile.

They're all on pfsrd now.

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

Oh! I'll check them out then, thanks magic.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

They are?

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Yeah, looks good.

Am I seriously the first one of us to know this?

Shadow Lodge

Male. Vaguely humanoid Ninja 3/Bard 1/Ranger 2/Scholar 1

I still don't see it, for some reason, linkify me?

Thanks, they were hiding from me
I'm almost done with the character redesign, will be done in a few hours

So are we just continuing on with the new abilities like we've always had them or do we need to do something first?

I'm guessing that we'll be going through a training montage consisting of about a weeks worth of time.

There's a feat I'm wanting to take but it's third party, so I need to ask you first,
It's the "minor damage reduction" feat, it improves my DR by one, nothing too spectacular, but it would be better than toughness, and I can't think of any other tank-y feats that I qualify for.
