Flanking with Kunala, Gustav strikes at the skeleton.
Light Hammer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

She would have waited until we were entering the desert before casting it since she knows the caves are fairly safe now. Still if she lives she will have learned something.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Well she will.. because it is dead, the Enemy. Kunala probably hit it.

Kunala indeed does damage the skeleton, but it is ... still.. barely animated.
Grinning at Elasbeth it continues his attacks driven by singleminded.... fury.
attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 141d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 141d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 131d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 and hitting the poor girl with 3 of his 4 claws. Another 8 damage.
Recap. Gin needed two hits to destroy the skel, ela and Gu missed and Kunala damaged his

Gustav steps out of the skeleton's reach and presses a hand to Elasbeth's shoulder. "Brigh, heal her!" Healing: 1d6 ⇒ 3

1 use of Fervor, 2 remaining.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

So these must have much more HP.. Okay let me lookon the map for positioning.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Okay Gin cant get a flank either way, he doesnt know which one went down because they are both there So he is us gunna swing hard.

Gin looks as the Skeleton savages Elasbeth and roars out as Electricity courses through his eye and to his blade.

" CHEEEESTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! "

Ragin' Powerful Jinrai: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 232d8 + 12 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 12 + (2) = 18

used Elemental Strike 2/3 left 7/10 rages left

Kunala, encouraged by atleast hitting the skeleton attempts to hit it again. Saying in his accented lisp.

die this time

Kunala attacks the most southern skeleton with his hammer.

Hammer, flanking attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + 2 = 8 for damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + (3) = 10 well crap

If you check carefully, the upper and the one before are turned upside down = Dead
With a hard slash gin kills the last skeleton.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Ahhhh that makes a whole lot more sense now. I'll remember that for later.

Gin breathes out and drops his weapon going over to Elasbeth to check her condition. He is breathing rapidly.. fro the fatigue, the situation and otherwise. He doesnt have enough breath to speak but inspects Elasbeth with his hands, testing wounds.

oops, ignore that post :)

Kunala, smiles as he waves his hammer uselessly in the air. Eventually putting it up up and reloading his pistol he exclaims in his accented lisp.

Well done Gin, I Knew a handsome strong silent-type would come in handy! Elasbeth, are you Ok? Are we safe to go on?

Once the group is ready he resumes his spot beside and behind Gin and follows along.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

I will update when I get home in a few hours.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Being injured enough to be at risk the way these things go after her, Elasbeth pulls out the wand Kunala handed her the day before Think it was the day before and uses it once to heal a bit more.
cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Feeling only slightly better, she stores the wand where it can be easily reached in a hurry if they are attacked again. She then casts a spell and is coated in a thin layer of energy, "That is the last time I forget to cast that spell when we go into hostile territory. I am good to continue now, lets just try to keep future enemies off of me."

I used one charge of the wand and then cast mage armor on myself.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Elas took 10 damage overall from that fight she healed 2 from the wand

Gin still seems very worried and places a hand on her shoulder " Stay closu, It ran fromu me. " picking up his sword and sighing at his failure.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

I healed 3 from our battle priest too.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Tis true, he indeed healed you 3 My apologies

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Gin continues to move along the trail this time keeping Elasbeth close to him by the hand.

Kunala will walk along flanking Gin and Elasbeth, pistol at the ready, softly whistling a jaunty tune, keeping an eye out.

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Gustav keeps light on his hammer, and follows after Kunala while watching their rear.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

As the party walks along Kunala, feeling rather optimistic, starts to skip to the Jaunty tune he is whistling.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Accepting Gin's gesture, Elasbeth keeps pace and, seeing that Gustav is watching their rears, starts to swish her hips a bit more as she walks to give him something better to look at.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Your distracting Gin too from the front now..

Slowly you notice you come to the end but it seems that here is more sand. It is not easy going to move up the dunes and you soon feel some gritty sand in your boots. From now on its difficult terrain.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Gin looks down.. slightly confused but not too surprised and continues. He assumes the same would happen with snow, except not cold.

Kunala stops skipping and whistling but continues following Gin, a little beside and behind.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Gin moved up until he found what looked like a cave and peered inside.

Gustav brings his lit hammer closer to illuminate the cave.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

With what has happened so far, Elasbeth is nervous about this cave, "I am glad to see caution is winning out, this place has not been pleasant so far."

"From this, I see what you mean. It's quite the spectacle - my head is still trying to get around the scale of what it would have taken for a place like this to be created. But walking through those previous rooms, it looks like this might have been constructed by someone. Fascinating!" Gustav chews on a piece of jerky from his pack.

