Louis:

Latovius fires off a dagger into the side of the neck of a bandit that had been approaching under the tree he had been hiding in. The man falls to his knees with a hand grabbing at the hilt of the dagger buried deep in his neck, a moment later the body fell backwards dead. Latovius leaped out of the tree and began running back the way this group had come. As he passed Darcy and Louis he yelled, "There are more then you thought! We can't go toe to toe with them. Fall back!"

Darcy saw the man who had ordered this group to his side, likely for some sort of spell of protection or blessing. Her first arrow threaded the small space between the man's shield, shoulder and helm. The arrow punched through the front of the man's skull and knocked the helm off of his head, the man's body fell limply where it had been standing. Darcy's second arrow glanced off of the dying man's shield and buried itself into the roof of the farm house. "Fall back a bit Louis! Let's let Murlsan and the bear get a taste of these fools!"

Louis sees out of the side of his eye a man appear out from behind the tree that Latovius had been hiding in, the man tries to run undetected between sources of cover but fails. The two of them lock eyes and the man looks scared at being seen by the fighter.

The man Louis has spotted is bearing a short sword, dark leathers, a cloak and had previously gone undetected by him. Markas is up, then others, then Louis.

Markas:

"There are sounds of battle distant. We must hurry!"Erik yells as he turns from whatever was unfolding with Gertie and Timerious. It appeared to Erik that whatever it was that it had been resolved. With the two becoming statues there was nothing the warrior could do so the fighter made haste towards the farm and something that he was more familiar with.
Markas is up next, what do you say or do?

Timerious:

"That is why you are here lad." The words echoed in Timerious's ears. He heard and understood them as if the man was standing right next to him instead of a hundred yards away. The man put away his weapon as he advanced, the tattered symbolic cloth upon his chest was a very old symbol of Halav's faith. Timerious had seen the symbol on a shield that Shar kept among her personal items in a tunnel/storage room beneath her forge. It had not been used by the practitioners of Halav's faith in two hundred and fifty years she had explained to Timerious when he had asked her about it. After the man had covered another fifty yards he stopped to move the body of some bull headed beast from the top of a wooden stump. Having a seat on the vacated stump he motioned for you to come over and removed the helm that protected his head. A long blonde matted mane covered the man's head, a similar long thick mustache adorned the man's face. "Come, bring my water and a cloth to clean myself with. Usually when Halav sends me a new charge he's put them through the ringer and they aren't right in the head. It's my task to judge the merit of the men and women Halav has taken an interest in and determine if the madness of chaos has proven too much. Tell me of the path that has brought you hear boy."
What is this place? What happened here?! Why am I here? What am I? Timerious falls to his knees.

Upon hearing the name of his patron Timerious reigns in his terror at the unknowns facing him and looks at the gigantic man. "You speak the name of my patron. What can you tell me of Halav?"

Timerious stands and spying the aforementioned water retrieves it and walks toward the knight.

"I was lost and then I was found. I was lost from my parents and had no family. I wandered alone. I was alone and lost until Shar found me and took me in. I had lost all hope when she placed the hammer in my hand. The heat of the bellows. The ring of the hammer on the anvil. I was found. The glory or the weapons we wrought. The beauty and strength of the iron we forged!" Timerious falls silent, stops and drops his head. "Then I fell again and became lost. I believed Perin and fell under the spell to want more. He promised a shop of my own with a team of smiths to work with and lead. The things we would build! What he brought me were foul orcs and humanoids to provide weapons for. Me! I told him I would not deal with beasts. He imprisoned me and I was lost again. For long days or weeks or years I lost track of time and space. There was only torture and pain. I had lost my way and lost my self. I was lost. The only point of light was the memory of the hammer and the anvil. The memory of Halav turning aside any plans of the evil Vanya. I lived again because of Halav Redhair and the memory of the hammer. I will hold a hammer again. I will!"
Male Human Cleric/2

Regognizing that the flash and now stone appearance of Gertie and Timerious was of a good nature from a higher power and not an attack, Markas heeded Erik's words and moved towards him. (5 foot squares so moved 12)

Markas forces his way through the under brush, not caring for the small scratches delivered by the plants as he went. The sounds of battle in the distance were intermittent but the unmistakable cries of death reached the cleric's ears. He offered a silent prayer to Petra that his friends were not the ones crying out their lasts.

