Also a query for Khepri and Cynara as to what light source they go with?
I don't think Cynara, at least, needs a light source. Per the APG on her curse:

Khepri, of course, shines enough all on his own :-).

I, on the other hand, have no way to see in the dark. Maybe someday there will be some goggle of night or something, but for now I need light of some sort.

We already cleared the final hurdle, but if you have any interest in Midgard Tales and haven't signed up yet, you still have a few hours to join Mark and myself (and perhaps others I don't know are already in). The amount of content is amazing:
- Nearly 200 page Hardcover or Softcover Book (depending what level you buy in)
- 64 page Christina Stiles adventure
- 16 page Wolfgang Baur adventure
- Battlemats
- 32 page Legends of Midgard
- Plus Richard Pett, Nick Logue and Tim Connors are all pitching.
You can get all of that for as little as $35 if you go all-electronic.

The jump from 3 to 4 is a really good one for most of the party. We all get +1 BAB and +1 to an ability score, Khepri gets his first Holy Light ability, and Cynara, Padrym, and Feigr all get their first L2 spells. (Of course, that gives DMV an excuse to take the gloves off....)
The spells are nice but the Light abilities and the extra lay on hands can really help out. Even more so if you can manage a couple of the lay on hands feats.
oh and level 4 Go go gadget trap-spotter! I now have 2 automatic chances to spot stone based/using traps and I only spring traps on a failed disarm if I fail by 10.

I see Cynara has selected Lesser Restoration. How do you all feel about spell selection right now? I only get one 2nd level. Leaning toward Remove Paralysis or Bull's Strength.

Lesser Restoration is a bonus spell for Life mystery oracles, and we both got CMW, of course. You get Spiritual Weapon, I think? I tentatively picked Aid for my actual L2 spell, because I figured the transmuter in the party was a reasonable source for Bull's Strength. I also thought about Remove Paralysis, which seems like a useful thing to spam when fighting ghouls and nasty sneaks with paralysis poisons, and if we had a decent source of silver and holy water Consecration seems like a decent choice for serious cleaning operations.
I have Bulls Strength, Feigr. I typically memorize it once a day, but i could add it one more time a day without much trouble. think Remove Paralysis would be a really good pick.
I'll be leveling up tonight, assuming I ever get done with work. Yay for...hmmm, 14 hour days so far this week. I have access to quite a few spells but I'll mostly be focused on self buff and touch spells for obvious reasons. If anybody has a spell they think is more useful than others don't be afraid to bring it up.

I'll be out of town this weekend for an SF convention, heading out tomorrow morning, and even though the hotel has decent internet I'm not sure how much time I'll have. If necessary, DMPC me. Cynara is all updated to L4, I think. She can finally speak Dwarvish, and she took her +1 to CON.
DM. Now have trap spotter talent. This means an automatic secret perception check whenever I come with in 10 feet of a trap.
Current Trap spotting skill is 14 (Perception 8, canny +4, trapfinding +2) add an additional 2 from stone cunning and a second free secret check if the trap involves stone.
If the secret checks are a headache I can rebuild. Just thinking about how many rolls you would need to make if the party were to pass a trapped secret door in a stone wall. 2 for me and one each for Dolgrim, Padrym, and Fegir.
Mind you with my luck we will go the whole campaign without ever seeing a secret door.
Consecration seems like a decent choice for serious cleaning operations.
I say don't bother wasting one of your few spells known on it. It is worth having a scroll or two about but oracles have to focus on spells that are more generally useful.
Also depends on how much consecration will needed to be done on the various levels. If it has to be used often does it become a better choice?
We would have to be needing it a great deal, and we would have to make at least 50g everytime we use it just to break even. Mind you after a few levels when we have more cash and know we are facing lots and lots of undead it might be worth swapping out for.
Here's an interesting question...who wants to use the cool magical hammer we found? I'm a Mage only rit now, loves an archer, cynaras an elf, Padrym will piss off Magatha, and Kepris a scimitar guy. Is Feigr the best choice to use it? I think he is...
AC 20/10/20, HP 35/35, F+3 R+1 W+3, Init +0, Per -1
I think it would make sense for Feigr if no one else wants it. He does have a masterwork weapon already, but the hammer would be better and offers interesting roleplay possibilities for him. His ancestral weapon ability does not provide a +1 weapon until level 7.
Just a note - had today off work and hence the lackage of posts. Weekends being weekends with chidlets makes it hard to get a decent post in also. It will improve over time, but at present my evenings are curtailed with the amusement of one that does not sleep much.
So apologies, update will be incoming as soon as able - but might not be until later this weekend.
Yeah he is - was basically a false alarm that freaked out my wife. Our four month old started choking / coughing / screaming for 5-10 minutes before coughing up an epic loogie... and then he was fine.

I'm going to be out on the road through Sunday, so posting will be intermittent. Phones kind of suck for that sort of thing :-(. Feel free to DMPC me as needed, DM V.
