Laria points to the back door that exits the Coffeehouse. "There should be a wheelbarrow out there from our last shipment. Feel free to make use of it, but please return it when you're finished."

Listening for rumors can be done either through the Gather Information rebellion action, or at your own accord by spending 1d4 hours in town and succeeding at a DC 15 Diplomacy check.

At some point, Issil gets bored of the underground. "I'm going topside. Taking the tengus with me. I'll see if we can attract more members to our little group here."

She hands the tengu some cloaks. "Keep those hoods over your head. I'll take care of any, er, tolls that come up."

Issil finds a corner in the market where people frequent- not too busy to catch the guard's attention, but enough to get foot traffic. "I'll dance and draw a crowd. You guys look around and see if people get the message about our little club."

Today, Issil performs Rise from your Grave, an interpretation of two long forgotten heroes brought back to perform one last duty by the gods against the lord of the netherworld. She doesn't have any Beast masks, so she can't alter her appearance.

Victor goes over the skin with the appraisal tools to get an idea of its value before he 'ships' it off to Newt. Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

While Issil goes to get some work done with the penguins, Victor rustles up that wheel barrow and with a little help from his friends, gets the croc skin into it and covered with a tarp. "Going to head on down to Newt's, see what I can't get for it." He puts up the hood on his cloak and heads out. After he clears the Coffeehouse he makes his way through a crowd and changes his face to match that of a rat catcher he sees down by the docks on occasion, plying his trade: Pug.

Pug's an old fella, chubby and balding, scraping by exterminating rats for a copper each for the city, and whatever else he can latch on to that made its way down in the sewer or along the shore. Looks like Pug came into a nice find with this fresh croc that managed to drown, stuck in that sewer grate and all.

He parks the wheelbarrow outside Newt's, pulls the hood from his face and heads inside "Howdy young feller, got a sweet suuuurprise outside fer ya to gander on... a huge fresh croc skin! Skun it up myself this mornin. Thinkin of sellin if the price is right... maybe buy a well made sap if ya got one? Gotta keep them drunks outta my turf!" He leans his head back and laughs, showing off some pretty rotted out teeth.

Geoffrey is surprised by the change of appearance in Victor but does give a hearty nod of approval. "Nice work, Vic--err--Pug. Even I cannot recognize you! Still please be careful." Once he has finished helping the 'old' man with the croc skin, he bids Victor farewell. "I will be back here later."

After swinging by the market he spends a few moments admiring Issil's performance before moving onto his final destination...The War Cage. Many of his former college acquaintances spent their time around the area, ever since the War classes he had studied were discontinued, their teaching now taken over by the Asmodean church, more specifically the Hellknights. This is all player supposition on my part....feel free to ignore it or rework it if you like.

He spies the posting wall where those who need a sword arm can post their interest here, but nothing new had been posted, which did not surprise him. I suspect there will be other ways to get the word out here. He thinks as he begins to canvass the crowds looking for any of his old friends whilst simultaneously avoiding the Dottari.

Pádraig Henry heads out of Longroad's Coffeehouse, winking at Laria as the door swings closed behind him, bell tinkling.

He strolls over to the Tooth and Nail in the Old Kintargo district. He waves at the owner, Setrona Sabinus. "Hi, Setrona. Need a little entertainment for your customers this afternoon? I could sing a few songs, keep them drinking long into their cups." He grins. "Today, I just feel like singing. No need to pay, I'll work for tips."

Issil & Tengu
Issil heads out to a busier part of the market with Korva and Maggie. A small crowd forms around her as she dances, and Korva and Maggie use the distraction to slip through and find citizens whose loyalty lies with the missing Lord-Mayor Bainilus.

Before long, Korva returns to Issil and nods knowingly. As they return to Wasp Nest, four new recruits follow behind them - Roguy Norwe, Ecix Cliamslew, Rione Eller, and Morgar Manthai. "I'd managed to recruit another six of them, but they'd like to remain blended in with the rest of the townspeople. A little paranoia, you know?" Korva whispers to Issil as they head back through the Coffeehouse.

