Radomir stands watch over the dying lady, glaive at the ready in case she rebounds and attacks Andrea.

I'm really beginning to hate fey.

We need to invest in more cold iron

Andrea, you successfully stabilize the fey woman.

Shaking his head, now free of the spell, Finnegan looks sheepishly at Alexander and says, "My apologies. I appear to be quite susceptible to a pretty face."

Examining the sheer amount of items they'd found, he said, "We definitely can't get the statue out of here without a cart. The rest of it we could load on our horses and head back to Voranakholm, though. I wouldn't want to continue exploring with that much on us, though."

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Quite, the statue most certainly.

You would need a cart for at least the statue, water clock and wardrobe.

The Lady has stopped bleeding thanks to Andrea, but is still unconscious.

Your group has explored the entirety of this keep now.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Shall we make camp here? COnsidering this fey was the 'lady' of the place I doubt there will be many intruders.

That would be wise. We should bindher, though. with cold iron if possible. And keep her under constant watch.

"Agreed. No sense in her recovering and sneaking off. Maybe gag her to make sure she can't talk, either."

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Alexander shrugs, Feel free if you have any. I'm not too concerned with her health. Such creatures are rarely controllable. The man frowns, I'm not sure if we'd all be able to shrug off her magic if she manages it a second time so watch her carefully.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Indeed, bind her arms and legs.

"We could just kill her. I don't know that she'll necessary be useful to us, unless you think she possesses knowledge we may need."

Male Tiefling (of half-elven descent) Gestalt Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest 3

"Best bind her such that she can't dance again. But I think we should hold off on killing her just yet. She might have information that would prove useful.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Hamstring her?

Radomir pulls out a length of rope and quickly ties the woman's arms and legs. Hamstringing her would be best.

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Alexander shrugs, If you think she may have knowledge, it'd be best to tie her up. Mutilating her will turn her against us more than she might otherwise be inclined. He chuckles, Just make sue it's only knowledge you're after. He finishes with a wink at Othniel.

Let's move the mounts inside the walls and prepare to rest here. Alexander heads out to do so and leaves the others to decide how to 'interrogate' the prisoner.

Andrea will secure the mounts with Alexander, leaving those with the lady to decide.

Radomir stand steady to strike should the woman be... aggressive

The Lady will not waken on her own tonight.

Assuming you all agree, you make your camp for the night within the keep. Given the past inhabitants, nothing native to the area is foolish enough to wander within its walls, so the rest of your night will pass uneventfully.

By morning, the Lady will have woken, but appears to be too weak to move on her own and is displeased to find herself tied up.

male Human Cavalier 6 | HP: 28/59| AC: 25/14/24/23 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11(+13 v surprise)| F:+9 / R: +4 / W: +3 (+4 vs fear/compulsion) | Sentence 4/4 |Circuit:150 mi from keep

Radomir doesn't norm show her kindness, but he is not unduely cruel to her, unless she strikes against his lord or companions.

We have questions for you. You will answer truthfully or you will suffer.

Othniel smiles at Alexander, and gives him a gesture that's half nod, half bow. "Of course, my lord. Business before pleasure." he says with a smile. For now, we need to know what she knows. There'll be time enough to get to know her later. I hope.

Male Tiefling (of half-elven descent) Gestalt Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest 3

later on...

Othniel approaches the bound woman, stepping closer than Radomir, and crouching down to her level. Looking her in the eye, he says "We have no wish to harm you. But make no mistake, my lord rules these lands now. If you are not willing to bend the knee, I fear you will suffer consequences. I don't want that. I would truly hate to see such a beautiful flower crushed underfoot. Could we find common cause? Share your knowledge of these lands with us, and perhaps we can help you to achieve your goals. What is it that brought you here?"

Radomir growls so adorably :3

I suspect that as one of the fey, she has been here for quite some time before we ever set foot here so we are the intruders. What is more serious is the attacks on us by yourself and the other fey we met here. The plants were plants but launching attacks upon us without even bothering to present yourselves and announcing that this place was your domain has brought only misery on yourself. If you had met us openly, then I say none of this would have happened. So, convince us to treat you better.