Adrianna grasped her mother's stone shoulder while tears ran down her cheeks, there was nothing the mage could do currently for her mother. "Brion, come let us end the greater threat and then figure out a way to aid mother!" She patted the statue of her mother warmly while brushing her stone cheek before heading towards the sounds of battle.
NPC's half moving this round, but will move fully next round. The thickets up ahead of Markas appear to be thicker, areas of easier passage have been revealed. Louis is up next and then others.

Louis:

Two bandits race towards Louis and the others, one fires off a crossbow bolt with truer aim. The missile strikes Louis in the side, not having any time with so many foes rushing towards him Louis cuts the shaft off with his sword and then ...
-6 hp, +1 hp healed at the start of Louis's turn. Character token adjusted. The nearest foe is not in melee with Louis so he can fall back with an attack of opportunity on him. What do you say or do next?

Louis that last post should say without* an attack of opportunity on him.

AAHhh! pour l'amour de Pete qui fait mal! Louis cries out when hit. He then falls back with Darcy. He hopes that the archers skills will remain true.

Timerious:

The armored man drank heavily of the water skin and mopped his brow and armor off with the rag you had offered him from a satchel slung across your back. In it you also found oil for cleaning armor, small tools for making repairs, a sharpening stone, a small knife, food stuffs, and cloth for cleaning or bandaging. All the items a good squire would need. "Your thoughts and memories are more focused then many of the others lad." The man said after you had finished, he tossed the now empty water skin back to you. "You were never lost nor found boy. Halav preceded you in all things and has prepared for you many opportunities with the aid of other gods or using the tools of those who oppose him. All of these are lessons for you to learn and grow from in order to better serve both him and the people of the lands. You need to reflect and decide for yourself what the lessons of Halav, Orcus, and Petra were supposed to teach you about the faith of Halav. So far the results of what you have learned from these lessons have been found lacking and that is why you are here to be tested." The man stood up from his seat on the stump and waved his empty sword hand as if clearing the air of a bad odor. The carnage of the battlefield vanished and the ground beneath Timerious's feet became solid earth instead of blood soaked mud. "Gather yourself and your thoughts as you follow me to the camp of the unproven and broken. For this great battle will soon start again as it always does. It shall test you so that Halav may learn what you are or aren't capable of." The man replaced the helm upon his head and began walking toward the body of water in the distance. Ahead the tops of tents and the waving of flags could be seen in the distance ahead of where the man was headed. Looking up at the standard Timerious carried in his left hand the flag at the top was no longer so covered in grime as to be unreadable. The symbol of Halav that the man wore upon his chest was now visible on the red flag above as it fluttered a bit in the slight breeze that had picked up off of the distant water.

What do you say or do next? Let me know if there are any questions?

"They.. they killed Dilbin in one shot! Just... just like the others over there!" Called out voice from behind Louis.
"Catch up to the archer and cut them all down fools!" A much louder voice began to command and organize the men, it was not the barking voice of the dwarf.

"Ranger? Is that you? You bit off more then you can chew here w~~*e! I'm going pay you back for what you done to me b~+@$! Just you wait!" There was the voice of the dwarf! It began to sound closer, the bandits must be hot on their heels.
A bolt buries itself deep in Latovius's shoulder, the thief grimaces at this latest development.
Garent goes bounding off at the sight of a bandit approaching from the rear, with two quick swipes one draws blood and a shriek from the foe. Another bandit catches up to Latovius and swings an morning star but the thief is nowhere near where the man swung at.