You succeed in recruiting 10 new Silver Raven supporters, four of which will join you in the Wasp Nest. There is no benefit to having them in the Nest, but it would make sense that some of the more passionate supporters would join you. I have given them names and descriptions for flavor, because 'Recruits A B and 3' just isn't very immersive. :) Added to our tracker. I have not counted this as your action for the tengu but included them for RP as that was Issil's intent.

The Pug and The Newt

Victor estimates the gator skin ought to be worth about 100 gold pieces given its exotic white nature. He takes on a new face and makes for The Newt Market.

"A gator skin? Let me see that!" Newt smiles back at Pug with similarly rotted teeth and runs his hand along the length of it. "Oooooh yes... This will make the perfect scaled skin vest. Perhaps I can trick some foolish militia recruit into paying a premium for it. As for you, I'll give you..." He pauses as he scratches his patchy white beard. "Let's say a hundred gold for it. Deal?"

Geoffrey and The War Cage

Geoffrey marches south towards The War Cage, Kintargo's largest weapons shop. Outside is a sign with an axe and sword drawn on it, and the phrase Haunted by Quality. An arena-like structure outside the shop is setup as a sort of sparring area to practice using any newly purchased weapons. Geoffrey slips by to see a male halfling sparring with a giant of a female dwarf.

"It's all in the wrist, madame! Just like this!" The halfling slips underneath and through the dwarf's legs, smacking his tiny sword against her foot. She slams her hammer down after him, and it crumbles the cobblestone in front of her. She grunts, hefting the weapon back out and up.

"Yer makin' a fool of me, are ya? I kin swing all day, ya know!" She laughs.

"Indeed you could, but we should be getting back soon. Let's watch our step, too. I hear traveling alone at night in the Redroof district or Temple Hill can be pretty dicey. The gangs there are getting restless, and they say the Red Jills’ boss has gone some sort of crazy."

"Psssh. I'll show 'em crazy," the dwarf dismissively says, wandering off to the nearest tavern.

Tips for Pádraig

Pádraig is crossing the Bleakbridge again by going to the Tooth and Nail and will need to pay 3 cp each way.

Pádraig ventures across the Bleakbridge again, adn stops at the Tooth and Nail, where Setrona gladly accepts his offer. "Thank you. I'm afraid I don't have much to pay you with either way, Pádraig. Tough times and all that, as I'm sure you know," the tall human grins at him, tossing back her jet black hair.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Henry is here to entertain us with his voice. If you have a request, please ask him directly. Tips appreciated, but not necessary, of course. Enjoy!"

A small crowd forms at the makeshift stage setup at the back of the bar, and Pádraig listens closely for anything interesting. And so he does, in fact, hear something particularly juicy from a human wearing a poofy white dress.

"Did you hear? The Thrashing Badger burned down a few nights ago. They’re saying it was another bar fight gone too far, but they’re just a bunch of drunk old professors and barristers... Seems like a lot of places are burning down lately, between this, the Silver Star, and the Victocora estate."

The last remaining shreds of sunlight disappear behind the horizon, and darkness begins to stretch her fingers across Kintargo.

Not quite curfew yet, but close. If Morvena wants to split as well as do something while all this had gone on, please go ahead and do so. If not, I'll assume she accompanied Geoffrey?

"Welcome to the Silver Ravens. Well, what's left of it. The point is, Thrune sucks and we're going to take Kintargo back. Let me introduce you to Morvena, Geoffrey, Pádraig, and... where's the last member?" Issil isn't sure if Victor changed forms, or if he wants to stay hidden, or what.

Both Rebellion activities completed for the week, so I rolled for the Event, which has a 20% chance of occurring. I rolled 70, so no event occurs this week.

Week 1, Day 2
With everyone back in the Wasp Nest, you turn in for the night with your tengu friends and fresh recruits. The night passes without incident. The following morning, you awaken to Rexus standing next to the once gator-infested pool. He casually waves you over, though his expression is one of concern.

