Radomir babbles incoherently.
The Winds of Fate |
The crit is confirmed and the extra damage is just enough to drop the creature.
The blob like creature of mouths and eyes appears to melt away from Othniel as it becomes a gelatinous heap laying on the cavern floor. It is a disgusting mass of solid bits (like teeth) floating in semi-solid jello.
You are now out of rounds.
The Winds of Fate |
On the alter you see a fist-sized cat’s eye chrysoberyl atop the altar is worth 500 gp.
her wrath and being cursed should any of you defile or steal from her shrine. Whether or not these stories are true in this chrysoberyl’s case is left to you.
On the body of the cleric you find: A ceremonial dagger, a delicate looking shawl over a set of shabby robes, a holy symbol of Gyronna and a golden ring set with a small cat's eye stone.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Using Loremaster for a 29.
Alexander looks over the items with detect magic. Andrea, can you consecrate this place? Or descrate. He frowns, It doesn't matter as long as the connection to Gyronna is destroyed. The tall man chuckles, Then take whatever is worth selling.
The Winds of Fate |
Since you can take 10 on everything:
Ceremonial dagger +1

Finnegan "Devilbow" Rook |
Finnegan eyes the ring. "Is there a way for us to use this ring to find its match? If it's designed to communicate, there must be a second one somewhere. We could find the person with it."
Finnegan "Devilbow" Rook |
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
Finnegan sniffs for a moment, then notices the slight change in air temperature. "Uh-oh. Why do I get the feeling someone just lit a fire upstairs?"
Turning, he bolts down the corridor for the access back to the house.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Alexander chuckles when he sees the small elemental. Well, let's get out of here before it burns everything down! He'll rush by the creature (possibly taking an attack of opportunity) trying to distract it for the others.
The Winds of Fate |
If desired, everyone can get in one attack on the small fire elemental before it giggles as it fades back into its native realm and you are all left in the burning house.
The floor of the house is just dirt, so that has not caught fire, obviously. The roof is mere thatch and clumps of burning, dried straw is beginning to rain down upon your heads. All the curtains are mostly consumed and the meager furniture is on fire.
Due to the lack of furniture, the way to the front door is clear, though the wooden door is also on fire.
Everyone make a Reflex save dc 12+, Pass no damage, Fail take 1d4 fire damage from falling debris on your way out.: 1d4 ⇒ 3
This will happen each round you wish to stay in the house.
Whoever opens the door takes 1d6 fire damage from doing so. Everyone else can pass through fine.: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Someone can break down the door and all can exit in one round if you wish.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Alexander rushes forward and kicks down the door for the others. His boot and cloak catch on fire and he stamps on it out front of the house. He immediately stops and starts summoning an elemental of his own.
Using summon nature's ally II to summon a small water elemental.
The Winds of Fate |
Once you get outside, people are split between running around frantically or just standing there and staring at the fire.
The people living on either side of the burning house are running in and out of their homes as they try to remove their most prized possessions before the fire can spread to them.
A couple of your cityguardsmen come running up to the scene, summoned by the smoke and yelling.
A lone little kobold is waiting off to one side, waiting to speak with any of you while watching the fire with intense fascination.
The closest water source is the well in the town square, a couple blocks from you.
Alexander, you are successfully able to summon up a water elemental and it awaits your instructions.
Finnegan "Devilbow" Rook |
Reflex: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Finnegan takes a moment to look about the house and see if he can find any sign of who summoned the fire elemental - his infernal heritage allowed him to avoid the pain of small burns.
Fire resistance 5 FTW.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Once he'd done so, he'd be the last out of the house. Upon seeing the two guardsmen, he says, "You two - start organizing a bucket brigade. The well in the town square two blocks over should have plenty of water. Get the citizens' help! Hurry!"
He scans the crowd outside for someone who doesn't appear to be panicked like the others.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
