Round 3, Summary

At the beginning of the round, the lone stationary sentry's arrow pierces Yamamoto Seiji's leg. Several moments after, the dastardly raiders fan out and attack your scattered group, unfortunately surrounding and landing a hit on your beleaguered bard, Joyabraund Northropple. Several more attempt to tackle the one dwarf killing machine Father Flinthammer, but their blows are repelled by his amazing armor and faith in Torag. Broderus, Treygan and Father Flinthammer have great success in melee thinning the goblin horde that throws themselves upon you.

Round 4

Running all the goblins attacks save for those on Joyabraund, as he can let me know what he would do to combat the threat about him

Goblin Sentry Dogslicer vs. Treygan Gorski AC 20 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 if he hits, he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 2

Goblin 08 Dogslicer w/ higher ground vs. Valcrim Flinthammer AC 22 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 if he hits, he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 3 damage.

Goblin 07 Dogslicer vs. Broderus AC 19 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 if he hits he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 4 damage

Goblins slash at you, but no attacks find purchase. A particularly brave goblin tumbles through Father Flinthammer's legs, but finds himself caught, staring down the stern visage of a dwarf who hates goblins...

The blows rains down, finding only dwarf-crafted steel and skilled defenses, Valcrim's focused eyes nigh gleaming in the slits of his helmet as the goblin underestimates the cleric. Hefting his mighty hammer, the gruff dwarf turns on his heel, into a half-spin that brings the hammer in to meet the goblin so his own momentum adds to the impact, leaving little but a mangled bit of jaw where once its head existed, killing it instantly.

"Ye think ye can get past a defender o' Torag?! Yer brain was gone before I smote ya!" he mocks as he decimates two goblins in short order, glancing at Joyabraund who seems to be fighting worse odds, nodding his way to signal that he will be right over.

On his turn, Valcrim likely head up to help Joyabraund, but will wait until his turn to see how the situation unfolds.

Male Human (Tian-Min) Alchemist 2

Seiji will take a 5-Foot Step to J6, use a move action to reload his crossbow, and then a standard action to fire at the goblin in D6.

Seiji hops forward and sinks to one knee, fitting another bolt into his crossbow and letting it fly at one of the wretched goblins near poor Joyabraund.

Attack (Crossbow) - 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
If it hits, it deals 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 points of damage.

Male Human Ranger 2 (Guide)

Broderus squints his eyes at the goblin who just attacked him and shakes his head, "Big mistake..."

Attack (Longsword) - 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Attack (Mace) - 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
If successful, Damage - 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

I have to defeat this foe so I can aid Joyabraund. I can't let him down like I did Abigail...

Apologies for the delay, gentlemen, I've had a tough time with lack of sleep.

Well, those would have hit without flank, so I don't feel so bad.

As Joyabraund slashes wildly at the goblins, one giggles with glee and darts out of the path of the sword, establishing a flanking position with his mate which proves painful for your faithful halfling companion!

Round 4 Summary, thus far:

The goblin sentries open the round again, squaring off against Treygan and Father Flinthammer, and neither are successful in touching your armored personifications of absolute good, as though their faith alone repels the attacks of the brutish little monsters. Joyabraund attempts to fight off the pair threatening him, but this just inspires them to flank him, and they squeal in goblin glee as their dogslicers bite into his flesh. Several more goblins gang up upon Father Flinthammer in his amazing armor, but their blows rock back as though attempting to sunder Torag's forge itself. Broderus's longsword slashes the goblin's leg, and opens the flesh, but the pain seems only to fuel his brutish rage. Yamamoto Seiji and Treygan Gorski continue to fight valiantly against these monsters, but neither of your attacks are able to penetrate the goblin's armor.

Need an move and attack from Valcrim, then we can go on to Round 5

Valcrim growls as the goblins stab Joya, and trudges over to G5, disregarding the goblin that is in front of him raising his shield to cover his movement, and brings the hammer in an overhead arch that impacts with enough force to shatter the goblin's spine, and make the broken corpse bounce off the ground. "Got yer back!" he grins

Goblin Dogslicer AoO vs. Father Flinthammer AC 22 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 if he hits he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 3 damage.