"Good morning. Sleep well? I... could not." He stares down at the pool. "I've been thinking about my parents and the Night of Ashes. Our estate was burned to the ground and they've gone missing. Up until now, I've visited the remains of the estate twice, determined to find some clues as to where they might be. Unfortunately, I've had to flee both times to dottari patrols before getting too far." He sighs, then turns to face Geoffrey. "I doubt there's anything left in the estate at all other than mound upon mound of ash... But there were two other buildings that were similarly razed that night. My parents were part of the Sacred Order of Archivists, and I suspect they were targeted by Thrune's agents for this reason. The music store.. The Silver Star, I believe it was called, and the Thrashing Badger tavern were also taken down, perhaps for similar association?" He shrugs. "At any rate, it may do us and our cause well if you would investigate the ruins and see what you might be able to learn."

Knowledge (Religion or Local) DC 10, The Silver Star:
You recall that The Silver Star was not only owned by Shensen, herself an outspoken critic of Thrune, but the chambers below the music store served as a shrine to Sarenrae.

Knowledge (Religion or Local) DC 15, Thrashing Badger:
You know that The Thrashing Badger was reputed to be a favorite watering hole for the rebellious cult of Milani.

"I guess once it burned I never really thought about going back to look for clues, seems like now is a great time to start."

He stands up and stretches the kinks out of his back, sleeping on the remains of a table and a thin bedroll not doing him any favors. "As for these others matters, I have no preference to where we investigate first," she adds. "Though the Silver Star admittedly sounds a bit more...intriguing."

"Yeah, I'll take 'em daggers!" Jay says, nabbing all three of them. "Always wanted to try this." He spreads his hand wide on a table and starts stabbing the space between each finger, slowly at first, then increasing in speed until he accidentally nicks the side of his feathered thumb. "YOW!" He grimaces in pain, grabbing his thumb in his other hand. Korva and Maggie throw their palms in their faces.

"Thank you. I can accompany you if you wish, but my time may be better spent here, combing through this treasure trove of Silver Ravens history," Rexus replies, patting the current volume he'd been working on as if it were his pet puppy. "As always, be wary of the dottari, especially when searching the burnt remains of a Thrune-backed razing."

GM Rolls:

1d100 ⇒ 47

You depart the Wasp Nest once more and exit the Coffeehouse to a cool, cloudy morning. Following Rexus' instructions, you make for The Silver Star, located quite close to Aria Park, but across the guarded Bleakbridge.

This again means you all must pay the 3 cp toll. Hey, at least it's copper!

The ruins of the Silver Star are a sinkhole filled with scorched rubble. It appears the building collapsed into the chambers below when it burned, leaving nothing visibly valuable behind. Mounds of ash cover the destroyed store sign, the four points of a silver hand-drawn star still visible behind the burn marks.

Two guards cautiously patrol the streets in this area, but you might be able to take some time to search through the rubble without being noticed.

You can spend 1 hour searching the rubble with a Perception check.

Geoffrey waves off Rexus's 'offer' to accompany the group. "I think you should stay here Rexus. The sooner you get those documents translated, the better."

As the party approaches the ruins of the Silver Star he points out the guards patrolling the area. [smaller]"Judging by their patrol patterns, they do not look thrilled about patrolling here. We can use this to our advantage by being patient here." Geoffrey informs the others.

You collectively comb through the Silver Star rubble together, lifting rocks up to hopefully expose the chambers below what was once Kintargo's finest music store. Victor is stealthy enough in his search, and you manage to get deep enough in the remains that no dottari nor militia notice you.

As Issil picks up a boulder and hefts it away, she steps on what must have been a supporting stone. A miniature avalanche tumbles down below to where she stands, nicking and bruising her poor ankle.

Issil will take 8 damage unless she succeeds at a DC 15 Reflex save

After spending the hour searching, Padraig picks up one more stone block and spots the corner of a burnt metal coffer deep inside the sinkhole.