Markas:

Brion caught up to Adrianna and asked the sorceress. "What happened to them? Your mom has strange magics, did that cause whatever happened?" Adrianna did not respond to the questions but stared straight ahead with fury and focus on her face.

Just then the group heard from up ahead of them somewhere actual audible words, there were no clangs of metal on metal though. "Ranger? Is that you? You bit off more then you can chew here w~~*e! I'm going pay you back for what you done to me b&**&! Just you wait!"

Round 2 complete. Round 3 action upcoming. I'll let you know when it is Markas's turn.

Male Human Fighter/2

Timerious' turn:
Timerious shoulders his pack, scampers after the armored man and falls in behind him. "Am I to be your squire Milord?"

Timerious:

The man stopped in his tracks and turned to regard Timerious after his question was asked. After a pause the man smiled, "You are only the second to ever ask me that question. The equipment you have been given here is to remind you that you are a servant first and a fighter second. You would do well to remember that in everything that you do in your life. Now, shall we be off to the first trial?"

What do you say or do next? Let me know if there are any questions? Attempt any non weapon prof checks that you wish.

Male Human Fighter/2

Timerious' turn:
"Yes Milord. I am ready." Timerious' mind raced with questions. What could he mean by a trial? He also said first trial. Trial for what? Timerious follows close behind the armored man. He said that I was sent by Halav. Why would Halav show interest in a simple man like me? But am I even a man any longer? Timerious takes another look at his small arm and shakes his said in disbelief. He then looks up at the giant man and shakes his head again. What is this place? I think I'm about to find out.

<Louis

Louis:

Darcy pauses briefly in her retreat to turn around, as she does so she draws a pair of arrows from her quiver. The fluidity with which she does so makes it seem to Louis that the move was as natural as breathing to the archer. Within the time it takes to draw a breath both arrows are notched and sent on their way towards her targets. The arrows whistle past Louis as he is running towards Darcy, the bolt in his side reminds him that it is still there as he moves. Louis hears a cry of pain and of death from behind him. After loosing the arrows Darcy then hurries past where Murlsan sat waiting, her plans to draw the bandits to them for the most part appeared to be working. Hopefully Markas, Timerious and the others would execute their end of the plan very soon as well.

Louis is up next, what do you say or do? He heals +1 hp at the start of his turn, you or I can adjust the health (bar 3) of the token on the map. If you adjust it just put a note in your turn that you did so.

Markas:

Louis's turn is up next, there are then some others up after him before Markas's turn.

Timerious:

The armored man kept a brisk pace towards the tents in the distance causing Timerious to jog or even run to catch up at times. If Timerious was his normal self he was sure that keeping pace would be much easier but as he looked down he seemed closer to the ground and his boots were probably a few sizes smaller then normal. Something very odd had happened to him indeed!

From still some distance off an army came into their view. The army was camped out on the plains they were traveling across and beyond the army and their camp was a city that nestled against the shores of the body of water. Docks extended from the city's shore out into the water, a few boats and ships could just be made out from this distance. The man made no move to draw his sword as he continued quickly towards the tents and the army sprawled around them. As Timerious and the man neared this force Timerious could hear songs and smell meals being cooked well before he could determine more details about them. As they got closer still Timerious could tell that elves, halflings, humans, and dwarves made up this force and on the tops of the tents small banners with Halav's symbols fluttered in the breeze. A halfling ran towards the man and Timerious, "Sir! We've managed to catch a goblin spy who had tried to infiltrate the camp. He's still alive and right now he's probably wishing he wasn't, heh heh! What shall we do with it?"

