Desiree Deathrage |
"You see that big bull-man, Little Miss Smiley Britches? I want you to go eat him. I'll make sure you're more protected than last time."
LMSB: Double Move
Desiree: Move Action: Move
Desiree: Standard Action: Cast Shield of Faith on LMSB
GM Hills |
Of course
The minotaur dashes forward, his head down, finally having caught the halfling, he moves to gore her, frustration showing as he does so.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
Janira takes a vicious hit from the minotaur and falls, unconscious and bleeding.
Chyras LeBlanc |
"Janira! Damn, don't take unneeded risks, but try to save de girl."
Chyras moves downward, ending square SW of Peran, he readies acid splash.
Desiree Deathrage |
It's a bit out of initiative, but I went ahead and made my double moves for both characters, since I'm going to be afk most of the weekend. Little Miss Smiley-Britches has a swim speed, so I think she'll be fine in the river but let me know if you want a roll.
Draxen Malantis |
Draxen fires a shot at the Minotaur hoping to draw its attention from the downed halfling.
"Hey ugly, why don't you come after a real challenge."
Using Deadeye and focused shot deeds.
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Chyras LeBlanc |
"Unless someone else is willing or capable of 'ealing Janira, make sure de bull isn't after me. I'll circle around if possible and tend to 'er if given a chance."
GM Hills |
The arrow does cut into the minotaur and he gives a little grunt before moving as quickly as he can. Very quick considering his bulk. Seeing one among the group has crossed the river, he decides to take her out first. Dropping his head, he rushes towards Alanya.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14
Alanya's preparation to defends saves her, as she looks like a matador sidestepping the horns of the great beast.
Party up!
Chyras LeBlanc |
Yikes, that would have been a 1 hit banishment back to her own crib. +11...for real? :/
Chyras had acid splash readied, since the bull's in range...
Acid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Dmg: 1d3 ⇒ 1
Confirmed miss...
Normal round
Fire crossbow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Chyras LeBlanc |
GM:
I've done this scenario once before with another char.
The 2d6 was on its battleaxe and the horns only had 1d6.
With that char the minotaur's axe was a damaged one when we got to this same situation. Broken from what i hear. With that +11, is that the case here too?
When we fought it, it had just a +3 to it's attack roll, and only a +4 on the dmg roll.
Just wondering.....it feels as if the bull's on a higher tier.
Peran |
Peran will finish pushing his way through the brush and spend one of his arcane points and fire a color spray at the Minotaur.
Will save DC 18
GM Hills |
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
The group lays into the minotaur, seemingly endless attacks upon him all seem to find purchase in his flesh until the spray hits the minotaur and he seems to shake it off.
Giving Drax and Des a bit more time and then we'll push into the next wave...
By the looks of things he has taken 40 damage thus far, just as an fyi
Desiree Deathrage |
The crocodile finally waddles up to the minotaur and attempts to take a bite out of him, while Desiree wards herself then crosses the log.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 201d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 DR/1
Peran |
Peran cobbles together his last spell and arcane point to cast a potent burning hands at the minotaur.
Fire Damage: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) = 10
Reflex DC 15 for half.
GM Hills |
The crocodile's bite is enough to tear the crotch from the minotaur, dropping him and leaving him in a bloody pile of wounds from the beating the group had given him.
As the creature begins to fall, Anfial nearly slices the creature's head off, then Peran's searing flames finish the job, burning the last sinews away and leaving the creature beheaded, though not as bloody a wound as one would expect due to cauterization.
Upon inspection, it appears that Janira had stabilized without the help of the group, though she is still unconscious and badly injured.
Peran |
Peran pulls out his notes and reads some highlights to Janira
"Old aquatic cave carvings, currently mossy... Gilman and shrine to Aroden, wall carvings about the 12 guises of Aroden, maybe different from current book, need to research further..."
Peran shows Janira a very crude map of the caverns and then reads some more notes.
"Half vampire planned to raise gillman army to conquer absalom, lost control of undead. Aroden's power still lingers in the cave, but just barely."
Matsu Anfial |
"I do not kill people who peacefully pray. He told us for one, that he and the other gillman worship the pool because of his pure water at full moon. Because the moon would have effect on the waters." Matsu shrugs."I am not knowledgeable in this fields. But he also said that the miniatur city is an altar to aroden and that people still come and pray. I wanted to do so before, but we decided to search the cavern first. Luckily we did. For you. But back to the miniature city. We found descriptions for four of arodens aspects, farmer, solder, beggar and scholar. As I said before I would like to pay my respect to the old god and if anybody wants to join me?"
Matsu Anfial |
Is there anything still to do? We found the hyroglyphs saying we should do some things. We found the city. We still haven´t done those things. Matsu would like to do those. Like light a small fire in the city and see what happens.
Desiree Deathrage |
Any final comments before I do some wrap up?
Just thanks to you, and to everyone else for pushing through the dead time. I know how hard it is with a new baby, and it would have been very easy to just not finish...but we did it!
