Eadie Navhelan |
I’m thinking the haste and prayer effects have both expired
“Yeah, I don’t think we’re gonna be able to just run away from whatever a goddess is sending our way.”
Eadie stands firmly, drawing an oil of bless weapon. She waits until the last second to coat her adamantine blade with the substance. “Bruxo, I have a scoll of lesser restoration containing five spells if you need more healing.”
The warrior scans her surroundings, not keen to be taken unawares by whatever is coming.

Much obliged!

If you're willing to spare one more charge, Gunner, I'd be even more obliged.

"We have the key but more enemies seem to be on the way. I guess these cultists haven't had enough yet!"
Myrdon Gharthrin |
"Really? Are we running? Just when things are turning fun?" Myrdon grins with an almost maniacal smile on his face. He then starts casting a series of spells.
Rounds
1. bull's strength on Aegis

8. wand of shield on Myrdon
9. wand of protection from evil on Aegis
10. haste
And right at the end of the short hiatus, just before whatever hell breaks lose, Myrdon once again weaves magic into the beings of his allies, pulling forth magical speed into their actions.
Eadie Navhelan |
“Yes please, Myrdon. I’ll take an enlarge person if you’re offering.”
As Eadie’s size and mass increase, she also ✨casts shield from her ioun stone. “Would you mind casting one of your shield spells into my ioun stone after this battle too, Myrdon?”
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
The poison soon burns from Bruxo's system, leaving her gasping, but the restoration spells help her to feel alive and well once more. Three ripples in the air suddenly seem to solidify as something passes through them! This eerie beast appears to be the animated skeleton of a huge fanged cat, its bones glowing with fire and seething with smoke.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Bruxo knows exactly what these things are: Hellcats! You can go ahead and read the statblock with that roll.
Bruxo Machi |
Hellcats! Bruxo shouts. They can pounce and grab! Holy weapons if you have them! They've concealment in regular light, resist fire and magic!
The Shoanti witch activates his flight hex and takes to the air, hovering near a nearby building!
Vashara |
Once the ripples start to solidify Vashara flies a little higher then starts to tell another tale of heroic Pathfinders. This time she talks of an epic fight where she and her allies were surrounded by a wall of fire and had to fight off many enemies while trying to save some innocent captives.
Vashara will start her tale and fly a little higher.
Yanndu |
Next time I vote for Duck Tales.... It's uncanny how murderhobo these ducks are! :)

Myrdon Gharthrin |
"Resistant to magic, eh," Myrdon mutters to himself. Continuing to float up, he raises his arms to the air and yells out, "ගල් කැඳවීමක්!" Across a vast swathe of the area, dirt, gravel, and small pebbles rain down pelting on the 3 dogs. What's more, the stones are infused with magic and pummels into the brains of the creatures.
Stone call with dazing metamagic.
dmg: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5 No saves or SR. Will DC22 or daze 2 rounds.
There's no SR for the stone call, but I'm uncertain whether SR would apply for the dazing metamagic. If it does, adding caster checks.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |
Bruxo leaps into the air, while Vashara begins to tell a thrilling tale of intrigue and derring-do! Eadie rushes the nearest Hellcat, nearly splitting it in a single blow, but it fights on! Myrdon calls a rain of pebbles down, but the 'cats don't seem to notice any pain. The stone call fails to deal damage due to DR, so the dazing becomes moot.
Aegis II pecks at Red, knocking the pile of flaming bones to the ground and sending it back to the hell that spawned it!
Blue and Green move gingerly through the stoned area, doing the cat wearing socks wiggle-walk and arriving next to Eadie and Aegis II! Eadie gains an AoO vs Green!
Gunner Ock and Yanndu are up for Round 1, Eadie, Aegis II, Bruxo, Myrdon, and Vashara are on deck for Round 2!
Yanndu |
Yanndu flies across the battlefield, his invisibility momentarily suppressed by Gunner, only to wink out far behind the hellcats.
Yanndu crosses the battlefield at an altitude of 25 ft.; Greater Invisibility reactivates past the edge of Gunner's spell; Yanndu then continues his flight south for 15 feet but lowers himself to an altitude of 10 feet - 85 foot movement total out of 90 ft. fly speed; as a standard action Yanndu then emits a psychic scream i.e. Synaptic Pulse, Will Save DC 19 or stunned for 1 round; 30-foot radius so should catch both cats.
Caster Level Check vs. SR, Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Penetration, Elven Magic: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 24