"This lad behind me will see what can be learned from the beast before they attack us. Take him to the spy." The man responded as he pointed over his massive shoulder to Timerious. The halfling, a man of indeterminate age with banded armor, shield, and a rapier at his waist peeked around the large man's legs to regard Timerious for a moment before shrugging his shoulders. The halfling spoke up and waved towards a small grey tent set off to the side of the camp. [b]"Come with me then sir, the prisoner is over here. I sure hope you can get the blasted goblin to spill his guts before that army gets here!"[b] The large man who Timerious had first encountered continued walking toward the largest of the tents while the halfling began walking towards the small grey tent. Neither were currently paying Timerious any sort of attention, they continued moving towards their destinations.

What do you say or do next? Let me know if there are any questions?

Male Human Fighter/2

Timerious' turn:
Timerious turned to accompany the halfling toward the small grey tent.

"Tell me of this army that comes against you? And then tell me of this goblin and how you captured it?"

Timerious:

"You mean us don't you? Your hide is standing between them and their prophet just the same as mine." The halfling corrected Timerious as both of them walked towards the small grey tent. "Our night watches caught sight of the bastard trying to sneak into the big tent last night. After quite a bit of chasing one of the dwarves put a quarrel in its leg, it wasn't too tough to catch up to after that. They've been scouting us for a day or two while their main force approaches. Our scouts that have managed to make it back, and not many do, tell of a great many humanoids heading here. Goblins, orcs, bugbears, and minotaurs who had been united under Kinraduk Boulderfist, the minotaur prophet of Kaarash god over all goblinoids, make their way here to free him. We've got Kinraduk held in the town dungeon over there in Halag." The man waved a hand towards the town not far from the war camp along the shores of the body of water. "The fleet of Traladar should be here tonight to take Kinraduk back to Krakatos. Let the high priests of Halav and the other leaders determine his fate I say!" Outside of the grey tent were four other halflings and just like the one Timerious followed now these too were equipped for war. Timerious and his guide entered the tent, inside a shackled goblin was staked to the ground of the twelve foot around structure. It bled from the wound in its leg and there was some bruising about its head, beyond that it appeared in reasonable enough shape for a humanoid prisoner captured while spying. A battered wooden dresser that was missing a middle drawer served as a table of sorts near the entrance to the tent. Upon it's top were a few knives, daggers, hatchets, and a short sword. In the bottom drawer a few sets of shackles and keys could be seen from where Timerious stood by the tent's entrance. A small fire burned in a dug out firepit near the center point of the tent, a pail of water near to it. "We need to know what this worm knows, many lives in Halag and here in camp depend on it. It speaks common well enough and we have left it mostly unharmed. I'll leave you to what needs to be done. Halav's might to you!" The halfling said, he turned and left the tent.

Halav's might to you is an older blessing or saying that has not seen common use among his followers in at least a hundred years. It is just Timerious and the prisoner currently in the tent. What do you say or do next? Let me know if there are any questions?

Male Human Fighter/2

Timerious' turn:
"I am Timerious. I have been chosen to hear your confession. If you tell us the truth I will send you to be held with Kinraduk until we free him." Why was I sent here to question this beast? I would never torture a helpless creature. I will fight them at every turn and will always stop them but I shall not torture this beast. I must trick it.I want to know when the attack will start and where?"

Louis manages to keep up with Darcy. He looks to the east to see if he sees any new attackers, then looks to the south where he notices three of his group seem to be left behind. Louis is very impressed with Darcy's skills with a bow, but... excellent shooting Darcy, do you still wish that I should stay and guard your back, or shall I join zee others and help them fight our foes? Louis winces in pain from bolt in his side, "where are zee others?" He thinks to himself Does Louis see anything to the east? And I've moved him in roll 20

Timerious:

The goblin turned its head to look up at you, the beast's red eyes stood out in contrast from the dark greenish black skin of its face. "Who Kinraduk? Who attack big peoples army? Me just hungry, big tent have food. Then peoples chase me. Put arrow in leg. Now me here to die me think." It set its head back down on the ground for a few moments, reserved to its fate. Then an idea must have crossed its tiny little mind and it raised its head yet again to look at you. "You let me go? Me never come back. Go long away! Yes, long away!" A grey broken toothed smile crossed the thing's face as it nodded its head at you.