Round 4, fin

Valcrim Flinthammer, scourge of goblins, moves from the bodies of those he has already felled to assist his fellow adventurer, and utterly obliterates the goblin flanking Joyabraund, eliminating the threat in an impressive display of gore as his weapon cleaves through the goblin's skull, and continues bearing down into his small chest, breaking bones and tearing sinew.

The goblin sentries continue to hammer away at your stalwart defenders, although from the clear shriek of rage and the clamor of a bow against the ground, you can infer that he has given up on trying to assault Valcrim with his bow.

Goblin 05 Acrobatics vs. Joyabraund Northropple's CMD 10 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

The remaining goblin threatening Joyabraund, deciding that the little piece of meat is not nearly as prestigious as the armored battle Father tumbles near the halfling and comes up with his dogslicer in a flanking position with his compatriot to threaten the dwarven priest.

Assuming that Joyabraund does not drop goblin 05 on his turn...

Goblin 08 Dogslicer w/flank bonus vs. Valcrim Flinthammer AC 22 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 if he hits, he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 2 damage.

The fearsome goblins, working in tandem, manage to penetrate Valcrim's defense once, and give a howl of victory as his blood blossoms on the blade, which is quickly taken up by the others.

Goblin 05 Dogslicer vs. Broderus AC 19 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 if he hits, he will deal 1d4 ⇒ 1 damage.

The goblin, menaced by Broderus's tenacity, is unable to hit him with his dogslicer.

A correction, since goblin was tumbling through Joyabraund's square, he fails his acro check and provokes an AoO from the bard, and his movement stops there as well, so... two attacks on a very silly goblin for Joyabraund!

Very difficult weekend for pain management and sleep, but, looking up now, the first act of this durned combat is almost over...

Round 5, Summary

Despite being in the right place at the right time and his colorful inspiration to the group, Joyabraund fails to stab the goblin right in front of his face. In quick succession, Broderus, Valcrim, Yamamoto Seiji and Treygan dispatch their opponents in melee. Broderus's mighty swings cleave the goblin before him in twain, so that his mace completely obliterates its skull in a grotesque display of gore, splattering cranial matter about the little hut.

Round 6

None too bright, the remaining goblin sentry, dogslicer between his teeth, begins moving towards the pool. It appears as though he is considering escape as a viable option. A few seconds later, a goblin witness to the carnage breaks from the same hut, and begins pounding on the double doors to the largest building in the compound and screaming furiously in goblin.

Goblin:

"Filthy no good b*stard, you stay while we fall! I'll devour your mates eggs and piss in your mother's eyes!"

Map.

Male Human Ranger 2 (Guide)

His opponents dispatched, Broderus forces a thin smile to form on his face. I've finally performed bravely in combat. A year too late, but perhaps Erastil still has a plan in mind for me.

He steps off the platform and rejoins his comrades on the parade grounds. His eyes dart towards the two nearby goblins, quickly scanning the retreating one before focusing on the one pounding on the double doors. He begins moving in that direction, calling out "I'm going to intercept him before he gets reinforcements!"

Two move actions should put me at J-5

Male Dwarf Cleric of Torag 2

If the gobbo is not dead when Valcrim's turn comes up, he will charge to M5 and attack (1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5).

If there is no line of effect, he will channel to heal his allies for 1d6 ⇒ 6 HP

Male Human (Tian-Min) Alchemist 2

Seiji moves in to support Treygan, heading up the steps into the building. He ends in L7, and reloads his crossbow.

Seiji nods at Treygan as he passes him. He does not speak, but instead points to the door in front of them as he fits another bolt into his crossbow.

Joyabraund sneers at his sword and sheathes it. He will pull his scorpion whip instead and give it a "you better work for me" type look. Move and move for this round

Female Human Housewife/1

Valcrim Flinthammer, Goblinbane rushes forward to attack the nigh defenseless deserter, and with his hammer of justice delivers a solid blow to the horrid little creature, but does not end his life.

Broderus soon follows for support, and Yamamoto Seiji moves up to assist Treygan Gorski.

Goblin sentry takes a withdraw action, moving 60' in a straight line, through the pool, towards a tree line. He is still within crossbow range for Yamamoto Seiji and Father Flinthammer, and cannot reach cover this round.

The last goblin continues to pound on the door of the largest building in the complex and screech in goblin.

"Yer nae gettin' away, ya little rat!" Valcrim calls after it before he chucks his javelin to end its retreat.

