Soren succeeds in hitting the bandit with one of his arrows.
Only remaining living bandit in the courtyard now is the one up on the catwalk, roughly 20 feet away and ten feet up.
With a lack of targets, Radomir holds until he sees something that he can hit.
A large and angry Owlbear comes out of the gate, swinging its head around as it adjusts to the light and tries to pick a target.
Radomir now charges at the Owlbear and makes solid contact with the beast who hoots in pain.
The last bandit is none too happy to have an arrow in him, so he decides to leave you guys with the owlbear and enters a door just five feet from the gate, still up on that catwalk.

Round 4: Initiative 22
Well, it appears that bandit wasn't lying, after all! Alexander laughs, as he waves his hand, conjuring grease beneath the large creature.
Casting Grease [DC 15] directly underneath the owlbear.

Radomir pulls hard on Czernabog's reins, wheeling the steed around in a tight spin. The horse neighs and paws at the air in frustration and then charges the ground. Lance lowered, Radomir leans into the saddle, rushing towards the owlbear with grim determination.
Die! Beast!
Soren Bowman |
Soren fires off two arrows at the owlbear before it can attack his friends.
Focus on that beast. It's dangerous.

If the remaining bandit is visible still or able to be seen within a 30 ft move, Eduard will move and cast Magic Missile at the bandit.

Otherwise he will fire his crossbow at the Owlbear.

Round 4 Init: 16
"We have dealt with it's kind before." With that he turns around. He looked odd, arms as long as his spear, but it was useful. Without much effort he got into place to stab the beast while also maintaining a safe distance.
Precise course of action will depend on the situation. If Thaliar can reach the beast from where he stands (with 10 ft reach) he attacks and then moves so that he can hit anything that comes out on the catwalk.
If he can't reach the beast he'll move so it's in reach and then attack.
Move Depends, see above

Thaliar misses his attack upon the Owlbear.
Eduard strikes the Owlbear with his crossbow bolt.
Bandit was able to go through the door on his turn.
Soren hits the beast with both of his arrows.
Radomir successfully skewers the prone Owlbear.
The Owlbear is now even angrier than normal and is sporting some bloody wounds.
While laying on the ground, it lashes out with both paws and beak at Radomir:
claw: 1d20 - 4 + 8 ⇒ (15) - 4 + 8 = 19

Combat over for the moment.
Radomir Shax |
Radomir grimaces as he dismounts from Czernabog and sees the horses wounds before tending his own. [b]Andrea, could you please tend my wounds?[/ooc]
He's down 10 hp
Alexander Orlovsky |
This place is not so large. I imagine he already has. Or, at least, will reach them before we can catch them. He looks about the courtyard and speaks, No, we meet them here. We've killed their beast and half their men. Chasing them in their fort means they'll have the advantage. Let them come to us.
Soren, hop up into that tower or the catwalk to cover us. Eduard...how are you on spells? Should you be up there, or down here with us? He looks over at Radomir and slaps his shoulder, Good work, he says, as he casts a spell.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Keep an eye out for more. Same plan as before. If they keep coming, we keep killing them. If they stop...then we'll go hunting.
Eduard Petrov |
Eduard looks up from tugging at the damage to his clothing, Huh? Oh, I'm fine. If they come out of an entryway together, it is most effective for me to be near the doorway. But if we can't predict their point of entry, I might as well stay with the rest of you.
Soren Bowman |
Apparently Paizo ate my round 5 post. It had about the same results as the one the GM put up for me though.
Soren nods at Alexander and heads up to the tower, keeping his bow at the ready in case any bandits are hiding up there waiting for him.
Radomir Shax |
My thanks, my lord. I am your instrument. Use me as you will. He mounts back onto Czernabog's strong back. Thank you, as well, Andrea. I can not serve my lord if I am not well. If you all stay near me, I can guide our steps to catch them unawares and find better strikes.
I can give you guys a free tactician feat for a bit...
Thaliar Medevin |
Thaliar moves over to Radomir pulling out a small flask from the puch on his belt. His arms hadn't shrunk back to normal yet so he still looked rather odd. "Radomir, hold on to this. If we ever need to go inside so Czernabog can't follow you can use this. It makes you double in size for short while and the effect includes your equipment. It will give you an extra punch in case mounted combat is not an option."
Offering Radomir the Enlarge Person infusion for later use
The Winds of Fate |
There are no living bandits in the tower that Soren climbs into.
Your group waits a bit, weapons ready, expecting to be charged at any second.
And then....
Nothing happens.
Nothing at all. You see no bandits and don't even hear any noise that would suggest that someone is coming out to properly greet you with cold steel.
Nothing comes out of the door the bandit escaped into.
Nothing else is stirring in the courtyard.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Alexander chuckles, It seems we might as well. Let's see what we can find. Radomir, you and I will lead the way. He makes his way forward to the door and prepares to open it when people are ready.
Radomir Shax |
Radomir nods and slowly rides to wears the dork, clearly not relishing the need to dismount. Aye, my lord. At the door, he will dismount and walk beside his lord and master. He will pause a moment for anyone to search the door for traps before bursting it in with a stout kick.
The Winds of Fate |
Though the walls of the hallway look unstable, that is due to mere age, not traps. Just a few feet into the hallway, it opens up into a large central room, lit up brightly from the sunlight streaming in through several holes in the roof. In the exact center of the room lays a large straw-filled sleeping pallet which is surrounded by a collection of knight and dragon toys. On the pallet lays a large man, still gripping a now empty mug in one hand who seems to just now be waking up from a sound slumber.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Alexander strides into the room and sneers at the man. You wouldn't happen to be this Stag Lord we keep hearing about? I expected someone less...pathetic.
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Alexander doesn't plan on letting him letting the man gain his footing. He steps forward with weapon ready. Now, here's where we ask for your surrender. If I were you...I'd resist. Dying while fighting is preferable to what fate awaits you. He shrugs and his sneer breaks into a smirk, But, it's your choice, of course.

Round 1
Eduard and Alexander both hit with their shots. 21 total
Auchs roar in pain and rushes with his club at the person who caused him the greatest damage. Alexander
attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Andrea's attack staggers the brute and he looks at your group in surprise at being taken down so quickly.
He quickly begins blubbering and begging for his life to be spared.
Soren's attack will fell the large simpleton, unless he feels like sparing the guy his life.
Either way, out of round now and there is only one other doorway out of this room, directly opposite of the one you entered in it.
Radomir Shax |
Simple though he is, he may have heard more of our foe's plans. Or, he may know his tactics. At the very least, he could be... trained... to fill other uses.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Alexander sighs, Well, it is apparent that you aren't the Stag Lord we've heard so much about. what did you say your name was? Auchs? He frowns and looks down at the begging man-child. It might be a mercy to kill you. But being simple is no crime. Tend to your wounds, and for the love of the Gods, stop crying. You will not die today.
He cleans his sword with a wave of his hand and turns away. Now, let us find our real prey. You, speaking over his shoulder to the large man, point us to your leader and stay out of the way.
The Winds of Fate |
Auchs tries to stifle his sniffling and wipes his face on the end of his shirt.
"Master StagLord is always in the barracks. Dovan was being mean again though so I stayed up here in my room."
Auchs will lead the way to the barracks right next door. It is a one story structure built with stones and a thatched roof. The only door to it that you see is currently shut.
Alexander Orlovsky |
Alexander chuckles, Yes, surely they know we are coming by now. He tests the door to see if it is locked, though he doesn't try to completely open it. Either way, he lifts up his shield and nods to Radomir, Knock it down.
