Eri stirs in her sleep and whimpers as Ruedo is busy studying his magic, but she doesn't wake.

Marcus took a deep drink of his ale. He then looked at Theodora, "Look, I'm not the most tactful of men, so if you don't mind me asking, what are your plans for this evening?"

Smiling coyly she looks at the grizzled warrior through her eyelashes. "Given all the talk of those escaped prisoners, I think I'd feel very safe in a big strong man's arms tonight."

"If I'm not being too forward, perhaps I can fill that roll?"
Bored out of his mind, Ruedo gets up off the bed. "I'm going to do some research around town. Want to come along, Katie?"
Stretching she opens her eyes before yawning, "Yeah...bored now."
Bert nods, straightens out his clothes and takes Katie's hand. Heading outside, he silently curses himself for not learning about nobility, but goes around getting a feel for the populace before beginning his task.
"I would like that very much." she replies leaning into him, the scent of her intoxicating.
She just rubs her eyes while they walk through town and concentrates on keeping up her adorable image. She points at different things that catch her eye, and makes giggling sounds at seeing some puppies that someone is trying to sell. She even gets close enough to pet one, but squeals and hides behind Bert when it tries to lick her.
As they're walking and she appears to be nothing but a cute little kid, she tries to listen to everything going on around them. Just in case she's able to pick up on some useful information.
It didn't take long for the two of you to make your back to the store where you purchased the scrolls. The shopkeeper spoke up, "Back already?"

Eri caught wind of the bakery, and her thoughts were instantly muddled with images of cookies.

Marcus felt some swelling below his belt. Putting a hand on the small of her back, "I have a small house at the edge of town. It would be more, private."

After purchasing several nondescript herbs, the pirate in disguise headed back to the Inn. You see Ravan sitting at a table with what looked like some old soldier.
Awe man....I should have brought the cookies with me. She thinks to herself as she goes through town with Bert.

Ruedo places the scrolls on the counter. "I've found that I cannot use these effectively."
This entire town is pointless. We would be better off burning it down, killing everyone and putting their heads on pikes, he thinks to himself.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Well, given it's only been so short a time, I'm willing to give you a full refund. Unless of course you find something else you fancy?"
Ruedo shakes his head. "I think it would be wise if I held onto my money for the time being. I appreciate your generosity though."
Bored out of her skull, Katie just looks around the store, being careful not to touch anything.
Taking the scrolls, and handing over the money, "Well, hope to see you soon anyways."
"Come along, Katie," Ruedo says, stowing his money. "You've been so patient. Would you like to stop for some more cookies?"
She smiles and nods her head, "Cookies!"
Ruedo takes Eri's hand and heads back to the bakery, rather irate that he wouldn't be able to manipulate the sheeple of this town.
Feeling his agitation in the way he walks and the look on his face, she waits till they're out of the shop and headed towards the bakery. In the middle of the street she stops, forcing him to stop. Wrapping her appearingly small arms around him she looks up into his face, "It's okay Bert. Everything be okay." She then gives him a hug before letting go of him and takes his hand again.
Ruedo sighs. "Yes, Katie...I know."
She nods as they continue on towards the bakery.
Ruedo takes a deep breath once they step inside the bakery, trying to ignore his angry thoughts.
Eri gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.
As Ruedo and Eri entered the bakery, they were greeted by the Baker once more.
"Oh, hello. Back for more cookies?"
She nods before letting go of Bert's hand and approaching the counter. Stretching up on her tip toes to try and look over it she gives the baker lady another smile, "Yes...cookies please."
Gathering up the same amount of cookies, the baker handed the bundle to Ruedo, "That will be another twelve silver please."
Eri smiles, "I got...I got." She acts like she's really digging in her pockets before pulling out another gold and two more silver pieces, "This good? Cookies good...thank you." She giggles as she holds out her hand with the money in it.
The baker smiled, "That will do fine little one."
She hands them the money and then quickly ducks behind Bert, peeking out from behind his legs at the baker. Tugging on his pant leg she reaches up for the cookies, "Cookie Bert....please. Want cookie."
She waits as patiently as possible as he pulls out one of the delicious fresh treats and immediately starts eating it as soon as he hands it to her. Her eyes glistening with happiness in the moment as she enjoys the deliciousness of her double chocolate chip cookie, she's barely aware that they're still standing in the bakery as she sways slightly.
"Thank you," Bert says to the baker, taking the rest of the cookies. "Come along, Katie. You can enjoy your cookie as we're walking."
Opening her eyes she nods and waves shyly at the baker before taking his hand while holding the cookie in her other hand, "Okay Bert." She says as they head out of the bakery and back into the street.
Looking around she tries to see if there were other children around the town, and if so what they were doing.
"Well then, I see no further reason, to remain here, do you?" she asks leaning into him.
Taking her hand, Marcus finished his ale then led her out of the Tavern and towards his home.

Eri sees Ravan heading with some older man somewhere. She also notices several tasty mors....children running around playing various games.
She just watches the children curiously as they pass by. She had never done anything like that when she was younger.
"Did you want to play with them, Katie?"
She looks up at him with a confused expression before shrugging, "Play?" It was a foreign concept to her to say the least.
"To do what they are doing," Ruedo explains. "Having fun."
Katie looks like she's still a little confused by this concept. Finishing her cookie she wipes her hands on her dress, "I play with them?"
Ruedo nods. "It's not like we have anything better to do and you might learn a thing or two from them. Just be polite."
She gives him a look and sighs, "Okay....I try. Go with me?" She asks, feeling a little nervous about doing something so outside her character.
Ruedo nods. "Of course."
Taking his hand she takes a breath and walks with him over to where some children that seem to be about the same size she was as the moment and waits to see if they'll say anything. She never really "talked" to children before so she wasn't really sure what to say. Staying a little close to Bert she gives the other children a shy smile.