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Getting out a bite of food and eating it, "The engineering needed to do it is unbelievable. I am not even sure if it could be done by anyone at present."

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

Lol I almost forgot about the mobile Gin-food cart

Gin isnt sure what to think of it he was both amazed and afraid for varying reasons. " Thisu isu .. odd "

"Agreed. It shouldn't be, yet it is! What a marvel to behold. It makes me wonder what we'll find even deeper in."

Kunala, stops with the party, instead of eating he dabs his brow with his silk hankie and then takes a drink from his water, listening to the conversation for a moment he asks in his accented lisp

Is the engineering magic or something else? Is it just the desert or all of it, the tentacle creature, the "roe botts" the green eyes in the skeleton, is any of it magic? Maybe the temple of some god we don't know off?

Female Half-Elf Arcanist (White Mage) 4 | HP 20/20 (0nl) | AC 12 (16), tac 12, ff 10 (14) | Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +3 | Init +2 | Per +2 | Technologist | Arcane Reservoir 1/6

Tell me if I go too far out of line with I could know about this Helikon, I am basing what she knows off of her back story so I will try to keep it very simple.

"No Kunala, though it seems like it to those of us who don't understand how it works. These machines and robots are things we may be able to build ourselves one day. My parents studied the wreckage here in Numeria and I studied with them when I was old enough. Some time ago, I am not sure how long, a great vessel crashed from the sky, like a sailing ship run aground except it traveled the great beyond. With it's arrival came technological wonders and dangers. I know of only a few, the robots I had heard of but never had a description for, I have heard of powerful weapons and constructs that were not powered by magic. The skeleton things I have never heard of before, the same with the horrid tentacle thing." Elasbeth gets a haunted look as she continues, "There are also very tiny machines, so small you can not see them, called nanites that can do many terrible and wonderful things They can build and heal, tear down and destroy."

Kunala more interested in nanites, but seeing Elasbeths countenance pale, makes a different comparison

so, its like the powder in my pistol here, people who know how to make it, and use it, understand its just a type of chemical; where someone who doesn't know any better, like a savage, thinks its magic,

resting his elbow on his hand and stroking his goatee with his other hand, he ponders for a moment and then smiles and says in his accented lisp waving one of the brown cards

So we are the savages this time, and this is the unknown. Well it's not the first time I've been called a savage,

he winks at Elasbeth and then turning to Gustav asks

I've never been very religious, does all of this fall under Brigh's Jurisdiction or is this beyond his Domain?

”She is the Whisper in Bronze, goddess of invention. If hands made it, she will delight in it until the same thing proves dangerous to knowledge or understanding. Then it must be contained." Gustav scratches at some chin stubble. "Whether she has a greater interest in creations not from this world than things from this world, I am uncertain. It is likely that she enjoys seeing both come to fruition."

Kunala listens politely and then answers in his accented lisp

It seems to me, this cave or tunnel or giant desert room or what ever it is has come to "fruition" enough that someone has planted it and it is either rotting or growing, can anyone tell which? Anyway shall we proceed into the cave?

After everyone is done eating and they are ready to go Kunala will step between Elasbeth and Gin, so as to follow him into the narrow tunnel, pistol and shield in hands.

if it is dark what will we use for light? we still have the light rods Val gave us.

Gustav shrugs, "It is difficult to say. Who knows how long this - and those walking dead - have been here?"

He then casts light on the pauldron of his armor, then readies his hammer to follow Kunala.

Finishing a last bite of food, "I am, shall we?"

Walking gets difficult and finally you see another door ahead.
Perception rolls please!
Iniative rolls please!

Suddenly right before you a skeleton appears. And behind you. 3 of them. The 3 move up to Elasbeth, trying to flank them.
The one before moves up to gin, tryin to trip him.
Iniative Skels 23

Trip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
One manages to wound the young girl, and the one attacking Gin manages to trip him. They do ignore Gustav.
Just one piece of information Elasbeth. This is nothing personally against you. Or your char. They follow very strict orders. They attack the lowest armored target. Trust me... there will be much better days.

Male Half- Elf Bloodrager (Spelleater) 3| HP 28(34)/28(34) | AC 17(15) -T 11- FF 16 | F +5(+7)/R+2/W+1(+3) | CMB +7(+9)/CMD 18| Init +1 | Perc +8

If we saw them we are not flat footed wouldnt that make their attack provoke?

Gin stand up from Prone and Smashes a Skeleton.

I figured as much Helikon, and gin, we haven't gone yet in initiative so we are still flat footed since it is round one of combat.

Im aware I just fine it appropriate that they rolled high enough to beat us again, doesnt matter going to one shot them.