Treygan says back, giving a grin to hide the pain of the wounds suffered thus far. Weapons in hand, he boldly goes forward, towards the goblin.

Joyabraund will move to reconvene with the group keeping an eye out for trouble and ambushes.

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Female Human Housewife/1

Okay, I will assume you guys move closer to the next scene. When you state your actions, please let me know where you'd like to end up. This is going to be more of a social puzzle than a combat, for a bit anyway.

Breathing heavily, with senses heightened and reality somewhat slowed as adrenaline continues to coarse through your veins you approach the largest structure in the village. The gobin that is pounding on the door cannot fail to hear Father Flinthammer approach in his full plate, but he does not cease to pound on the door, and for those of you who speak goblin, continue to plead with the occupants to be allowed inside.

Goblin:

"Great one, please! You can slay each of these to a man with your mighty bow. Protect our brood!"

The door remains closed, and though you know that goblins are not particularly hearty, nor the structure particularly sound, the doors do not move very much. It appears that the entrance is quite sturdy.

Male Human (Tian-Min) Alchemist 2

Seiji is standing in M13, just within the open door.

With his crossbow trained on the desperate goblin, Seiji glances at Valcrim.

Male Dwarf Cleric of Torag 2

Valcrim approaches and nods towards Seiji to let the bolt fly if the goblin moves, then looks to the halfling "Joyabraund, do ye wish ta shake tha gobbo down fer some information before we off it? I recall ye mentioning ye understood tha foul babble they call a language."

Valcrim produces a holy symbol and raises it to the sky, invoking Torag's blessings and channeling positive energy to heal his allies for 1d6 ⇒ 2 HP.

Sorry about the delay

Joybraund snaps his hand in a saulte. Aye Mr. Flinthammer sir!

Joybraund will keep his whip in hand but coil it. He will stow his shield. Approaching the goblin Joyabraund tests a few goblin phrases under his breath and approaches the goblin. Stopping say 10 feet away from him. The halfling puffs his chest out and saunters to the goblin, not unlike how he might approach a fair maiden at a summer festival or wine bar.

Joyabraund adopts a casual look and attempts some "conversational goblin" in an attempt to get the green fiend's attention:

Conversational Goblin:
Hi there. So, not to be rude, but I don't think he is coming out with a bow or any kind of help. I could help you get out of here if you come talk to me and my friends...

Male Human Ranger 2 (Guide)

Broderus warily regards the goblin, carefully looking for any signs of aggression or imminent attack. He arches an eyebrow at the bizarre rabblings sprouting from Joyabraund's mouth but maintains his position. (Q-12)

He lowers his weapons, allowing the mace to dangle harmlessly and the sword to rest along the ground.

Female Human Housewife/1

The goblin spins round at Joyabraund's words, its dogslicer gripped hard in its fists.

Goblin:

"TALK? You break our clan! DEATH TO THE TIN ONE!"

The goblin seems to shriek at Joyabraund, looking at the little halfling in a fury before its bloodshot eyes focus on Valcrim. It practically quivers in place. Whatever Joyabraund said to the creature clearly did not pacify it at all, but it has stopped pounding on the door.

Goblin, Perception DC 5:

"... a boil on the ass, that one. I call his legs!" one voice says.

"Shame about Reta, though I'da punched her teeth out mahself," comments another. "Hey, open the damn door, it's boring in here."

After some moments, the pair begin to sling insults at each other concerning mates, insults to anatomy and prowess in a variety of fields, and finally just enraged syllables with goblinoid origins.

Perception DC 10:
From within the hut you hear goblin chatter, followed by an exasperated sigh. After a few more moments, with increasing pitch, volume and intensity more goblin chatter, and then the sounds of struggle occurring near the door.

We're going off the same initiative since combat has not ended. I used the speaking bits on the part of this goblin as its round, so it would be your turn, gentlemen.

The dying goblins screams are distracting, and Broderus is unable to make out what is happening behind the door. He heeds Joyabraund's words though and readies his sword and mace for a possible assault.

He gives Seiji a sideways glance and thinks, So much for diplomacy. I would expect Valcrim to shoot first and ask questions later, but Seiji's actions surpised me a bit. But isn't that the law of the jungle, kill first or be killed...