Feeling much better from his evening of sleep, Alexander rises early and stretches in the courtyard. He takes a bit of time to check his poisoned wound and, satisfied with its progress, he heads back inside to join the others.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

Alexander feigns disinterest as the others speak to the woman. With crossed arms he leans against the wall casually. The man smiles as he looks out the windows, admiring the view granted by the magical effect.

Yes...convince us, he says over his shoulder without turning from the view. Only the slightest hint of malice touches his voice. Just enough to emphasize the precarious position the creature has found itself within.

Less is oftentimes more.

The Lady looks rather uncertain on how to proceed under this sort of circumstance and looks over the group, trying to figure out a proper response that won't get her killed.

"I can be of use to you. I know this surrounding area quite well and would be more than willing to share that knowledge with you."

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

That is a beginning. Accurate information on other inhabitants and dangers. Perhaps any resources like mines, tombs, or valuable woods?

male Human Cavalier 6 | HP: 28/59| AC: 25/14/24/23 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11(+13 v surprise)| F:+9 / R: +4 / W: +3 (+4 vs fear/compulsion) | Sentence 4/4 |Circuit:150 mi from keep

Radomir nods grimly and keeps his glaive at the ready. He stands back from the group, but remains primed to strike should the woman prove false.

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Alexander nods, but lets the others continue the interrogation without interference.

"To begin with, the nearest other inhabitants live within about a half days ride from here, but in opposite directions. To the southwest lives a rare and legendary monster, a Hodag. To the northeast lies the a grove that is the home to a dryad druid named Tiressia and her satyr consort Falchos."

She seems a bit concerned about telling you too much at once, doubtless out of concern that you will simply kill her at that point.

Male Tiefling (of half-elven descent) Gestalt Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest 3

Othniel watches her closely, searching for any sign of deception

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Searching his memory to recall anything he knows of hodags, he asks "What, pray tell, is a hodag? By the way, what is your name? We should have some proper way of addressing you rather than referring to you as 'woman' or 'prisoner'."
Knowledge(nature): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Othniel will compare what she says about hodags to his memory, to discern whether or not she is lying. Assuming he can remember anything.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Well this is a start. Assuming correct information I say there is no need to inflict any more harm on you. Andrea looks to the others. Since this keep is in such poor state and out of the way, allowing her to stay is reasonable, but we would need assurances that she would no seek to harm us in the future.

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21

Alexander simply watches the proceedings without comment.

As a magical beast, I'll need a roll of Knowledge Arcana if you wish to know anything about Hodags.

The Lady answers Othniel's questions; "A Hodags are foul beasts, as stout as bulls with the scaley and spiked body of reptiles. They have horns on their heads and have been known to toss full grown man into the air with them."

"As for what to call me, I'm known around here simply as the Dancing Lady, but my name is Lilandria."

Both sense motives detect only truth so far.

Male Tiefling Slayer 6 | AC 19 (20), T 14, FF 15 16 | Fort +7, Ref +10, Will +4 | HP 50/50 | Init +4 | Perception +12, darkvision | Insightful Strike 1/day

Finnegan puts his arrow away and leans back against the wall, waiting to see what Alexander's decision is - and if they will allow her to live.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Andrea doesn't have any more questions and looks at Alexander to see if he wants anything more.

Male Tiefling (of half-elven descent) Gestalt Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest 3

I've got a +4 in Arcana as well, so the result would be the same

"And I am called Othniel, Lilandria. Pleased to meet you, now that we aren't trying to kill each other." the half-elf says with a wry smile, thinking the better of offering his hand. Satisfied with the answers so far, he turns and cocks an eyebrow at Alexander, awaiting his Lord's decision.

Radomir The knight barks. He remains cold and aloof from the woman, yet ever vigilant should she prove false. Have a care with your words, woman.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Andrea, pleased to meet you.

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Alexander shrugs, still showing a lack of interest, Lilandria, pretty name. It appears you have piqued the interest of my companions. Lucky you. He turns from the 'window' to look down upon the captive with bemusement. He rests one hand on his sword belt as the other sways as he continues to speak, I suppose we'll just have to let you live. Alexander looks about the room, I like your home. He sighs and loops his thumbs through his belt. So, what will you do if we let you live? Will you continue to live here? Move? Will you try to hunt us down? Our Kingdom could certainly use someone with your skills.