Murlsan moves out from his hiding spot and quickly advances on the two bandits who had been approaching together. With one swing of his maul both threats are decimated and no longer remain standing. Garent swipes quickly twice at the bandit, catching it and bringing it into his chest. With a wild thrashing the bandit's life is extinguished.

As Louis is looking to Darcy and behind her a blade slices him unexpectedly from behind (-3 damage).

Latovius steps behind the wall that is Murlsan's back and fires a dagger into one of the bandit's with a crossbow injuring the man.

The dwarf smiles and charges the big ogre, it swings a gnarled wooden spiked club but fails to connect. One of his bandit friends throws a spear at Murlsan which does hit the big ogre. A crossbow bolt is also fired at the ogre but it does not find its mark. A black robed man approaches and stand behind the bandits with crossbows. He wiggles his hands at Murlsan and Latovius falls to the ground.

A cry of pain or death was heard off to the east from where Markas and the others currently stood. The sound was closer then the earlier sounds of occasional battle or shouts. Brion moves out as well and chooses a different path from Adrianna as he can not move as quickly as the mage.

While not as fleet of foot as Adrianna, Markas followed the woman's lead and moved towards the East and the sound of the cry. Petra willing the cry came from the enemy of the land and not from one of the cleric's comrades.

It seemed like only moments from when the group split. It can't be too far now, thought Markas straining his eyes for any visual information.

Timerious' turn:
Turning to the goblin, Timerious squatted down near it.

"The deal we are going to make doesn't have you leaving until we let the prophet leave. You will leave with him. I need to know when the attack will come so I can stop it."

Timerious will attempt to persuade the goblin.persuasion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

"Tell me when the attack starts and where and I will take you to the prophet and you will have food."

Timerious:

"Peoples giving up with no fight?" The goblin asked with a shocked expression of disbelief upon its face immediately as Timerious stopped speaking. "Stupid weak peoples! Maybe Kinraduk spare you, maybe not! Better chance for you live then when horde smash and take Kinraduk back!" The goblin laughed loudly in its tinny nasally sounding voice as it shook with glee. Briefly it flexed against its restraints as it attempted to raise its shackled hands to you but could not.

Louis:

A bandit approaches the ogre who was distracted by the dwarf, he does not land a blow. A man grasps a medallion around his neck and outstretches a hand towards Murlsan. Darkness envelopes the ogre's upper form instantly. A bolt streaks into the darkness from one of the bandits, a grunt is heard but the impact of the missile is hard to gauge.

Louis:

With the darkness suddenly appearing before the archer's with crossbows they move from their spot to find a better vantage point. One man stumbles upon Garent the bear and in his shock the crossbow bolt he fired went wide. Garent charges at the man and swipes at him twice with his front paws. The second swipe knocks the man to the ground never to rise again. A bandit quickly takes the dead man's place but the sight of his dead friend unnerves him so much that he loses the grip on his sword and it clatters to the ground.

"Go with I and Kinraduk? Good dream for you! Before the peoples all burn! Burn from the goblin fury! Oh, the sweet smell of peoples burning flesh! Feast upon them all we will!" The goblin writhed in ecstasy against the shackles cackling with glee oblivious that you were kneeling nearby. Suddenly the goblin appears to snap out of its frenzy, "Kaarash, give big words to Kaarash and then we go with Kinraduk!" It stared at you with its red eyes as it ran a mottled pink tongue over its broken grey teeth.

Struggling to move through all the shrubbery, Markas made his way as fast as he could towards the cries of battle. He strained his eyes to see sign of friend or foe along the way.

Petra give me the strength and speed to do your will.

