a little while after the fog dissipates, the body in the center of it goes limp, the bodies being dragged that were dead are wearing city guard uniforms, though the one is still alive. Four guards arrive to collect their fellows and calm terrified citizens, though maybe a bit harsh they do thank you for your assistance, otherwise the creature would undoubtedly continue its rampage

so with Kuriq looking about notices something, the corpse in the middle of the fog is in terrible condition, its disturbingly ashen to the point of almost colorless, its head is wrenched backwards, the jaw torn half off, as well as its left leg and arm have been eaten down to the bone. which you probably assume wasn't the fog. the only clothing remaining on the body are torn, soiled shreds of a bright red silken undershirt.

Normally this wouldn't be much of a big issue, however some people point out the body is Frell Tann.

trying to figure out what Hogslop was, just wasn't coming to Elsbeth, though as you start to ask the locals, the guards commander, Captain Cora Crandon comes, running and a bit out of breath, she converses with her guards a moment while keeping an eye on you all, you happen to hear her asking her guards about the ID of the person and a few nodding in response.

after a few moments more Captain Cora approaches you "My men tell me you can handle yourselves, and more would have died without your help. The city could use folks of your talent. If you are interested in helping us further, I can make the introductions you need to help keep the citizens of the district safe"

Not sure how to interpret GM silence. No one, player or NPC needs healing? Nothing learned from the heal check on the bodies/wounded? Nothing learned by trying to talk to townsfolk? We're all getting to know each other's style as GM and players, so I'm not complaining, just checking.

long as far as damage goes me and the dodo were the only ones that took damage and u already assisted me in healing and theodic used his infernal healing for his dodo so i think were all good there.

Shiva kinda sighs as the new comer comes running up the road.what now another thing we have to go kill.
As she hears the captain speek she feels alittle better.

sorry, the only thing you can really learn from the dead corpses is more then likely died fighting the Fog, and died of fright really, as for the people they wouldn't speak with you, they are still terrified and trying to collect themselves.

"Long" Beau returns to his companions. He mutters an orison to detect any magical auras and applies his knowledge of the arcane, if it's magical.

He looks for the nearest well and draws a sample of the water there, too, for analysis. He asks a number of people around the well if this is the only well the townsfolk use, and if there are alternative sources of supply nearby, like a fresh spring or creek.

He attempts relates to the general masses by recollecting his own personal war on drugs in his dark past, and tell them of the dangers if one goes too far down the road. He seeks out anybody and everybody that could lend a hand in providing a little bit of knowledge.

Kuriq and Henrick get a bit of a chatter going with some of the locals, and hear that there are several Shiver dens around, though two names were heavily stated/implied "The Soiled Sow" and "The Rook's Roost", and a warning about being out when it starts to get dark, and avoid the lamplighters they are a problem.

Do we know enough about the dens that we have a location to investigate? Or is it hearsay at the moment?

After the agreed timing, Kuriq meets up with the rest of the Pathfinders to share what he has learnt. "The war is worse than I had imagine.. wicked wretched dens lie all over this town." clearly hinting emotional connections to the happenings. And not in the good way kind.

He paces around as he, and the rest of the Pathfinders decide the next course of action. "I suggest we find more about 'The Soiled Sow', scout the area during the day time and return back in the cover of darkness if need be. I care little about lamplighters"

Hearing Kuriq relate what he learned, "Long" Beau asks, "What did they mean, 'problems with the lamplighters'? That could be important."

Regarding the shiver dens, "Long" Beau agrees, "Scouting the areas around both The Soiled Sow and The Rook's Roost is a good precaution. But once we've finished our recon, why wait to investigate, given the warnings about being out after dark?"

"Long" Beau would like to recon both dens. Starting with The Soiled Sow is fine. We can look into The Rook's Roost after that. The 'don't be out after dark' and the 'avoid the lamplighters' warnings are somewhat cryptic. "Long" Beau would like to learn more.

"You misunderstood me "Long" Beau, we will infiltrate during the day if we can safely, I was just making a point that I would return during the night if I had to." Kuriq clarifies, and reaffirms his seriousness on the matter.

Kuriq agrees he might have gotten ahead of himself, "If we must, we should find out more about the lamplighters and their agenda." Along the way in search for the filthy dens, Kuriq enquires more about the lamplighters.