"I know not yet what I would do. I would be loathe to move anywhere again on my own. I certainly am not the type that hunts down things. I am much more used to prey that comes to me or the offerings that the Grimstalker would make to me."

Othniel, the 14 in Know: Nature is not quite enough to tell you anything about a Hodag.

Male Aasimar Bard (Animal Speaker) 6 , HP 46/46, AC 22 [Touch 16, Flat 17], CMD: 23 Init +4, Perception +0 (60' Darkvision)

Honesty? I wasn't expecting that. Alexander frowns and scratches his chin as he thinks about the situation, Interesting. The man turns back to the window and looks out over the forest. Othniel? What do you think? What shall we do with Lady Lilandria?

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Grimstalker?

Male Tiefling (of half-elven descent) Gestalt Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest 3

Othniel takes a moment to gather his thoughts. The seed of an idea is forming, one that might serve several purposes, both the nation's and his own. "I had thought earlier, as we were exploring the castle, that its location and fortified nature would make for an excellent prison. Voronakholm has few criminals at this time, but as the city grows, so will its...less desireable elements. If the lady" he says, nodding to Lilandria, "would agree to handle them here, I would be happy to have her serve as warden of our prison. I have no doubt you are more than capable of taking care of with Voronakholm's few miscreants, though it might result in a slight increase in the number of...guests you take care of in these parts." he turns again to Alexander. "I would, of course, handle prisoner transport myself, and check up on the Lady's efforts periodically. Perhaps we could also arrange to repair some of the castle's more decrepit sections" he says, gesturing in the direction of the broken wall through which they had entered. "the better to confine those condemned to Lady Lilandria's custody. Of course, we would also need assurance that she never harm our nation's noble leaders," he says, indicating himself and the rest of the party "and keeps tabs on the local area, informing us of any unusual goings-on." With that, he glances between Alexander and Lilandria, gauging their reactions.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Hmm... A prison. Just how do you feed? I do not assume you feed on the meat of sentient beings, but if you do than you would be well suited to executing the worst offenders. Andrea looks around .I am certain e could repair your castle to be a fine dwelling.

male Human Cavalier 6 | HP: 28/59| AC: 25/14/24/23 | Init: +4 | Perc: +11(+13 v surprise)| F:+9 / R: +4 / W: +3 (+4 vs fear/compulsion) | Sentence 4/4 |Circuit:150 mi from keep

Radomir nods.Aye, what is a grimstalker?

Male Tiefling Slayer 6 | AC 19 (20), T 14, FF 15 16 | Fort +7, Ref +10, Will +4 | HP 50/50 | Init +4 | Perception +12, darkvision | Insightful Strike 1/day

Finnegan, content with the group's decision, says, "A prison would be efficient use of this space. Isolated, well-fortified. We would need to arrange for more security than just Lady Liliandria, of course."

He has no idea what a Hodag or a Grimstalker is.

Lilandria answers the others questions while she ponders the idea of this place becoming a prison.

"A Grimstalker is a type of forest fey known for killing all who enter the area they guard. They take the skulls of their prey as trophies and display them around their territory."

"I can eat anything I want, just like any fey or elf. Though I must also consume blood on a regular basis."

"I am not sure what I think of this place becoming prison, though I would like to see it restored to its former beauty. Tell me, would I be answerable to anyone other than you fellows? Keeping tabs on the local area would be no problem, I do that anyway. Never harming the nation's leaders?" Lilandria kinda gives a little shrug. "Unless any of you intend to cause me harm again first, either by action or by detected thought, I can likely give that assurance."

"I would also be interested in knowing how I would benefit from this arrangement. And yes, I know that my life is the most obvious answer. Though obviously none of you have ever killed one of my kind to know what happens then. I assume I would be able to take whatever sustenance I needed from the prisoners? Will there be guards here under my command? Can I request proper supplies for my hobbies and a new wardrobe?"

Liliandria seems interested in this setup, but obviously wants to make sure she is not viewed as a prisoner herself.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Feeding off the prisoners would be agreeable, especially the ones condemned to death. Just don't go through them so fast that people prefer death to coming here. The guards would be under your command as warden. Andrea looks at Alex. Subject to any overruling we do of course.

Just what would your hobbies be? New clothes, yes.

"I like to embroider tapestries."
