Nodding again she stands up on her tip toes to kiss him on the cheek before heading back to their room. Her posture making her look a little defeated.

Ruedo sits beside Eri and puts his arm around her. "Vengeance...if you want to do it well, takes time. We are still weaker than our enemies, but that won't hold true forever. You and I...we'll gather what we need, we'll get stronger. When we're done, those who have crossed us will regret it...only for a moment."
Eri la Grave |
She nods as she starts getting changed, "Me either....I've never really liked water. She may not stop by, but I told Ravan she could stop by to talk for a bit if she needed to since she doesn't really have anyone else to talk to about stuff. She's also pretty private about her feelings though...so she may not right now. I just wanted to let you know in case she did. But we can be quiet and won't stay up late....I know that we need sleep."
Eri la Grave |
She gives him a shy little smile, "Really? It's okay if I talk to her? I thought you would be tired and not want someone in here with me talking. That's why I thought I would mention it before she came. You know though....I'm not the only person that matters in this relationship. If I start doing stuff that bothers you...I would hope that you'd tell me."
Ravanalonna |
Ravanalonna finishes her wine and pors herself another. Perhaps burning a ship and it's crew would make her feel better, or at the very least, serve as an entertaining distraction.
Eri la Grave |
Ravan? Was there anything else you wanted to do or say? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm waiting up for you, or if I should just have her go to sleep.

The next morning after breakfast, you head to the river dock towards the ship. A grizzled looking man with pale blonde hair and wiry beard stands at the gangplank. His face and arms have countless scars and eyes that portray a savage ruthlessness just waiting to be unleashed. Behind him on the ship stand about a half dozen grim sailors that conversed in a strange tongue as the finished loading the cargo.
With arms crossed, the grizzled man looked each of you over, his gaze lingering slightly more on Ravan. The look betrayed more of a disbelief of her physical prowess than any sort of lustful thoughts. His eyes simply rolled and his head shook slightly when he looked at Ruedo. Turning to Cyrus, he asked, "You will guard our boat all the way north, yes?"
Eri la Grave |
Before
After waiting up for a bit she realizes that Ravan most likely wanted some time alone, so curling up next to Ruedo she falls asleep.
Presently
As the bastard looked her over she likewise rolled her eyes at him and then glared at him as she takes in the look he's giving her lover. She really wanted to make him sorry for behaving like an ass, but there would be plenty of time for that later and she could enjoy it more then. She would maul him and whatever the others left so that she could make their deaths look like an animal attack. Some oil carelessly spilled and a lantern knocked over could easily dispose of the ship along with some of Ravan's fire. Yes....she would enjoy this immensely.

"As long as it takes," He responded curtly. "I'm Captain Kargeld, I will be taking you to the cursed north past hope and life." Stepping to the side, he let you all on board.
Boarding the ship, you notice a couple of things. First, there didn't appear to be any below decks or cabins and a single camber pot in the aft. Second, there seemed to be more cargo then you originally thought, significantly more.
Eri la Grave |
She nods, "Yeah...so I'm wondering if we're ever gonna get to sit down on this voyage, or if we're gonna have to stand the entire time because that could get boring really fast." She says with a sigh.

