Thanks for the invite. I'm looking forward to playing. Morrigan is relatively new to Katapesh. If she knows any of the other character's, she would not have known them for more than a few months. She doesn't know Haleen. If anyone does want to have some association with her at the start of the adventure, it could be through a mercenary group or perhaps a chance friendly encounter in a tavern. However, being raised by a cult of Zon-Kuthon, it is not easy for her to make new friends.

I did not take the "Finding Haleen" trait. For my traits, I took the half-orc racial trait from the Adventure Path, "Legacy of Sand," and one from the APG.

I do not have finding Haleen trait. However I am part of the pathfinder society (Grand Lodge). I have been sent down here to join up with a group of adventurers to exlpore the ruins of Kelmarane. To bring me in the group leader probably may have gotten word of my being sent to aid in the recovery of Kelmarane, so he/she may be expecting me.

Also I will flesh out a backgroud tonight and have it ready to go for tomorrow. Should have done that already but got busy and then forgot lol.

I believe the fluff for multiple people with Finding Haleen is that you're siblings, or at least were all raised together.

Anaara is actually a slave who recently came under ownership of the Katapesh city government, and she's being sent on the expedition to Kelmarane as an official duty for her masters. They've gotten wind of where Garavel's band is coalescing, so she arrives presenting letters bearing the Katapeshi official seal explaining who she is and sanctioning her presence and role in the group.

Noonan is a slave that was purchased to serve as a bodyguard/caravan guard for the group. He was tossed off to an orphanage due to being illegitimate and an ugly hunchback. After getting bought by an arena master, he was trained as a fighter and eventually sold to pay of fhis master's debts.

Kat, I was reading your story... I do see a connection with bahram.

Bahram could be slightly older, and though not from the same orphanage, he did spend time on the streets.

He probably noticed her about as they both served as messengers of sorts. While Bahram worked with the Nightstalls Kat was probably with the more "legit' businesses.

the Time Haleen took Kat in, Bahram was already with her, learning sword fighting.

at first he objected, but then him and Kat got to be friends. after all two lovely ladies with him, what could be wrong with that?

also I will be changing over to the unchained rogue

Unchained rogue is really good. With the free weapon finess and dex to dmg at later lvls, and there debilitating injury which adds debufs to the target through sneak attack. So many good things with them now.

Oh, by the way, Techno, is it too late for me to give my familiar the Sage archetype? I hadn't considered familiar archetypes before, but looking at it, Sage sounds cool, especially since I've got the time patron. Deep understanding of the interwoven threads of time tends to lead to fairly extensive knowledge, after all. :)

As an FYI, I made a few minor changes to Kat. I purchased 100 pieces of chalk and a chalkboard, since she is deaf. I also swapped Mending for Create Water as a cantrip since I think this makes more sense in the desert.

I have not read anyone else's background. Let me know how you want to combine things and I will look into it. My background was put together pretty quickly, so the deaf curse is not covered that well.

I still am trying to figure out about Boramyr

as a dwarf his age makes it difficult. that the only way to tie him together is to advance Haleen to old age thus making our stories seem weird if not unworkable or advance, myself and kat along with Haleen to old age. thus making us well mainly me not much of use to adventure.

by the timeline: Boramyr was 36 when Kelmarane fell to ruin. so Haleen had to be adventuring age around that time (which by the official timeline was 20 years ago.) he met Haleen shortly after that which would mean she would have to be at least 18 back then, which put her at 38 now. which means there is no chance eaith me or Kat would have ever known her due to massive age difference unless we are advance to age 38 which puts us at the Middle age category by the rules (-1 str, dex, con and +1 Int wis and Cha)

so the question now is we can reduce Boramyr's age and or adjust his meeting with her later and under somewhat different circumstances?

needing some input from Boramyr here.

I can move my avatar as well, and if it works better, I can reduce my characters age to something more appropriate. I just used a random roller for the age. :)

Bahran - the problem is that the stories do not really mesh in any manner. You have Haleen being really young, the same age as us. Kat has Haleen being sort of a motherish figure, probably 10-15 years older. Boramyr has Haleen being older than him, which would put her in the 70-80 range.

Not sure the best way to fix this. I could have met her and lived with her, while you were more of a friend once she left the orphanage. Using this scenario, you are probably 5-10 years older than Kat. Unfortunately, it really does not help Boramyr's backstory.

motherish figure does not always have to mean much older. even 5 years can be enough as well. ats all in the character personality.

sorry if I saw more of a connection than you expected. I can up bahram's age a bit as well as I have not set an age for Barhram yet. but having him at 27 to 29 would work.

we also have to take into consideration how the DM wants Haleen to be portrayed as well.

Mother might not really be the right term. More of an older person who chose to take in a waif and try to make a real person out of her. 28-30 is probably fine. I can drop Kat's age a few years without really affecting anything, will just make her more naive.

either way, I think Kat and Bahram might be acquaintances. as Haleen was one of not the primary love interest for him.

also don't be surprised if Bahram sees how nicely you have grown (he may make a pass or two, or more) toward you.

As for changing the story, I didn't put an age on him anywhere in it, but it might have raised an eyebrow from his elders when he went charging off at such a young age to go look for someone. :)

But that is why I said if it was alright with TechnoGM. :)

Kat I swapped out a known language for "sign" to be able to talk with you without the lip reading part.

Lol - I don't have sign language yet. Next level I will drop another rank into linguistics to get sign language.

Remember, Kat needs to be able to see you to read you lips, or use sign language. The only difference is that sign language could be used for secret messages I suppose. She knows how to talk, if slowly and probably not with perfect inflection.

If I roll for age, I almost inevitably end up minimum or nearly minimum. I've just started picking ages within the suggested ranges, or every character I ever make is going to be 15 years old. :/
