a 99 fortitude save wouldn't keep them out.
But a 16 is enough to keep them from eating the muscle of your arm and permanently damaging you to the point where stats stop dropping... for the moment.

Don't worry, if they can't get the eggs out I can always cut your arm off. Otherwise we might have to roleplay that chestburster scene from Alien ;)

Hey, do I know that there are eggs in the injuries? Elijah mentioned bites, not stings, and while I have a +8 in heal, I have no relevant knowledge skills.

Elijah mentioned bite but it was a typo as far as I know, there were no bite attacks, so just go with he said sting

Aerrodin... Ummm... roll a d4 for the first two rolls and then a d2 for the arrow... we need to see how well you 'heal' him... also, it will take up 3 uses of your kit

Vinnick... I hope your tolerance for pain is quite high... this will hurt a LOT....even if it only deals minimum damage... your screams will probably rattle the windows...

Okay its official, I love the character Vinnick... your personality just shines through... even after surgical pain you still need to boast... I love it
To characters other than Vinnick and Aerrodin... They will be spending a half hour in gruelingly painful surgery... What are the rest of you doing?

Hey, I entered a post explaining what more I was doing and rolling damage,and while Vinnick's an awesome character, it feels weird for him jumping up lucid before we know if I accidently knocked him out. He could have taken ten points of damage potentially.

Yep. he was lucky enough to get stung twice and shot by our bard. I'm surprised at the luck that he has.

Well that is what I was wondering...
I understand that Thia is helping restrain, you are doing the operation, and Elijah is helping. 4/5ths of the party is involved, and Orpheus is making a fire, so I figure nothing much is happening. The 30 minutes have elapsed. Vinnick is currently unconscious.

It was midday before the storm, and it has been raging for a while now... its hard to tell exactly what time it is, there is no sun, but you were out in the rain for an hour before stumbling upon this place

So how long are going to camp? It can't be past 3 in the game, so do we camp until morning (15 hours?) or 12 hours so we can all get at least 8 hours of sleep? But that would put us up at 3 a.m. I can go either way really.

I'm for the 'everyone gets 8 hours' option. As we're (presumably) going to be stuck indoors I'm not worried about us keeping unusual hours. Day might be our best time to sleep, what with things going bump in the night...

I assumed the wood came from various fuels adventurers carry around (tinder and such) so that they can light fires wherever they go...
I want this to be detailed, and who wants to go relieve themselves in the room where your party is sleeping... And who wants to go off and find a nice dark place in the haunted house to answer the call of nature

Sorry, I was hoping you hadn't seen it... and I didn't want to get pinned for making us all sleep in the dark. I realize it was stupid to delete it: I'll try not to do that sort of thing again.
EDIT: That stairwell is wooden, right? Can we use some of the broken steps to fuel the fire?

No its fine, I had already posted in gameplay about it. I /do/ think about those things, And I found the bit about it being realistic to be quite the complement. The stairwell is wooden, and you would have to go up a few steps in order to grab at the broken pieces, the bottom few are relatively safe. How many pieces are you going for. (Lets move this to gameplay thread shall we?)

There is no way to know for sure. Do you want to try? The bookcase is on the eastern wall. There desk would be a much closer one to try, but there isn't a door. It is an open hallway leading towards the west, just as there is to the east.