With the Knot aboard, the Captain got the ship underway. Soon, you head down the river towards the sea. It takes about half a day to sail the river. Upon hitting the sea, the ship began its trek north while staying fairly close to the shore.
The first couple days prove the most troublesome for those unfamiliar with shipboard life, but you soon gain your sea legs and it provides little trouble after that. The food on the other hand was another story. Nothing but hard tack and beer. On the third day, Captain Kargeld pulls onto shore for some fresh deer, which is caught and prepared rather easily by the crew. Over the course of the next few days you pass several fishing villages, some of the boats wave at your vessel and Kargeld always waves back. "Wouldn't want'em to get suspicious, eh?"
By weeks end, the city of Daveryn comes into view. It is the largest center of civilization along the western coast. Looking towards you, the Captain says, "We ain't stopping. I won't get our cargo within a mile of a Talirean Harbormaster."
About another week after, you pass by Watch Wall and into the north.
A couple days after passing the wall, the Captain approaches you, “We are a little light on fresh water I think. We are passing Seal Isle and there is a stream that feeds into the bay there. We’ll take on water there. I’ll send a party to the shore. Of course, that means we’ll spend a day in some of the richest fur seal hunting grounds all along this coast. I’m thinking of organizing a hunting expedition. Interested?”
Ravanalonna |
Ravan had spent the first few days quietly, adapting to being on a ship and adjusting her mood. Once she had however, she quickly shifted to making friends, managing to get smiles out of the surliest of bastards despite themselves. They might think her useless, but she was determined that before they got to their destination she would be one of the most well liked people on the ship.
Diplomacy: Week 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Diplomacy: Week 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Working to influence the attitudes of the crew. Assuming week one they're unfriendly and week two indifferent, both should be successful

Don't worry....it may not happen as soon as we would like for it to, but that whore will get what's coming to her. In the meantime we take out our pent up anger, frustrations, and hatred on these poor
bastards that have no idea that they're all about to die horribly.
Eri la Grave |
Smiling, the young looking girl picks up her very large axe and takes Ruedo's hand. "I think I could use a break from this thing and wouldn't mind spending some time on solid ground."
Cyrus Darkwater |
"I'm here to guard the ship not hunt small game for a bit of extra coin." Cyrus answers.

*** During the initial trip ***
Within the first week of the voyage, Ravan had earned the friendship of every member of the crew, save the Captain. And by the end of the second week, two of them would look for any excuse to be near her.
*** End Time Alteration ***
I think by the time you get to the point where you have to tie up loose ends, it's just going to be the Captain you'll have to fight. Especially if Ravan manages to win over the rest of the crew.
"Well then you can keep your somber ass on the ship for all I care." The Captain replied.
A couple days later, the ship weighs anchor of the shore of Seal Island. The crew immediately unpacks the shore boats, sets them in the water, and prepares for hunting.
Four people per boat, how do you want to divide this?
Eri la Grave |
When the captain replies to Cyrus's crabby response to a shore trip she can't help but snicker a little bit.
Once they weigh anchor Eri makes sure she has her stuff before helping the crew gather up their hunting supplies. After all, she wouldn't want them getting suspicious would she?
Ravanalonna |
Well if Cyrus is gonna just sit around on the ship just to be disagreeable I'm not ending up by myself.
Giving Cyrus a questioning look, Ravanalonna gets in to the same boat as Ruedo and Eri.
Eri la Grave |
Eri holds onto the sides of the boat as the rocking of the much smaller vessel causes her a little distress, she most definitely did not want to end up in the water. Nope...she really didn't care for boats much at all.
Cyrus Darkwater |
I could make a list of reasons why I want to stay and none of them are "to be disagreeable".
GM Scary Ceiling Voice |
With everyone ready to hunt, the two boats start to leave for the island. Almost immediately, one of the sailors from the other boat speared a seal and brought it aboard. Unfortunately, they had just snagged the meal of another pair of creatures that were none too happy.
Cyrus: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Eri: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Ravan: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Creatures: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Eri: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

The two creatures, which look like a cross between a seal and shark, swam up and bumped into the boat the other sailors were on while circling back.
B1 CMB: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
B2 CMB: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Caught completely by surprise, two of the men fell out.

This...right here....probably one of those many reasons he didn't want to leave the ship. Of course we're attacked while in little bitty boats cuz someone just couldn't wait a few minutes till we were on solid ground to spear something.
Eri la Grave |
I'm not close enough to anything to hit it with the axe....and I'm not even sure it would be a good idea to swing an axe while in a little boat. What if I flip the whole thing over standing up? Can I even stand and swing my axe in this thing? I don't know....
Cyrus Darkwater |
She's catching on. I'm almost proud. Just realized I'm on the init order. I'll check the map from my phone in a bit and see what I can do from here.