Timerious:

The goblin looked at you through squinted eyes and a furrowed brow. "Kaarash, oh strong and mighty one! Mightier then all others, to you I give myself body and spirit!" The goblin did not move any bit of it's twitchy little body, it was eerily still as it waited for your response. In the sudden still silence of the tent Timerious notices that the noise of a camp full of warriors and soldiers outside of the tent changes slightly. While there are still plenty of unintelligible conversations, songs, and laughter that reach Timerious's ears from the many men and women in the vicinity of this tent. There are also a few shouts whose words can not be made out.

Timerious:

The tent flap opens and the halfling from earlier rushes in with his sword drawn. "Fires have broken out in Halag, what have you learned from this one?" The halfling puts a hand up as Timerious begins to speak to cut him off. "Be quick with your telling and then we need you to hurry to Halag. We have a small contingent of dwarves going there now to deal with the cause of the fires as well as to get folks to the docks where all manner of boats should await them. Hurry and you should catch up to them, take a weapon or two from the dresser by the door on your way out should you need one. Halav's might to you!" The tip of the halfling's sword draws blood from the soft green flesh underneath the goblin's chin. "Stop your squirming cur! You haven't been able to free yourself yet and if you try again it will be your last!" The halfling's movement reveals to Timerious that one of the goblin's hands has gotten much closer to being free of its shackle. The little bastard had managed to hide his escape efforts while Timerious's mind was focused on how to trap or trick the beast into revealing to him information! Who had been tricking who just now?

Timerious' turn:
The sight of the goblin's hand so close to freedom turns Timerious' face to stone. Why did I believe a beast would be trustworthy?

"It didn't say anything of interest. They never do."

Turning to the table Timerious tucks a knife and the hand axe in his belt and twists the short sword back and forth to feel the heft of the weapon in his hand. When did a weapon ever feel so perfect? A short sword is certainly a weapon to be reckoned with. It is truly a weapon of the gods.

"Halav's might to you. Where are the dwarves?"

Then I'm gonna carve that b~%#& up behind you but good!" Louis's cry and call to Darcy is heard as the archer fires off two arrows but neither find the bandit. Timerious:

The halfling drives his sword into the goblin's neck ending it. "Pity, you were supposed to give us something we could use. Perhaps you shall fare better with what is going on in town. Make haste to Halag, somewhere between the camp and town you should catch up to the dwarves. Move!" The half man snaps at Timerious angrily as he cleans off the blade on the dead goblin's chest.

Timerious quickly exits the tent leaving the dead goblin and angry halfling behind. He pauses for but a moment outside to pick up the standard he had rested there before entering. Running through the outskirts of the camp rather then weaving through all the forces with the short sword in his right hand and the flag in his left Timerious is breathing heavily by the time he passes beyond the last tents of the gathered army. There must be four or five hundred men strong in this army he thought to himself as he paused to catch his breath. Timerious does not see the dwarves but maybe two miles away he can see the city of Halav, fires appeared to be scattered and burning in ten or so different areas of the city. He takes off running and is laboring heavily by the time he catches sight of twenty or so dwarves that are moving at double time towards the town of Halag, which was about a half mile in the distance. Timerious pushes himself to catch up to the dwarves and finally does so as the dwarves are about to enter the city. "What are you about boy-o? Come with a message from the camp? There's people needin' evacuatin and fires needin' to be stopped!" A female dwarf flanked by three others calls out at your rapid approach, upon the shield in front of her is Halav's symbol. Timerious about doubles over to try and catch his breath, in between gasps he notices that the red leather belt that had been around his waist is gone as are the unsheathed dagger and hand axe he had tucked behind it back at camp.

The symbol on the shield is one that Timerious is more familiar with and is used to seeing displayed. Timerious also notices that he is not much taller then these dwarves and was maybe a head taller then the halfling back at the camp. You have your bag, chainmail armor, the standard and the short sword. What do you say or do next? Feel free to attempt any non-weapon proficiency rolls you would like. Louis:

After Darcy's failures she quickly draws another pair of arrows and shifts her position to negate the bandit's cover. Never taking her eyes off of the man who threatened Louis the archer looses her arrows and both again miss the dangerous man in front of Louis.