The portals above pulse and begin to re-solidify!
You have 2 rounds of time before something else happens. You can continue fighting and getting points for the special, or you can retreat!
Eadie Navhelan |
Eadie is buffed to the gills, so I vote to fight on while we’re accumulating Victory Points(?) Do these help make the final fight easier, OM GM?
Also, Eadie is not using up resources, so if the casters want to let say, Eadie, Vashara and Aegis do the heavy lifting, we can save the BIG MAGIC GUNS for the final fight.
Myrdon Gharthrin |
Myrdon is on. Still got quite a bit of spell slots. Worse come to worse, he'll use his wand of magic missiles. :)
Yanndu |
LOL! never played a scenario where I'm so tapped out... I might start cheering from the backrow soon, but sure, fight on!
Vashara |
Let's keep going for now. I have spells to use though they're rather situational. I also still have lay on hands for emergencies.
Our Mysterious Benefactor |
These actually ARE the final fights! But every victory accumulates victory points and may end the Special before weaker parties get stomped by baddies too wicked for them to defeat!
Two portals near to the party suddenly solidify and two huge spiders drop through, their mandibles dripping with bile and their eyes shining with malice!

Aegis II |
Normally, I take it that Aegis won't attack until given instructions by Myrdon, i.e. until Myrdon takes his turn. But I'll take it Myrdon told it to attack any creatures that appears through the portal.
Aegis suddenly seeing a giant spider appear in front of it, attacks all out. Besides, it was getting hungry.

However, it's Eadie that takes out the Blue spider, hitting it hard and fast! It collapses and dissipates as it does! Gunner's spiritual rapier is the first to damage the yellow spider, drawing green ichor!

Vashara shoots, and to her annoyance, none of the damage goes through! Think you can hurt me with that puny bow, Paladin? Think again. The spider thinks at her, in a very creepy telepathic voice.
Yanndu realizes that this creature is an advanced bebelith, not only is immune to mind-affecting affects, but that it has damage resistance versus good! You may ask three questions if you like.

Resistances, Immunities and Special Attacks please; will wait for results before deciding action,
as my regular botting scheme won't work here.
GM Hmm |
Yanndu, I double-checked this stat block. It’s not vermin but outsider, so it’s not immune to your mind affecting. (I made a mistake stating that above.) This may change your actions:
DR 10/good
Immunities: None
Special Attacks:
Dismantle Armor (Ex) If a bebilith hits a foe with both claw attacks, it can attempt to peel away the target’s armor and shield as a free action by making a CMB check. If the bebilith is successful, the target’s armor and shield are torn from his body and dismantled, falling to the ground. Armor subjected to this attack loses half its hit points and gains the broken condition if the target fails a Reflex save. The save DC is Strength-based.
Penetrating Strike (Su) A bebilith’s natural weapons are treated as chaotic and magical for the purposes of penetrating damage reduction. Against creatures with the demon type, its natural weapons are also treated as cold iron and good.
Rot (Su) A bebilith’s bite causes a horrible withering and weakening of the flesh, resulting in a hideous melting and foul rotting effect. This catastrophic withering begins on the round the creature is bitten and continues for another 4 rounds thereafter, for 5 rounds of withering in all. Each round the rot persists, the target must succeed on a Fortitude save or take 2 points of Constitution damage. If the target makes two consecutive saving throws in a row, the effect is cured. Heal can also halt the rot effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.