+ 1hp, figure adjusted on the map. Louis is up next in this round. What do you do or say?

Timerious:

Timerious wonders to himself what he can do to aid or lead this group of battle ready dwarves as he was instructed to do in the camp. The woman blurts out, "Who told you what?! Bah! No matter. Work with these three ladies to clear block by block of survivors and whatever be startin the fires. When each block is clear blow once, ya come into trouble blow thrice. Head to the docks if you get lost or when your done." Timerious looks about wondering what the heck he was supposed to blow when he noticed that each of the dwarves had a ram's horn attached to the red leather belt about their waists. While Timerious was looking about the group splits apart into about equal size groups and they disperse into various parts of the city.

The three female dwarves say little to Timerious as they set out for the northeast side of Halag to begin their efforts. Given only two options, stand around and watch the city burn or lend aid Timerious chooses he latter. The area where the small group starts is not currently ablaze and is not very chaotic at the moment. The small group begins banging on doors to homes, often no one answers to their cries and pounding. Occasionally a resident or family is in the process of gathering belongings and should shortly finish, all promise that they will head to the docks as quickly as they can. Timerious is working alongside one of the dwarves, the other two are clearing the next street over, when three houses ahead of him on the street he sees a goblin crawl out of the sewers.

The homes between Timerious and the goblin have not been checked yet. The dwarf he is working with has just entered a house and you were preparing to knock on the house next to it. Timerious' turn:
Vermin! It figures that these goblins are starting the fires. If only I hadn't lost my red leather belt I would blow my horn three times! Since I don't have it I'm going to skewer that goblin like they deserve!

Timerious starts to run toward the goblin while readying his short sword for a killing thrust.

May the might of Halav be with me!

Louis:

Louis's theatrics with his sword cause his swing to go wide of his foe when it comes time to try and hit him. The man still smiles mockingly in Louis's face while moving to keep Louis between the archer and himself. Indeed this man must be blessed with luck from the gods! Louis didn't want to entertain thoughts of the other reasons. Louis hears Darcy cry out in pain from behind him, he does not risk taking his eyes off of the man in front of him though.

Louis's turn is up, Markas is up next and then others in this round

Markas:

Markas hears the sounds of fighting from very nearby as he is forcing his way through a thicket. He stops and crouches a bit among the heavy brush that he has forced his way into and looks in the direction of the sounds. Timerious rushes at the goblin down the street, with his sword straight out and standard resting on his left shoulder Timerious can't believe his good fortune! The little humanoid was just getting its bearings after its climb out of the sewer and seemed unaware of his approach. Timerious stabbed forward with his short sword at the unaware creature and ran it through. Pushing the goblin off of his sword with his left forearm he heard a shattering noise behind him.

Turning Timerious sees the side and roof of one of the unchecked homes covered in spreading flames. Another goblin now stood in the street between him and the home that had been set a blaze. Before Timerious could do anything that same goblin reached into a tattered bag at its side, with drew something in a flask, and flung it at a different house. This time the vessel shattered a window in the home and within moments flames could be seen on the inside of that house as well.

Timerious' turn:
Timerious' blood boils as if it was on fire. These goblins aren't fit to see the light of day. They should stay in their holes and sewers! Timerious makes a quick decision while he seethes in anger. Raising his banner in his left hand and raising his sword in his right Timerious charges toward the goblin bellowing "Halav, Halav, Halaaavvv!"

Timerious:

Blinding rage washes over Timerious, his field of vision changes in an instant. A house lined street with debris left behind by those fleeing focuses down to just this dirt covered goblin sewing chaos and destruction. The goblin turns as Timerious rushes at it yelling out to Halav. One of its hands reaches for something in the grimy bag at its side as it looks at him. Timerious stabs the goblin with his short sword, the little thing twists and cries out in agony at the attack. The goblin had managed to withdraw another vial from the bag and in slow motion Timerious watches as it slips from the goblin's grasp and shatters on the ground. A sudden burst of flame spews forth when the contents of the vial are spilled, fire and searing heat washing over Timerious and the goblin. The intense heat snuffs the life from the goblin and causes Timerious significant harm. Before Timerious can fully recover from the blast of fire, a clubbing blow hits Timerious in the shoulder from behind. Without thinking he pivots and swings his sword, it slices open the forearm of yet another goblin. This latest goblin swings a section of broken metal pipe and connects with Timerious's hand, sending his sword from his grasp. On blind impulse alone the standard cracks the little goblin upside the head sending it backwards a step. Blind rage and survival instinct driving his actions Timerious smashes the goblin again in the head with the standard, dropping it to its knees. Slamming the butt of the pole down hard onto the kneeling goblin punches it down onto the cobblestone road where it writhes and tries to roll away to safety. The bottom of the pole smashes into it over and over again as it tries to escape. When it can find no escape the goblin curls up into a ball on the ground. Sobs and cries of pain escape from the humanoid as it attempts to protect itself from the rain of blows.

Timerious holds his left hand over his left eye as he looks upward. His right eye sees the dwarven woman he was working with to clear homes standing above him, behind her is another of the dwarves. He sees the woman's mouth moving but no sound reaches his ears. He turns his head to try and figure out where he was and what had happened. The street, homes, skyline around him, everything is pure chaos. Flames leap skyward from buildings and homes, people rush past them on the street, smoke and cinders fill the air. Bodies of people trapped inside the blazing buildings occasionally hang out of upper story windows or lie still on the ground where they leaped to try and escape the flames. Two goblin corpses lay still not far away on the cobblestone street behind the dwarves. The woman steps forward and yanks Timerious to his feet, his world still completely silent. He removes his left hand from over his eye and discovers he can see nothing at all with that eye. At his feet he sees the standard he had been carrying, the bottom portion covered in gore. A brutalized and mutilated corpse is leaking blood from a myriad of wounds, at one point it may have been a goblin but it was difficult make that distinction now. A violent shake brings Timerious's focus back to the dwarf, "... this one to the docks!" Sound returned to Timerious's world as the woman gave him a shove and he teetered backward on his heels. "Ya hear me now boy-o? Get yourself ta the docks if ya can. This place has turned ta shit!"

Round complete, let me figure out order and initial action for the next one. I'll let you know when it is your turn.

Markas:

Markas advances upon the bandits after forcing his way through the brush. Why he had chosen to travel through the thickest part of the woods rather then skirt its edges like the others is a question that suddenly crosses his mind.

A dark robed man extends an arm at Erik and an arcane pulse blasts into the young fighter. Brion rushes past Markas and swings wildly at an armored bandit, the sword clatters off of the man's shield. The man retorts with a swing of a morning star, that too is met by Brion's shield.

Male Human Fighter/2

Timerious' turn:
Timerious woozily turns around."Where is my sword? Where is my sword?" Stumbling forward he picks up the tattered standard. The standard provides a steadying calm as well as a steady pole to lean against. "I can't go without my sword."If Timerious' sword is handy and he can locate it he will pick it up. If not he will start to move to the docks without it.Timerious staggers forward in the direction the crowd is moving."Where are the docks?"

Louis:

Blades flash and clash all around Louis in the combats, with almost nothing connecting.

Others have actions yet to be resolved, I'll let you know when it is your turn.

Markas:

Blades and weapons flash and clash all around Markas in the combats, with almost nothing connecting. Brion draws a nasty gash on the side of a bandit wearing chain mail and bearing a shield. A bolt streaks in and finds Brion in the forearm doing significant damage. The dark robed man infront of Erik mutters something and vanishes from view.

Markas is up next. What do you say or do next?
